We put $200 down, and they painted, put down fresh carpet and renovated just for us. It was great. The catch: they were about 2 weeks late, and we were lucky we could stay in our current place. Maintenance was perfect and reasonable. And, when my wife and I found a house to buy and move into halfway through our lease, they worked with us so we had no penalties or fees, and we moved out early. Like with good rental agencies, if you pay on time, they work with you. We were extremely happy.

I signed my least for 33058 Alanson St, Westland, MI on August 12, 2022 when we had no where else…read moreto go. That same day I found a smashed roach after already moving my items in. I tried thinking maybe hey it's been a unit that hasn't been lived in for a while so maybe that's the only one and it's dead. That was my first mistake, but I never dealt with roaches before so I had no clue. I kept seeing them and they just kept getting worse the entire time I lived there! We constantly had problems left and right like they wouldn't stop. Our sinks constantly backed up, our thermostat was broken when we moved in, the front door wouldn't close properly when we moved in, our entire downstairs part of our unit constantly smelt of sewage. They sent a maintenance person to come "fix" the sewage problem and they literally threw one of my towels in the vent and taped it up with box tape saying "hopefully that fixes the problem" which it never did. We dealt with that smell up until we finally got out of there. We had mice problems from our neighbors getting evicted and hundreds leaving their house and infesting every crevice of my yard, trash can, a few got into my car somehow, and a lot got into my house. They told me the pest problem was ours to take care of according to my lease and after complaining about it a bunch they decided to come drop a pesticide down in the crawl space of my downstairs closet. Again they still never did anything about the roaches. After about 10 months of dealing with this entire mess we were finally sick of it and moved in with some family. Come to find out they charged us $1500 on top of keeping our $700 security deposit for "damages". They claimed we caused damage to the carpets, doors, glass on the doors, thermostat cover and apparently we took the bolts to the toilet (who does that) when it was all already like that when we moved in! Then they really had the audacity to claim we never returned our keys on June 5, 2023 and was going to be expected to pay rent until they were returned even though I was already moved out and returned the keys on June 3, 2023. To top it all off we had to get rid of every single thing we owned because they knowingly rented us a house that had roaches!!!!! I am beyond disgusted with this company and will never be doing any sort of business with them nor will I ever recommend this establishment to anyone I know! Do better Norplex Associates, you quite literally took advantage of my family because we are young and knew we had no other place to go!
