First time at Moe's. My Son-in-law and I arrived at 2:30 on a Wednesday and three were in chairs with the only three barbers. The interior was adequate, with a very long, padded bench for those waiting. There were six televisions, three facing the barber chairs and three facing the people waiting. The temperature was good inside despite an unusually hot day. The three girls cutting hair were ridiculously meticulous, which made the wait too long. It's nice to have someone concerned about a good cut but I think it was more lack of experience that caused the wait. We left at 4:05. Too long for a haircut. My barber kept asking for help with my cut from another barber. No amenities were offered, like water or whatever. I couldn't partake in the chatter between the barbers and other customers since it was all in Spanish. Possible repeat visit but I might keep looking for a better barber. read more

Only reason I came toe this barbershop is because I followed my barber. However they made a big deal about setting up appointments. So I stopped going now I hear they are doing appointments. Smh.... read more

FINALLY! I have had my beard butchered at a couple different shops around the West Valley. I have a longer beard and it's surprising how many barbers don't know how to trim a beard when it's long. But the barbers at Moe's know what they are doing! Mariana does excellent work every time I come in. She trimmed the beard just the way I requested and even made suggestions to improve the beard shape and look. Moe's Barbershop has a great team, great atmosphere, and a new customer! read more

I called before coming in to check how long is the wait and they said there was no wait so I decided walk in. When I got there, there were probably 3 customers and i was told to wait a few minutes as they clean up the chair i will be in. 30 minutes later, they finally came to get me. I explained to the barber what cut i wanted and then he started cutting after. It was a total mess. He almost shaved me head. He also kept talking and talking and gossiping with the other barbers and customers so my session took forever to finish. Very disappointed with my service. I was really hoping this would be my new "go to" barber since we just moved to Laveen not too long ago. read more

Appointments only is ridiculous. Not everyone wants to download an app to get a haircut. Losing a lot of business on walk ins.

I decided to try this place out a month ago prior to leaving to vacation. Since I live down the street it was a no brainer. Overall the barbers there are all talented. There wasn't a wait time so that's always a bonus. The particular gentleman who cut my hair was a bit nervous. So as someone getting a haircut that only keeps you wondering how your hair turns out. Overall haircut went ok. Had another barber correct my barbers mistakes, and I didn't even receive a proper line up. Maybe I'll decide to give this place another shot. read more

First of all Scott must be trying to get something free by leaving a bad review. HELL the dude doesn't even have any hair... suspicious? I think so. (Draw a line down the middle of Scott's head and you will know exactly what he is.) I love this new barber shop. I was referred by a friend to Moses. He is the man. Been in the barber business for years in the valley and finally broke off to start his own shop. When I was in there, he was taking great care of his customer, doing their doo. When one of the children waiting got fussy. He took the time to get the little girl a sucker and did something that warmed the hearts of everyone who was watching. read more

Dropped my son off to get a cut while I ran a couple errands. Only to return 35 mins later and he's still waiting. As we wait we see other customers getting in the chair that signed in after him. They finally look at him and ask his name and show him where he was on the list. There he was at the top as 5 other names after his were crossed out. 1 hour later he's in a chair. Very unprofessional and unorganized. We will not be returning. read more

Worst haircut in my life, I don't know if the guy was new, showed him a picture and everything and he still fucked up, and he still charged me for a normal haircut would not recommend them at all, get better barbers or don't charge $18 + for a piece of of shit of a cut. I scheduled an appointment at 4:30 and when I realized I would be a little late, I called them and let them know Steph made it seem like that would be ok on the phone. I showed up at the shop at 4:40(TEN MINUTES LATE), and Moe's wife Steph instantly started rolling her eyes at me and treated me like I wasn't a paying customer. She then informed me I would have to wait until after the next customer to get a hair cut. So I did. After said customer I was informed I would have to wait again (with attitude from steph). Long story short I waited until 7PM to get in the chair. After I was in the chair Steph came up to me and asked me "can I take your card and process your charge because we will be closing soon" to which I replied "No I would like to be there for my transaction" The whole time I'm getting my hair cut the main barber moe is having conversations with another customer and keeps walking away from my haircut for minutes at a time, and then had the nerve to say "I have to get out of here" and passed me the mirror. Half of my hair was obviously way longer than the other half. When i asked him to fix it he did but with attitude. After I got out of the chair Steph nonchalantly tried to charge me 30 dollars for a 18 dollar hair cut (no wonder she wanted to take my card and do it for me)because "i set an appointment" a charge which no one told me about prior to this moment, and I've been going here for 2 years now. I respond no way I'm paying 30 dollars for this. She then called Moe over and he said "it's ok don't charge him for the appointment, we just won't be doing appointments for him anymore". Then she tried to charge me 25 to which I responded NO WAY. And the whole time she is talking to me like I'm less than human let alone a PAYING CUSTOMER. At the end of everything she charges me 20 dollars for the cut which is still absurd, but I paid it. I didn't leave a tip because Moe did a shit Job with my hair and I felt disrespected by the staff, Steph then screams across the shop "look moe he didn't leave a tip" (bad business 101) First things first, I am in no way obligated to leave a tip for a job that was less than satisfactory. I recommend if you need a hair cut in Laveen you DONT that's DO! NOT! go to Moe's Barber shop on 51st ave and baseline. They will try to rip you off and will treat you like you OWE THEM money. Steph is the most unpleasant person to be running a business since hitler and Moe is a lazy barber. If you like messed up hair cuts and disrespectful people then you should definitely go to Moe's barber shop. If I could leave ZERO stars or LESS I would. While Moe's is usually so busy that you will always have wait for your haircut (even if you make an appointment), the haircut is always pretty good, to great & the prices are very reasonable. I usually get Virginia to cut my hair. I don't know how it works out like that, but I nearly always get her. Virginia is pleasant, and fastidious, and I always walk out feeling good about my new haircut. My only complaint is that Moe's is closed on Sundays. I usually work late during the week, so weekends are prime haircut days. Maybe, if they were open on Sundays, Saturdays would be less packed, and walk-ins wouldn't have to wait thirty minutes for a haircut. read more

