He listened to what we had to say and is currently considering various ways to provide funding. To be truthful even if I don't get a loan with 1st United, I'd would have no problems in letting others know where to go.

My family has been banking with American Bank of Texas for over 20 years. Since the recent change…read morein management, a few of my family members have experienced poor service, and unethical treatment at times, even at the management level. My father generally cashes his social security benefits every month. Last month we noticed when we got home that they gave us $100 short of the expected amount in the envelope. Instead of reviewing the security tapes, or looking into the matter, management became hostile and accused us of miscounting. Nicely done. This past Friday, my sister had a travel emergency and went to get her family passports out of their safe deposit box. The bank unfortunately refused to let her into her own safe deposit box because even though it was 40 mins before the bank closing time, they had already set the vault alarm for the day. My sister was forced to cancel an international trip. We've had a box here for decades and have never had an issue until the past few months with this new management. We have commercial and personal accounts here. My entire extended family has agreed to close all 6 accounts we have with this bank and will take our banking needs elsewhere.

First off the teller was rude, stating if I did not have an account that he would not be able to make change. I told him that I was from out of town trying to help my daughter move and my closest bank was 45 mins away. He told me that was not his problem. I asked to speak with the branch manager and was told they were not on site. I requested to speak with the assistant branch manager and he said, "she will tell you exactly what I told you." I asked to speak with her regardless. I saw him walk into an office and he came back and said, " she is busy with another customer and cannot speak to you. She said we cannot help you." I asked for the number to call back. The teller walked around the bank to an empty desk and pulled out a business card and handed it to me. I thanked him. When I looked over at the assistant manger's office, she was standing there texting on her phone. No one was in the office nor was she on the phone! I would NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH SIMMONS BANK! NO INTEGRITY! You are a banking institution, you should help the people in your community because it reflects upon your business ethics! When I called the number on the business card, it went to a random voicemail. Note: When I walked in there was only one customer in the whole bank, that ought to tell you what their community thinks about doing business with them as well! HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! I also called their main banking customer service over 3 days ago and still have not received a call back!

I'm not sure why some people have a problem with First State Bank. I have been treated like family. I opened an account when I was 17 yrs old. I want to THANK ALL THE EMPLOYEES that have helped me over the years. Please don't let the words of others sway your decision. Try for yourself. If you don't like them, you can always leave. I never will. My parents and Siblings both banked there when they lived here as well. No complaints from them either. I have gotten loans and they have been as fair as they can be. So, the value has been good. THANK YOU FSB! I appreciate all you do. Regards, CR ( this should say Gainesville)
