They told me I could plug it in anywhere if I needed to recharge, but there were actually very few places in the park with outlets, and you had to leave it plugged in for a while to get any charge. I plugged it in for a short time, and it ran out of juice again. When I returned the scooter to the store, they asked, "Didn't you charge it overnight first?" They never told me that in order to get the full range I would have to charge it overnight first. I picked it up the morning we were going; they knew I was heading straight to the park. I don't know if they gave it to me with a full charge or not; it sounds like maybe they were counting on me to make sure it was fully charged, without explaining that to me. If you rent a scooter from them, double check the situation with the charge, make sure you have a full charge before you go somewhere with limited time/ability to recharge. I expressed my dissatisfaction upon returning it, but they didn't seem that concerned. They apologized, but some sort of discount on this rental (which they did not offer) would have made me feel like they were actually sorry.

I brought the chair in on Saturday morning and had it back on Monday morning. Not only did Mobility, Etc. fix the wires, they used some clever attachments to help avoid the pulling of wires during folding and unfolding in the future.
