Came here for tests on a Saturday 3/25 and the rest of the staff didn't show up. We were made to wait an hour to make sure the employe didn't actually show up and the had to reschedule the tests we were supposed to take. Major inconvenience for the 20 people that showed up. Don't bother coming here, go to the Towson location. read more

One of the worst experiences of my life. Prior to taking a test and already being nervous, the rudeness and lack of personality of the "young black woman" and the "Indian man", was a damper on my testing experience. They were certainly made for each other. People really should not deal with the public, if they do not like people and cannot be respectful and courteous and encouraging. I was chastised for being 15 minutes late. I had been sitting in my car the entire time and walked in 20 minutes prior to my test, No one told me when to get there and then he told me that he told me that the prior day on the phone. I took my MCAT here last month and cannot fault Prometric Testing Center for any of my stresses at all. I'm not totally sure how to review a place where I am not fed (sigh) so here is just a quick rundown: - Easy to find - Clean facility - Competent staff - Ample locker space - Coat hangers - Water cooler - Comfortable seating - Didn't love the noise-cancelling headphones If I wasn't taking a ridiculously stressful exam, I would've really enjoyed myself here! read more

Facility itself: just fine. Climate controlled. Easy to find. Parking is easy, too. Clean. Secured locker feature. Computers: my key board did not work when starting the GRE. I raised my hand and the proctor quickly assisted me in restarting my computer. They offer sound proof headphones. Staff: rude. Prior to taking my test, I was asked to write down a privacy statement. No problem. I went to go out my stuff burdening my hands in the locker and the women tapped on the paper and said "I told you to write the statement." Perhaps next time I'll drop my things directly in the middle of the lobby floor as to not inconvenience her. After completion of my test, I asked if she could give me my ETS registration number (this is a 7 digit code). While she could not provide me with this code (to which I understand, I'll look it up later), you would have thought I asked for her the world. Her eye roll was practically audible and the way she shrugged her shoulders was unprofessional. I'm not expecting hand and foot service- after all testing centers are by nature dry and neutral. But a simple, "I don't have that information. Have you tried the website?" would have sufficed. I expected more from an accredited testing center. I'll let my fellow student know what to expect should they choose this place for their 4-5 hour exams. read more

They have a tough job and did it well. Not perfect but well. They should post a few U tube videos of what to expect when going there. It's complicated and some of the staff don't even know themselves. I would go back there for my next test. read more

First time using this test center. I am a parent with a daughter taking the SCAT test. The front desk manager was awful. He is a poor communicator with awful people skills. Upon arrival, I asked him questions concerning the test-taking process. He dismissed me as if I wasn't there and when he did acknowledge me, his attitude was condescending. When he offered us instruction, I could not understand him. Not sure if it was his accent or the way he phrased his sentences. I asked him if I could go to my car. He said yes, then berated me when I returned saying you need to be here. You were at your car too long. The car was parked directly outside the office window. He could see me taking a work conference call. He told me, "Go to your car once, get everything you need and come back here!" "Too long! I can invalidate your child's score." I was so livid with his demeanor (unfriendly, unhelpful, even adversarial) that it overshadowed the importance that my daughter was taking a test. What is most surprising is that if he had been clear about the procedures of parental chaperoning at the center, this would have all been a non factor. Owners of Prometric, i don't think you want unfriendly, unhelpful, adversarial as the face of your company! Please strongly consider replacing him. read more

After taking exams in other prometric sites around the DMV this by far was the most quiet of all the centers if tested in. (The test center in dc is a bit noisy, you can hear cars honking and police sirens outside. Or like in other centers where the proctors are loud when they open and close the doors when they walk around the room to make sure no one is cheating.) The staff here are very quiet when they go about their business knowing people are testing. Check in and security process was the same. They have lockers for your things. The bathroom is in the lobby of the test center not like other test centers where the bathroom is outside of the suite. This is significant if you are on a timed break. Every minute counts. There is ample amount of parking spots and its free parking so thats good. Overall experience was good. The ladies were professional and they called a day before to remind me of my appointment. Best part is i passed so i hope you have the same luck as I did at this test center. read more

I'm gonna start at I'm terrible at testing. So I went into this nervous as all get out. The front receptionist was not very good at communicating. But the check in lady picked up the slack. The environment s comfortable. And the computers were ok. I didn't have any problems. I did sit in the waiting room a few times because the receptionist wasn't clear on what I need to do. read more

I took a 5 hour test here during Covid and I felt very safe. They took every precaution to ensure my safety and the employees were very kind and respectful to me. read more

I am writing this new review specifically about new management that took over here at this location. I asked a female manager, I believe to be from India although I am not certain, what is the latest time I could arrive before I would disqualified from taking the test. Her Response "you have to arrive 30 minutes early" and then I say "Yes I know that but what time is the latest I can arrive?" and her response again " The email you receive should say we want you to arrive 30 minutes early" then I said "Ok I got the time you want us to be here but what is the latest time before we cannot enter the test" and she said "I don't know" I confirmed this at another prometric it is 30 minutes. She clearly tried to duck the question. If I ever see her again I will tell her "Hey, I will make sure that I come at the last second, and you will like it, do you understand me?" Still in shock she tried to keep that info on the low just because she is pressed to have me come early. She and her crew get the 1 star all day for the disobedience. read more

