I brought it up to the owner on Facebook and brought up the food was soggy and not grilled at all. She gaslit me big time. Like it was my fault and I yelled at her employee and accused my husband of yelling at her employee which we did not. I was very taken back by the owners response. Bad customer service all the way around. It actually saddened me because I wrote in because its a good store and thought she should know what happened. She did not get her facts right and did not believe me. Very argumentative and rude both the owner and the one employee. The others were pretty nice. I will never go back there again.

I'd always assumed Pulp was just another Smoothie King, but Pulp is a lot like Tropical Smoothie Cafe, in that they offer wraps (a pleasant surprise on this first stop); however, and a slight bummer, Pulp only offers cold wraps. I ordered their Avocado Turkey Wrap on a spinach tortilla with extra turkey meat and a Smooth Avocado smoothie. The wrap was great - no frills or new-age ingredient twists, just basic, solid toppings that are health conscious. I'll add that the lady working the counter was very polite. I was taking longer than usual to read the menu/ingredients, and she never rushed me or seemed impatient to wait.

They also have pre-order sour dough loaves with specialty flavors so we put in an order to grab one on our way out the following morning!! It's a tiny old-school ice cream stand, done up in tropical/surfer garb. There was a taco truck beside it, but I'd had lunch. The menu is somewhat Latin American, but there are the usual favorites too. They had signs for a "mangolada," and though I didn't know what it was I got one. I usually go for the specialty of the house- there's often a reason for its being one. I assumed it would be something like a pina colada with mango added, but no: mango juice, lime juice, mango chunks, and hot pepper powder on the rim and throughout the drink. Not very hot, just a tingle, mostly cold and refreshing just with a little zip. Perfect on a warm spring day. Service was fast and friendly. Prices are good. Parking could be tight at busy times, so be careful. Definitely a place I'd visit a lot when in town.
