I move to a different state every three years so I've been to several OB/GYN's over the years, and…read moreDr. Smale is by far the best. She's been my doctor for 3 years. She's so friendly, upbeat, and her demeanor always puts me at ease. As with most OB/GYN's, it's always evident that she's in a hurry but she has always taken time to answer any questions I have. Her new nurse is also very friendly but the lady at the front desk should learn to be more welcoming and kind. I always schedule my appointment to be the very first patient after Dr. Smale's lunch break and have never had to wait more than 5 minutes. Also, I like that when you call the office a person always answers instead of those stupid recorded messages that most doctors have. It has always taken over 2 months to get in to see Dr. Smale so call ahead of time to make an appointment.

I have been to many gynecologists over the years due to needing different types of expertise. I…read morehave been with Dr. Smale for several years and she is one of the best for several reasons: 1. I feel comfortable when I have to ask uncomfortable questions. 2. I don't feel rushed. 3. She seems educated and competent in the latest in healthcare. 4. She is typically on time (never had to wait longer than 15 minutes). 5. Her staff have been congenial and accommodating. 6. She has a great personality. 7. I have referred several friends to her and they have been satisfied as well.

If any review deserves 5+++++ stars...this office is it. Let me set the stage…read more.. I had just moved back to Michigan from NYC after 2+ years of being away. Pretty crazy and stressful to be moving back to the D during the winter. Oh wait...did I mention that I was 32 weeks pregnant and had to find a new Dr in my third trimester? Not stressful at all (please note the hint of sarcasm). I was seriously stressing out! Finding a new Dr is hard enough...but finding a Dr that you like to deliver your first child...well, thats just next to impossible...or so I thought! Enter Dr. Burton Brodsky. I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Brodsky. The minute he walked in the room he immediately made my husband and I feel comfortable. He took his time to sit down and talk to us (instead of just rushing us out the door) and answered all of the questions we had to ask. My delivery was as close to perfect as one could be and I totally owe that to Dr. Brodsky. He is seriously the best Dr. that I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. I feel so lucky that I was referred to his office. As a side note....they have TV's in every exam room...so while you are waiting you can check out whats happening on Regis & Kelly...BUT make sure to time your appointments right...if you LOATHE Rachel Ray (like me) you don't want to get stuck listening to her annoying voice while you are chillin' in an exam gown. My only issue is that their waiting room is a little hectic. It is shared with the general practitioner and pediatric office and therefore is sometimes very full and loud. I think they are remodeling so this may be alleviated soon. If you are looking for an OB/GYN in Oakland County here is your answer. I don't think you could find anyone better than Dr. Brodsky. Makes me want to have another baby already...thats how much I love this office!!

I think 5 stars for this office is not enough! They would get 100's if I could!…read more Dr. Brodsky is a very kind and compassionate physician that has a phenomenal bedside manner His confidence and knowledge definitely puts him in a league of his own. He is very down to earth and does not have the "God" complex that is seen in so many physicians. I have referred several friends to him and all of them say the same thing. His office staff is by far the best group of ladies I have ever met. They are understanding and compassionate. I have been seeing Dr. Brodsky for about 7 years now and have to say there is no other physician I would see. He has helped me make a very important decision and I am so glad he was the surgeon.

I am beyond upset. I have been a patient for years and have received excellent care, up until I…read morestarted MediCare. I understand that as a MediCare recipient, I am only entitled to one pap test every other year. I had made an appointment with Dr.Judis for my test, all the time thinking it would be paid for by MediCare. Due to the incorrect coding done by Dr.Judis, I got tagged with paying $209.00 for services. He had coded it as a "wellness"visit, thus throwing the responsibility of payment back on me. Following asking for recoding for the proper service, and being refused twice, I ended up paying out of pocket instead of being covered by MediCare. I'm sorry to report I will not be going back. Dr. Judis had made me aware to remind him that my insurance had changed to MediCare when I came in, so the visit could be coded correctly. He even said to remind him that I have a pre-existing condition, osteoporosis, and that he could provide me with yearly exams, and MediCare would cover that as well. I really feel betrayed by the provider himself AND ProMedica. I (and my representative from MediCare and my secondary) was treated like a criminal asking to illegally change coding on a service that was provided. I AM NOT A CRIMINAL nor were we asking for anything to be done illegally. Just nasty, nasty people to work with. I have worked out a payment plan and feel as if ProMedica needs my $209.00 so much more than me, according to recent newspaper articles. I am sadden by all of this. All I can say is BEWARE.

