A good place to take a NBME exam. Staff were friendly and efficient. Place was clean. Testing room with quiet. Easily accessible by train (3-5 minute walk depending on which one you take). Really no complaints here. Actually like this one a bit more than the one in Manhattan- the testing room does not have windows... so you don't have to worry about the sun blinding you as you freak out about your test. read more

I thought I should add a review to the Brooklyn prometrics site 5204 (on Livingston street). I went there just yesterday for my Step 2 and found it easily from the R train. The testing center itself is on the 11th floor of this large building. The ladies running the site were polite and helpful. No one was nasty or unreasonable. They have a sitting area where you can eat and they have personal lockers to guard your things while you multiple choice yourself to death. Climate wise it was cool and I was thankful I had brought an extra layer/hoodie. The bathrooms are outside the main office and require codes but the codes are posted in 2 places and the ladies will also tell you. Overall, I would definitely use their site again. A far cry from my friend who took his test in manhattan with a raging runny nose only to be refused tissues during the exam. read more

I must say that this is prometric review vs other prometric reviews. Specifically the 43rd st and 2nd ave one my only comparison. exam rooms at the brooklyn room is smaller than the Manhattan center, that means that there is less movement in and around the room. There are also less people taking exams in brooklyn, less schools, less people etc, so you notice the employees are a little nicer, but not by much. Zippered Sweaters, if you are cold and have a sweater, they take it away, and give you some ratty tatty sweater of theirs. GROSS! So, keep that in mind. Pockets: think ahead, wear sweats with no pockets. save time. Food: AWFUL, if you have a break, there is almost nothing good to eat that is somewhat healthy. Bring a snack. Manhattan has a few more options here. However, about two blocks away: subway and dunkin donuts are close. Bathrooms: decent, require a key code. Morning entrance: Go early, lots of people as the building next door is the jury duty building so parking lots, last minute things are busy etc. There is a manned bike Parking location across the street that is 1.00 dollar for the whole day. Very convenient if you're coming from LIU or Brooklyn Hospital. It seems fairly nondescript as far as testing centers go.

Its a great test center! I took USMLE step 3 here, thats 2 days 8 hours each day. The staff is very polite n methodical. They totally undestand you are anxious coz of the test and add no extra stress from their side. A few of them were even concerned and kept checking with us how the test was. The area itself is very spacious n clean. They have ample space to fit in atleast 20-30 candidates in one day. There is a seating area outside where you can eat your lunch. Overall, a great experience! Highly recommend this test center. read more

The test center closed and canceled my test the day before I was scheduled to take it. They provided no reason. (Coincidence that it's closed the day after the Super Bowl?) Because I had less than 24 hours notice, I could not reschedule my test for my original day and now have to test on a Saturday. I had scheduled this test over a month in advance and taken a day off of work. Additionally, I may be unable to submit my scores by the deadline. read more

Took the MCAT here. Very professional setting but not as overwhelming as I imagine it would have been in midtown. You can keep snacks in the lockers. Shake Shack and many other delicious post-exam options nearby! read more

People that work here are very nice even though they need to speak up a bit when directing you on what to do. My main reason for giving only 1 star: This Prometric Testing Center sits directly below air vents used for this entire high rise building. The loud noise from the air vents caused interference throughout my entire 4 hour test taking experience which disrupted and distracted my focus and ability to attend. The air vents were extremely loud when they would turn on and run. The air vents would turn on and off and run every other minute with no respite from this terrible extraneous noise during the exam.The Prometric Testing Center employees informed me that numerous other test takers have complained about this constant loud noise interruption and employees mentioned it is disruptive for them. The noise cancelling headsets that were provided were not enough to block out this extraneous noise that was completely disruptive which would cause most test takers to have a decreased ability to focus on their exams at this particular Prometric Testing Center. I cannot believe that a Prometric Testing Center is allowed to operate under these such conditions. And then when you complain to your supposedly client-centered professional credentialing review board you get this canned response: While unfortunate, it is impossible to soundproof the testing rooms. Earphones are provided, and candidates may wear earplugs. Extraneous sounds may be heard at times in the testing room due to general societal sounds from inside or outside the building. These are environmental sounds which neither Prometric nor ***** has any control. read more

I would rate this as an excellent testing experience. I took COMLEX-USA Level-1 at this site, It was not crowded, the staff was nice, and it was quiet and peaceful. My only gripe was that I was not allowed to eat my lunch in the waiting area, so I went and ate in from of the building at the seating area outside. I would definitely recommend this site, I will be taking USMLE Step-1 there in two weeks. read more

the people who work here are nice but i had the worst prometric experience ever a kid sat next to me during my 7 hour exam, and was shaking his desk (subsequently shaking mine), making noises and twirling in his chair. he was taking the scat exam? I was rushing for time and it was incredibly distracting, i couldn't even finish the easier portion of my exam on time (i had to quickly guess through it because i was so distracted). it took a long time for the staff to take him out of the room. i know i could've done better if it weren't for such absurd testing conditions. its not fair because you can't recover lost points on something like. especially if its a one-time exam. read more

I went to give my 5hours long licensing exam at this test centre. Earlier I gave my same exam at 43rd street NY centre 4months ago. I would say there is tremendous difference between two centres. I had a scheduled appointment at 8am, I reached at Subway station jay street- metrotech 7.40am. However, it took me 15 minutes locating there building. Such a bad location I would say. My tmobilr GPS was also not able to detect and there was no board or indication of building outside. When I reached, I found this place n ambience less Waow then 43rd street test centre. plus restroom is far away from test centre, my exam had unsceduled break so going to restroom seems such a time consuming. Where as centre at 43rd street I found it better in terms of location you can find it 3street walkaway from grand central station and better ambience to give exam plus restroom is just outside the front desk of office. read more

Employees were ok. They were a little chit chatty during the exam and you could hear them faintly, but not too distracting. I took a break pretty much every block, so I had to do the check in and out thing 7 times, but they didn't get annoyed. One of the times I used the bathroom is was kind of gross, but the next time I went to use it, it had been cleaned up. Kind of annoying that they expect you to eat and drink in the hallway. Part of the exam was cold, bring a sweater. If I'm still in the area I'll probably be back for step 2. read more
