In healthcare, we are taught high-skill concepts with fear and anxiety. Not at CPR World. They take the fear and anxiety out and with that you can actually learn the concepts. Just such a great experience. I could take this class for free at work, but I'd rather pay to come here since you actually understand the material. This is my 7th time at CPR World. I've only ever been taught by Suzanne (who is awesome) but this time I had Frank. Education is this guy's true calling. So positive, so upbeat, so encouraging. I actually had a great time.

The program has truly been a second home to our entire family. Alicia DiDuca is the heart and soul of the program, who, along with Mrs. Joanne and Ms. Marisa, made it an incredible success. The per-school program is structured with routine activities, but at the same time allows the children to explore, and venture out, thereby developing their sensory, auditory and visual senses. The children are physically active every day outdoors. They also participate in Happy Feet soccer pre-school program and are frequently visited by a variety of children's musical acts. The two most important factors I was seeking in a childcare/preschool environment for my toddler were 1. a place that she was excited to return to each day, and 2. a director who had excellent communication skills and knew what they were doing. I found that DCLC exceeded all of my expectations and at the most reasonable price in the area. We could tell from day one that DCLC was a special place as they took extra steps to ensure a smooth transition during our first week. Alicia (the owner/director) and her staff are some of the most clean/organized, kindhearted, intelligent people I've ever met. My daughter learned, among other things; manners, her body parts, counting, the alphabet, sharing, painting/coloring, and hit so many other wonderful milestones during her time there - things that I was too exhausted to teach her at the end of a work day. In addition to everything they taught my daughter, they were also incredibly helpful to me as a parent when I'd inquire about local weekend activities, toddler sleeping habits, how to enforce good behavior at home, food questions, etc. I felt 100% comfortable and confident with them as my main resource for general parenting questions because they were up-to-date on the newest educational/behavioral training and had many years of experience. During the first of this winter's blizzards when DCLC (which follows Newton Public School closings) was closed, Alicia sent out an email that morning to all parents with several ideas for indoor activities that we could do with our kids - it was so thoughtful and helpful, and I remember thinking to myself "wow, she really truly cares about me as a parent and my daughter as her student, and wants us all to have an easy fun day today." There was zero staff turnover during our time there, DCLC follows very clear and simple policies standard for most local daycares/preschools, and we found the other families to be as equally pleased as we were. The care, attention, and curriculum that we found with DCLC is unmatched by local daycare centers, or any other in-home daycare programs we could find in the area. The experience we had was top-notch and really hard to find elsewhere, and, having recently moved away, we miss DCLC very very much.

Enrollment process was terrible. People from the Brookline location kept directing me to an online…read moreregistration form that wasn't working. When I told them, they recommended I call headquarters, which I did. I spoke to one person initially, who told me my registration was all set and processed. When I called headquarters again after a week because I did not receive a confirmation, I spoke with another person who said nothing was processed and that I owe $150 for the registration fee. This is specifically after the first person told me I do not need to pay the fee on account of where I worked. So I chose to no longer complete my registration. Fast forward two weeks, I receive an email out of the blue from someone from Bright Horizons to register online, with a note that the fee can be waived depending on where I work. This time, the form is working. I went through the registration process and at the end, it said I did not owe any money. After I set up my account, however, I saw a $150 charge that was created on the date I spoke with the second person from headquarters. I reached back out to the person who emailed me, who recommended I call headquarters... The disorganized nature of this entire process, which has dragged on for more than a month, makes me hesitant to trust them with the care of my future child.

Mathnasium conducted an initial assessment to help identify gaps in her understanding, and then developed a customized curriculum to fill in the gaps in her knowledge. Ryan and his team have been patient, kind, flexible and extremely competent at helping her not only understand the material but build confidence and even enjoyment around the subject matter. Our daughter has improved dramatically in her focus, stamina, comprehension and attitude toward math. We are so thankful to have found this wonderful resource in our community which took the struggles out of math homework time at our house, for good. We were referred by a friend whose children attend the Norwood location, and they received a $25 referral bonus which was a nice perk. From the very first visit, we felt welcomed. We stopped in for information the end of February, Eric greeted us, gave us a full tour of the facility, and took the time to answer all of our questions. One of the biggest highlights for us is that the pool area is fully enclosed and heated, and parents don't need to get into the water. There's also plenty of seating behind clear glass, so you can comfortably watch your child during lessons. Based on our daughter's age and experience, Eric initially suggested Level 3. We weren't completely sure, so he offered a first-class evaluation before committing, which we really appreciated. They were able to schedule that for the very next day. When we arrived for the evaluation, we were checked in by Max at the front desk, who immediately made us feel comfortable offering us coffee or water while we waited. Right on time at 3:40 PM, they called our daughter in and introduced us to Nevaeh, one of their newer certified instructors. The class ran just under 30 minutes, which felt like the perfect amount of time to evaluate how our daughter would respond. Nevaeh was kind, patient, and encouraging, and our daughter took to her right away. After the session, we felt confident moving forward and signed her up for two classes per week for the month of March. Max helped us set up a consistent schedule for March and explained how easy it is to cancel or reschedule classes, as well as how to track progress through the Aqua-Tots app. They have plenty of swim gear for sale at a reasonable price if you need anything last minute. On her first official day, our daughter even received a welcome beach bag with a T-shirt, coloring book, and rubber ducky, such a thoughtful touch. Since then, we've continued scheduling with Nevaeh whenever possible, as she's become our daughter's favorite instructor. We've also had the chance to meet Sophia and Gina, who have both been wonderful. It's been great to see steady progress with each class. We also met the owner, Tyler, who took the time to check in with us, answer any remaining questions, and make sure we felt confident in our decision. Overall, the entire team: Max, Nevaeh, Sophia, Gina, Eric, and Tyler has been fantastic. The environment is welcoming, organized, and clearly focused on helping kids build confidence and skills in the water.