Pro: He's a nice doctor....good bedside manner. The rest of the staff are pleasant as well…read more Con: He did a complete hysterectomy on me (Da Vinci method), and I have been having problems ever since.

Very dismissive. 1st of all I mentioned to her several times I believed I was leaking amniotic…read morefluid and she said I wouldn't be leaking that early. She said it was probably discharge. I didn't feel right about it so I went to St Anne's hospital. They called her and she told them send me home because I wouldn't be leaking this early. Long story short I WAS in fact leaking fluid. She never even bothered to listen about that until it was too late. 2 she had me wait 20 weeks to do my 1st ultrasound. My baby's results came back bad and she waited a WHOLE WEEK until my scheduled appointment to tell me because and I quote I was "damned if I do damned if I don't" 3 she never bothered to help me to try to keep baby alive for her it was just a waiting game for when my baby would die infact she told me she was interested in having an autopsy done on my son WHILE HE WAS STILL ALIVE and 4 not only do they check your blood pressure in her office but she sent me to maternal fetal medicine specialist to verify my ultrasound results and they mentioned to me my blood pressure was very high and that they would report it to her I even mentioned headaches at my last visit .She never told me or did anything about this Infact she said I was perfectly capable of going back to work. 2 weeks later I go to the er and find out I have preeclampsia and my blood pressure was severely high. I ALMOST DIED. I am writing this in Toledo hospital right now and I have been here for 5 days so far because they won't let me go home with my blood pressure that high and also because my water is ruptured. Donna Jensen flat out idiot and I still believe to this day if I had not dealt with her my son would still be alive (YES I LOST MY UNBORN CHILD DEALING WITH HER BECAUSE SHE IGNORED ME WHEN I TOLD HER I WAS LEAKING FLUID AND SHE IGNORED ME ABOUT MY TERRIBLE HEADACHES WHICH TURNED OUT TO BE LIFE THREATENING PREECLAMPSIA) I HOPE THIS WOMAN ROTS IN HELL and i would not recommend you risk dealing with her if you are pregnant and care about your unborn child because she does NOT care PS: my son's cause of death: respiratory failure DUE TO LACK OF AMNIOTIC FLUID WHICH IS EXACTLY WHAT I TOLD HER I THOUGHT WAS HAPPENING BUT SHE IGNORED IT.

This doctor is, as far as I know, strictly an OB/GYN. Me and my expectant girlfriend made an…read moreappointment with her while she was about 2 months pregnant. The only reason we went to her was because she is the only OB in the Toledo area that we know of that will schedule an appointment while your insurance coverage is getting approved. We should have just waited. The waiting room is the size of a porta-potty, which is covered in awful anne geddes pictures with kids wearing lettuce hats. Stupid and horrible. But that point is not really relevent. Some people like Anne Geddes. We don't. The things you should know before going are 1.) The office is dimly lit and has a cold vibe to it. 2.) The staff is RUDE! DUring a time of exteme vulnerability in a womans life, you would expect to be comforted by the staff, not growled at by a frumpy nurses aide. 3.) Donna Jensen is RUDE herself. She interrupts and just generally puts you down. Because we asked questions, we were treated like we were stupid. We went to her for the initial appt. when you get the mothers full history. When we ended up switching to a much better doctor, the nurse at that office asked where the history was. She had written basically nothing down, so we had to start all over from appt. number 1, which would piss anyone off. The average time for the mothers history appt. we are told is supposed to take close to an hour, if not more. We were with Dr. Jensen for about 15 minutes or less. Also, we got basically yelled at for missing an appointment. The reason we did not come back was because our insurance was not current yet, so we did not want to waste our money on a 10 minute appointment with a woman who obviously has no concern for actual medical procedure, and no concern for her patients feelings. If you are a cold b@#$h that likes to be put down by your health practitioner, she might be the one for you, otherwise - look elsewhere.
