The communication is HORRIBLE. The day before my court date I had not heard from no one. I did get…read morea call from someone who wanted to discuss my review. She asked if I would consider changing it. And added if I keep getting the lack of communication that was so unacceptable. The next day I got an email stating they were sorry and the attorney assigned to my case got pneumonia. Hmmm, that attorney had 30 days before she got sick. And yet another continuance and did not notify me of anything. I thought they withdrew from my case and did not notify me on that either. I have made several requests for a referral of an attorney who could handle a Landlord Tenant issue. I was assured by the last person I would get that referral, I did not get it. I did change my review as she asked. But once the excuses kept coming. I decided to remove that review on another platform. I know yelp people can't pay to have negative reviews removed. Also, they kept sending me notices for reviews. They hadn't done a thing on my case and yet they wanted a review. I have not been to court to give a plea. They just got 2 contuances and they want their money for service not preformed because everyone is sick!!! I may reach out to the bar association. I'm tired of this dishonest law firm not keeping me informed and demanding payments. No one is ever in their office in Belton. I can prove my whereabouts. I am INNOCENT OF ALL CHARGES. Yet the very first attorney I spoke with said, " we will make a plea for a lesser charge. " I'm not pleading anything but NOT GUILTY.

I want to be fair and respectful in writing this review, because I'm sure Mark and Courtney Gilmore…read moreare good people, and I can only speak to my own personal experience with their law firm. I hired Gilmore Law Firm after my accident in 2018 to handle my settlement case. It is now 2026, approximately eight years later, and my case still has not been settled. During that entire time, I have only spoken with Mark once. Most of my communication has been with Courtney. Unfortunately, communication has been one of the most frustrating parts of this experience. There have been many times when I've reached out and waited weeks, often around a month, before receiving a response. Courtney has regularly apologized for the lack of communication and given me updates about negotiations, including what has sounded like very encouraging progress and settlement numbers. However, when I respond or ask follow-up questions, I often do not hear back again until weeks later. I understand that legal cases can take time, negotiations can be complicated, and attorneys have many clients. I also don't want to make assumptions about what is happening behind the scenes. But from a client's perspective, going approximately eight years without resolution and consistently struggling to receive timely communication has been extremely discouraging and frustrating. I'm writing this because I believe prospective clients deserve to know what my experience has been before deciding who to hire. If you choose to work with this firm, I would strongly recommend having a very clear conversation upfront about expected timelines, communication frequency, who will personally handle your case, and how quickly questions will be answered. I genuinely wish Mark and Courtney well, and I hope my case is ultimately brought to a successful conclusion. But based on my experience to this point, I cannot recommend the firm without serious reservations regarding communication and the extraordinary amount of time my case has taken.
