Very clean and organized testing center. I took my GRE here and it was rlly simple to book online. There are a lot of available time frames for this location. They gave a locker for me to put my personal storage items. Some of the staff were really kind to me and gave clear instructions, which I rlly appreciated. I highly recommend this testing site. The testing site called me 2 days before my exam to inform me what to bring like ID and water. The staff are friendly here and made sure everyone social distance themsleves. After each individual signed/ checked in, the staff would wipe everything down and made sure everything was clean for the next individual. The testing room is quiet and had noise cancelling walls. I was seated near the door and wanted a different seat. But, I was told that seats are random and chosen for the test taker. I took my exam on a weekday at 8am. And the testing center wasn't crowded in the morning. But, it started to get crowded mid-morning for the next testing slot. read more

this is a clean, modern testing facility. the computer-aided examination room is small (maybe 20 desks in total?) but there are modern computers and ample desk space. they'll also provide you with pencils and scratch paper. get there early before your test. claim a locker. go through the security protocol (which you will have to go through every time you want a break for the bathroom or water). don't bring more than you need to. yes, all personal items have to be stored in a locker - and it's a refreshing change of pace to NOT have your phone on you. here's the part of the show where I kvetch: - it was pretty damn frigid in the testing room. yo, it's the middle of winter, there was a snowstorm today - that's unnecessary. - staff walking around the room while people are taking a test can be a bit distracting. read more

The center is nice and clean, but remember to bring a hoodie or sweater as is cold, and they won't let you going inside with a jacket. This review is for wonderful lady who works there her name is Samari , I went there for a exam and didn't know i can't wear my jacket in, the exam room has Heavy AC on, I know if i went inside with what i was wearing I would catch the cold , but was too late for me to run home get a hoodie or sweater, so Samari offer to lend me her sweater , It saved me getting sick , and room was cold, even with her sweater i still feel cod, but i helped a lot, so Thank you Samari! she didn't have to do that, I am really appreciated a stranger would offer me a sweater keep me from getting sick, this is the moment where i felt world is a lovely place :) . Wish I had read these reviews before I picked this location. Yelp never fails! It was my third time taking a test at a Prometric Center (1st time in Philadelphia, 2nd in Brooklyn-Livingston St; both are great). I'm glad this was my last time taking tests at Prometric for good because I couldn't imagine having to be talked down to like some bastard child on the street when checking in for a test. It took every ounce of sanity in me not to knock the lights out of the condescending, fat ass who checked me in and continued to bother me throughout the test. You aren't greeted like a human, even if you show up early for your test. I told the secretary (or whatever his title is) I'm here for a test, and the first thing out of his mouth is "are you a citizen?" No hello, how may I help you. Just "are you a citizen?" This misanthrope then goes on this long rehearsed spiel about putting everything in my locker, spitting out my gum, turning off my phone, etc., as if I'm some criminal being checked in to a court hearing. He wouldn't even tell me the code for the bathroom! He just pointed to it on a piece of paper. Pathetic! One upside is the woman, Ana, who takes your photo and signs you in. She's a doll! A mensch! I have no idea how she works with such a bastard. The icing on the cake came while I was taking the test. Mr. Fat-ass-wannabe-prometric-rent-a-cop decides he wants to get off of his oversized bum and walk around the testing room (common practice btw). He purposely singles me out and interrupts me during my test and tells me to put my shoe back on. WTF!?! I wanted pow! I mean come on! I just walked 6 blocks from the train and wanted to relax. Why in the hell are you obsessed with me and looking at me feet? I know I'm attractive, but yikes dude! Cliffs notes: DO NOT go to this location! DO NOT go to this location! Prometric Test Center is very dehumanizing. I know that the staff has a routine, boring job but there's no need to treat test takers as prisoners. Be prepared to be treated with as little dignity as possible. Arrive 45 minutes early. They make you lock everything up - including water and snacks to get you through the 5 hour long test. The locker key and an ID are the only ones they let you take into the exam. Make sure it's a very legitimate ID. They won't accept the ID form that even the airport officers do. For real. Then, you get scanned and searched like a criminal before you are let into the exam. Since I was taking the GRE, there was a 10 minute break. I had to sign in and out to just get a glass of water or use the bathroom. They also made me fill out some form during the ten minute break. What a way to take a break! The worst part was when I was taking my test, the same proctor came up to me and told me to sit in a particular way. I can't take my coat off once I put it on during the exam. If I get too warm and want to take it off, I have to sign out and go put it in the locker. The Test Center is simply far too anal about everything. I grew up in Burma/Myanmar and have been through some pretty oppressive test centers but nothing came close to anywhere near this one. read more

Honestly this was by far the best prometric center that I've been to so far. The staff was friendly and respectful and I never had to wait for more than a few seconds when coming back and forth from breaks. The bathroom also had plenty of stalls and there is a nice, well maintained break area with a water dispenser and lockers. I'm not sure what all the negative reviews here are for. Sure, it sucks to be fingerprinted and wandeded all day, but that's not their fault. The staff are just doing their job, and the exams we are taking require crazy security because people cheat. In short, if you hate the one penn plaza site as much as I do, give this one a try. read more

I really love nearby Prometric center . It is easy to book an appointment online and take an exam. I have taken numerous exams here such as the GREs and a PTA board exam in the past. They have lockers here to leave your stuff. The process is quick when you enter and be prepared to get fingerprinted (no joke). Come into the back after and knock out your exam in the comfy computer chairs and pleasantly cooled rooms. No cheating allowed people!!! Sign in and out when you come out for a break . I have taken two tests here. They definitely ain't the best (for IT certs try Ace Computer Center in Forest Hills). Parking is awful. They never answer the phone. If you show up even 1 minute late, they will not let you take the test. They REALLY do not trust anybody. The best you can say about this place is that they have a nice view of Queens from the top of the building. The staff is not unfriendly, but they are not friendly either. You are just another test to them. If you have to take a proctored test in Queens, choose somewhere else if you can. Unfortunately, they are the only place you can take some tests. read more

I took an exam at this location on 3/24/14. It was the most convenient location for me, so despite the dreadful reviews on here I went for it. I don't know if the personnel has switched around, but everyone I encountered there was really nice. Ana, the proctor that day, was really sweet. And in general I found the people who worked there to be normal smile-at-me-and-I'll-smile-at-you type of people. No over-zealous rent-a-cops. Just standard strict protocol to protect you as much as to protect them from even a chance to be accused of cheating. So, yes, it's inconvenient that you have to lock everything up, including your watch and water. But they have a water cooler in the reception area, and I'm assuming your time remaining will show on screen as it did for me. Just be prepared to turn your pockets inside out, push up your sleeves, pull up your pant legs, and be searched with a quick wave of a metal detector. Nothing intrusive, they are just required to make sure you aren't hiding anything and don't have notes scrawled on your arms or legs. In my opinion, no big deal and I appreciate their thoroughness. read more

This is a test center that must adhere to strict guidelines to prevent cheating. All these reviews about lockers and other restrictions miss the point that it's not the center's fault. These hard-working, courteous individuals are just doing their jobs in a difficult environment. I took my GREs here and I was impressed with the cleanliness of the facility and the professionalism and kindness of the test administrators. It's not easy to have to repeat yourself multiple times multiple days, but they do so with genuine care for their testers. read more
