Nice service tech. However, Propane 4 Less' billing practices are questionable and it would be beneficial if they posted a sign indicating how exactly they charge customers. On multiple occasions, I see the price per gallon, I see the number of gallons added to my tank, THEN the amount charged to my credit card is significantly more than expected -- higher than just 9.75% sales tax. WHAT SPECIFIC CHARGES ARE BEING ADDED?? WHY ARE CUSTOMERS SURPRISED BY THE AMOUNT ON CREDIT CARD?? They are like the guy at the deli who puts their thumb on the scale. PLEASE EXPLAIN AND INFORM CUSTOMERS OF EXTRA CHARGES BEING ADDED!!!! Read the reviews. Multiple customers mention shady billing practices. Something fishy going on here. The service is great, the person greeted me with a smile, he was cordial and was very efficient. I am so happy I have found this place and will return. A full 20lb cost me 14 dollars to fill up. It's a rather empty lot with a shed-like office and a propane tank/pump. You pull in, park, take your tanks and place them onto the tank rack (often assisted by the clerk, but depends on the worker,) and wait until they're filled. You're charged by how many gallons you take. The price fluctuates, but not nearly as drastically as gasoline. Usually the cheapest around. Watch out with the little old man who will try to trick you into paying more, second time he does this to me, tonight he tried to tell me it was more, I caught him both times, this time I pulled out my calculator ahead of time and he prefers cash, I wonder why! He probably pockets money here and there from customers who just pay trusting what he says the total is... none of the others do that. Beware to look at the gauge and do your own math, last time he tried to tell me 4.5 gallons gets rounded up to 5 gallons and wanted to charge me more. This was my first time using this place to fill up my propane tanks. It was about eight miles away from where I live but worth the drive and this is now my go to place for propane. The man who helped is so nice he not only filled my three tanks with propane but was very diligent about checking to make sure there were no leaks and then put them in my SUV arranged so they wouldn't fall over. A very nice man but I don't think he speaks a lot of English which is fine because he is a very polite nice person. I have been exchanging tanks at my local BBQ Galore but it generally costs about $25.00 per tank. I had three tanks filled for $32.85 total at Propane 4 Less $2.25 per gallon, best price is right. Yesterday I stopped by a Shell station which sells propane but fortunately the guy was too busy to help me so I left they were charging $4.50 per gallon of propane. Needed to refill my tanks for a Sunday BBQ and almost gave up trying to find places nearby that were open. Luckily I came across propane 4 less and decided to check them out. I sure was glad I did! Honestly the only propane place I visit. Very wide open parking so you can comfortable load & unload the tanks from the car. One time I had a problem with one of my tanks and he checked it out and fixed it for me very quickly. Last but not least the workers are all very friendly and welcoming.