"You should really keep better care of your belongings!"........ A nice facility besides the extremely rude staff. This is my second time testing at this center and neither times have I been pleased with my service here. The woman at the front desk is never actually at the desk. You come in to no greeting. She is either in the other room helping someone or eating in the closet. Anything you ask her seems to be an inconvenience. This time I came in and no one was in the room so I put my things in a locker and waited for her to meet me. She finally came and didn't know if I had even been signed in. She also forgot to give me the key to my locker. After testing I asked her if she had the key and she started rummaging around trying to find it. Then she says to me, "You should really keep better care of your belongings". Not at all pleased with my treatment and dreading returning for another exam tomorrow. If you can, I recommend going to another facility. Nothing professional about the staff here. read more

I've taken multiple exams at this testing center and have had wonderful experiences the first two times (which is why they even get two stars). The most recent time, however, I had a particularly mean middle-aged female proctor who gave test-takers an unnecessarily hard time, which really ruins your sense of composure on test day. I really wish I knew her name - she worked on the morning of 12/23/2015 and had a strong accent. She worked in the back room, and was in charge of finger-printing / signing test-takers in and out of the area. I had arrived on time to the testing center, but did not get registered until 40 minutes after my arrival. I was fine with this, since there were some other people that had arrived before me and I just assumed that it took some time to get them set up. When I was finally called in, this particular lady yelled at me for being late (though I was not). The fingerprint-er was not working, yet she made me try again and again and again. We had to sign in and out of the testing center each and every time, and she scrutinized my every loop in my signature to match it with the signature on my license exactly every time. When a loop was off, she would make me cross out the signature that I had just used, and re-sign -- this happened multiple times. The exam that I took was a 9 hour exam, with only 45 minutes of break time that we were allowed to allocate the way we want. Break allocation is very important, as you can imagine, since a 9 hour exam is exhausting both physically and mentally. I had planned 5 minutes of break between my 1st and 2nd section, but because of this lady's particularities, it took me 10 minutes to get in and out of the exam room -- thus making me lose one of my breaks unnecessarily. In addition, the fact that I was yelled at and the fact that I lost one of my breaks made me feel unnecessary panic, so that I was unable to fully focus on the second section of my exam. I was not given special mean treatment, as I saw her being rude to other test-takers in the area as well. I was just very disappointed that she did not know how to act towards test-takers, who are already in a particularly vulnerable and stressed position. The other proctors were very nice. I was relieved when her shift was finished (which was 4 hours into my exam), as I encountered much nicer people after her. Otherwise, it was relatively quiet, there were lockers with locks provided, hangers, well-controlled temperature, comfortable seating, headphones and noise-cancelling headphones provided, clean bathrooms. Very nice location and resources provided. So unfortunate that one particular staff member was so poorly trained. read more

My visit was going well for my 4 hour exam until my last 30 minutes when a woman behind me began to cheer about passing her exam and the proctor was in the room and did not requesr she quiet down. In fact, when the woman was asking if the pass shown on her computer screen could be later changed to a fail the proctor engaged in the conversation while several of us were still doing our exams. I had to ask them both to take their conversation outside. read more

I was pleased with the atmosphere and staff. A member of the staff called the day before and answered my questions. I arrived about 40 minutes early to take my test; after reviewing the guidelines I was in taking my test about 20 minutes early. The staff was friendly and professional. The facility was quiet; procedures for entering and exiting were smooth. If I need to take another exam in the future, I would definitely return! read more

I had a terrible experience at the Columbia MD Prometric testing center Feb 2016. If you are sensitive to noise, I urge you to find another testing center to take your exam! The noise level was out of control when I was taking my test, causing me to lose focus multiple times and waste valuable testing time. The employees would open and shut the testing room door loudly with no regard for the testers. They were also talking to other testers very loudly right outside the testing room. They were so loud that I could actually hear their conversations and the earplugs didn't block all of the noise out. I even noticed that when the employee walked me into the testing room for my exam, she left the testing room door wide open behind her. I felt bad for the other testers, so I quietly shut it so the outside noise wouldn't distract them. Also, after I took a break to use the bathroom, the employee forgot to have me sign the sign in sheet before I returned to the testing room. This resulted in her interrupting me during my testing time to sign in (after I was already in the testing room), causing me to lose focus and waste testing time. I couldn't believe it. I have a friend who took an exam at this testing center months before me who had a similar experience. She said it was the worst Prometric testing center she has even been to. I have taken exams at two other Prometric locations and they were great! I think this is just a bad location due to the employees and size of the facility (very small and overcrowded). Luckily, I passed my exam, but I am still very irritated with the situation. I sent a complaint to Prometric and received a generic email response, telling me how I can schedule another test. They didn't say anything about looking into or fixing the issues at that testing center. I just want to help people out who are testing there in the future. I am very disappointed with this Prometric testing center. I expected much better testing conditions for a $500 exam. read more

Very poor customer service. I was told that pre-test site visits are strongly recommended to get comfortable with the location and rules. When I came to the center, the help desk associate (Charnel) was very irritated by my simple questions (like - "if it is OK to bring the water bottle" and "what is the good time for the check-in"). I let her know that if she is busy or this is not a good time to talk I can wait. Instead, she told me to leave the center. She also said that she will be calling -911- if I don't leave it right away. I was shocked. I will be going there tomorrow again. Hopefully I will be able to talk to the manager this time. read more

Last month did my CE Finra from the Columbia location was a great place to take your test. Staff was ver helpfull and professional was able to accommodate for earlier slot. The center is very neat & clean with amble of parking and easy to lacate. read more