I read other people's reviews about the wait times. It made me want to check it out more. Any good place to get a haircut always has a long wait time.‍ Since I'm always around 51 ave & Baseline rd, I figured I'd check it out. It's now been a couple of months. The folks their are pretty cool. Very relaxed. I've met some new friends, other folks getting haircuts too. I get a haircut every week because I guess I'm a little OCD about my hair. So it has to be perfect. I tip well so it better be. There's nothing like getting a great haircut an going out with that extra confidence. Only thing I didn't like was LaFitness is right next to the barber shop. Parking lot is uselessly full. So you have to find parking. But with all the Hot women in leggings coming in an out of LaFitness makes it worth it. read more

I just received one of the BEST haircuts in YEARS by Adriana. I recently moved to the Laveen area from the east valley and was hesitant to try something new. I wasn't sure what to expect going in, but was instantly impressed with the shop by its clean and greatly structured look. If you like wearing hats, this is the place to be! Cause you'll be covering up your head for a while with the messed up cut you'll get. Called in and ask how long the wait was, they said "10 mins or so we'll have 3 chairs open!" Even with 6 barbers around, I waited more than an hour! Guy in 1st or 2nd chair by the entrance took his sweet a** time too knowing there were people waiting. read more

Got sidetracked and forgot to document the great haircut I got from Moe about 4 weeks ago. First off, the shop is clean, with lots of TVs and seating for your convenience. I was growing the hair a bit longer so was a little nervous about getting the right cut. Moe introduced himself to me and said he would take care of me. One thing that was very clear was that this guy really cares about taking care of his clients. There were about 4/5 barbers at the time all full--a good sign. Moe called me over and before he began cutting he asked me what I was looking for in detail. That assured me and never felt he was just waiting to call the next client. He talked me through what he felt would look his best, and I am glad I agreed. I got a very tailored look that I don't believe could have been cut better. On a personal note, Moe introduced me to his family and was obviously a good family man who is native to the south Phoenix area. It felt right to support this local family business. A great cut for a good price. So, thank you. I'll definitely be back! read more

I arrived at 6:08 pm and put my name on the waitlist... I understand that there were only 2 barbers so the wait may be lengthy. As 740 approaches and I am still patiently waiting knowing I am next on the list, I am leapfrogged by one of the barbers "boys". At that point in time I simply walked out and will no longer return. It's just unfortunate that I wasted all that time for nothing. read more

Had an appointment at 1:00 pm with Virginia and arrived at 12:45. I was told my appointment was at 2:00 and was shown the appointment book that had my name at 1:00 pm crossed out. Was told that was another customer....won't be going back......ever! read more

I took my son to this place several times and after the last time we will NEVER go back. They messed up my sons hair so bad it was embarrassing for him and I both. My son started complaining of his scalp being itchy for quite awhile , but didn't think to much of it at first. But then I started inspecting his scalp and that is when I saw the flakey stuff stuck to his scalp. , this was not dandruff but actual scalp issues . We went to the doctor and he had to have special medicine to treat his scalp. The doctor said it was because the tools were not cleaned from the last place he got his haircut. Which was Moe's. We hadn't changed shampoos or did anything different than our original routine. Please be aware of this when choosing a safe and clean place to take your child to get a haircut. read more

I opened the door to look in, saw how busy it was and proceeded to leave and the owner stopped me saying it wasn't busy. So I sat down. 30 minutes went by and in that time only two had finished their cuts. I proceeded to walk out and no one tried to stop me. Clearly Moe's didn't want my business that badly. Decent haircuts. However, I just wish we could see the final results in the big mirror. They never let you look in the big mirror. They will let you use a small hand held to reflect unto the big mirror but it's a no no to directly look onto the mirror. Unfortunately, I missed a spot and didn't notice it until I got home and looked on my big mirror. Small issue but I think I'll go somewhere else next time :/ read more

Came by on a Monday evening after work. I brought my 8 year old in and we waited only a few mins and he was in the chair. I had a general idea of what I wanted and explained to the barber. She gave my son the best cut he has ever had and took her time, she was very precise. I am very happy with the results and my son loves his cut. Courteous and attentive staff, clean, and full of TVs. It was also a plus they had TVs on both sides for people in the chairs, and if you are waiting. I definitely will be bringing my son back. read more

First of all, this place has an extremely clean atmosphere. Moe cut my hair, and I was extremely satisfied with his cut. He is very attentive to detail, yet he did finish within a reasonable time. I don't see myself going to another barbershop. If there was an option for 7 stars, this place definitely deserves it! read more

Moe's is awesome. Great place, friendly people work there. They cut both of my boy's hair fast, but the cut was perfect. I am so tried of waiting forever at other barber shops or the cut taking forever and by the next day you see all the flaws in the cut. Didn't happen here. We have been to every barber shop in Laveen and there are quite a few, but this is the only one the kids ask for. read more
