She confirmed the issue was resolved, even stating in writing: "My boss and I have fixed your account and this has been resolved... going forward this should not be an issue again." A check was issued, and I was assured everything was taken care of. Now months later, I log into the portal and see a balance with no prior notice. I reached out again and was told -- by Ms. Romero this time -- that the account is "taken care of" once more. But no one has explained what happened behind the scenes, why the issue came back, or taken any responsibility for the confusion. There was no transparency, no breakdown of the error, and no real accountability. I submitted everything that was asked of me months ago, followed all instructions, and yet the issue silently resurfaced with no clarity. This level of communication and lack of professionalism is extremely frustrating. If something goes wrong, customers deserve an explanation -- not dismissive responses and vague reassurances.

I believe that Icon Realty was involved in hacking my bank account. I leased an apartment in the heart of las olas/Fort Lauderdale from December 2016, from Atlantic loft llc. I agreed to pay a 2 month security deposit of $2400 as well as first, last and security (pretty standard) got my key, etcétera. After 2 different companies handling our property, ICON Realty came in January 2020 and revamped property by implementing a ***online payment service ***** aka , a way to get into your bank account. I questioned who this is and why I had to use this system to pay, not only to be replied with "It is our new system and you have to use it, you must pay rent this way or consult your attorney" As I went ahead and used it but decided to not renew my upcoming ending lease of 3/30/20. I emailed, texted and explain that I would not be renewing the lease because not only I don't trust the payment system, I had a very difficult time communicating with Benjamin (who by the way runs the whole thing). He ignored all my calls and the ones he replied, he did very rudely. I promptly moved out on schedule and handed him the keys along with my original lease agreement. He took the keys and said that He did not have a refund and I would need to wait 30 days to receive one on the mail. Now 30 days later. My bank account has been HACKED and bank investigated the multiple charges leading back to that January rent payment. I have been getting random withdrawals from different wiring entities totaling over 1k so far. Due to covid19, I can not yet file a claim in court. And the reason I am writing this is to WARN tenants and landlords about companies like this! I am attaching the refund check I just received. What a joke! See you in court.
