Everything about this experience was informative, productive and fun. Frederick Howard was our instructor, and he never let the class drag; he always kept it interesting and moved at the perfect pace, leaving plenty of time for questions but moving fast enough that the classes weren't too long. He is a good teacher and a very warm and engaging guy. The class is given at the Keller Williams office in Inglewood, and the teachers are all Keller agents. Not only do you get the education to pass the exam, but also a lot of practical information and the benefit of their experience. In addition to being excellent instructors, I would recommend the agents at Keller for all of your real estate needs, particularly at this location. The in-class experience is a bit more expensive, but you get the benefit of interaction and real-world knowledge that you simply wouldn't get in an online setting. The curriculum is good all-around, but the extra personal touch you get with face-to-face instruction is key to understanding the business itself and launching a career in real estate. The three electives given are enough to apply for the state exam. The classroom gives a solid foundation, and the books build on the in-class lectures. There is a portal to lots of useful information and tests on your book knowledge as you go. Once you pass everything, you have the three certificates needed to take the California licensing exam, and there is detailed information on the portal on how to apply for the exam. There is also review information and practice exams. I'm going to start the application process today, as well as the review. California Realty Training has given me the confidence to take the exam and has greatly increased the chance to pass it on the first try. Just like most things in life, the class is only as good as the quality time and effort that you put into it. If you're serious about getting started in real estate and are willing to put in the time outside of class to supplement the excellent in-class lessons, I guarantee you will be well prepared for both the exam and to start your new life as an agent.

Having obtained a real estate license in another state previously, there were certain things that came back to me easily, however this is California and there are quite a few more rules and regulations licensees must know. My instructor, Art Rodriguez, consistently went above and beyond to make sure that all students had a thorough understanding of the lessons at hand. In addition, he and the Managing Broker, Scott, made themselves available outside of regular class hours and provided multiple resources in order for students to prepare for and pass the state exam. Art took the education part a step further by encouraging students to attend "agent only" classes and join in the weekly new listing caravan, in order to get a better idea of what to expect once a license is obtained. How cool is that?!? I look forward to taking my exam and am posting this to thank Art and Scott for their professionalism and commitment to their students, agents and the entire real estate industry. Trying to find a security school that offers these classes more than once a month is like trying to find a needle in a haystack, so Google is it to find a trainer. These guys, like Covered 6, cater to GI Bill folks and EP programs that run around $10,000 so I called them to see if they offer stand alone baton training. Called on 4/8/24 at 10:29am, got John Gill's voicemail, left a message. As of this post on 4/14/24 at 5:48pm, I have yet to receive a callback. Appears that they only cater to those that want to enroll in one of their multi-week courses and looking to pursue a career in EP so if you're just a security guard, this is a no-go.

Jonathan is not a teacher and doesn't do a good job pretending that he is. you wont get to work much at all and will spend most of the time listening to him talk (he goes on and on without saying much, except the rare times you get to work, then feedback is non-exsistent,). He cannot control a classroom and many of my classmates were upset about the quality of the class, the fact that we rarely got to work, and that he lets people in the class who clearly just want attention ask questions and take a huge portion of the class. I could have learned more by reading on the internet, filming myself acting as a host, and watching it back. If you are serious about your career, save yourself the hassle and go somewhere else.
