I highly recommend asking for Mary if you're new! She even took a video of us dancing so we can practice on our own time. David was awesome! David is super knowledgeable and willing to share with newbies like us. He laid the groundwork so we could grow in our experience! We can't wait to come back and learn all the dances!! Thank you for being so patient with me and my fiancé. We will look like pros on our wedding day! The entire staff was also gracious to allow us to move our appointment times to fit our schedule. Really impressed with their level of service. I highly recommend any bride to pick Arthur Murray before your big day :)

We did 6 lessons prior to our wedding and learned some of the basics of rumba and swing. After the wedding, we decided we wanted to continue and have been ever since. When you start out, you get a little bit of an intro to each of the dances and then narrow it down to your four favorites to move forward with. We chose rumba, tango, cha cha, and swing. Most do weekly lessons and then there are practice parties weekly to every other week where you can dance with other students in a social setting. After some time passes, you get to know a lot of the other students. The community is incredibly supportive and welcoming. Not long after beginning our post-wedding curriculum, we even performed a choreographed piece for the studio's showcase, which was incredibly fun. If you are looking into lessons, tell them Dane and Shayna sent you! You get a discount for your first two lessons and we get a free lesson.

My kid was the one whose nerves almost kept them from going on stage that first year and now, age 8, they are not only doing competition dance but also has the confidence and courage to be apart of a musical. It's truly incredible the work Miss Siri does to build up character and confidence in these dancers starting from a young age. On top of that, GLAD has become like a second family for my child. As someone who grew up in the dance world, I know how important these friendships are. I am so GLAD that we found this studio as I know my child is developing lifelong friendships. Also, it is so affordable!!! Miss Siri is not in it for the money, she does this work because she truly LOVES IT--and it shows.

We called up and made the appointment and went in with honestly low expectations. One of us is not a good dancer. At all. Really bad. Our instructor was Rebecca and we explained our experience levels and what we wanted to accomplish.By the end of the first lesson, we were calling Rebecca the miracle worker. She got me dancing. When we weren't getting the step, she changed the instructions and see if we got it a different way. It was perfect. By the end of the second lesson, we were feeling great about our first dance and wanted to do more. We bought another package of four lessons after that and went from a simple box step to a full-on routine..plus an entrance dance AND a polka dance. We were all set. Wonderful experience, friendly and worth the drive (we were coming from Northeast Minneapolis).

My (now) wife has a physical disability, and she was nervous about what dance lessons would look like - but the lessons ended up being her favorite part of wedding planning. Eli brought comfort and confidence to both of us, as well as humor and joy! We both truly enjoyed the experience, even though it was a bit out of our comfort zone. Our first dance went off seamlessly - we managed to remember all the steps and it was a hit! For anyone with physical limitations - please be aware that accessing the studio does involve a flight of stairs (there is a railing!). We have no doubt Eli would be willing to explore other options as necessary. Regardless, do not let any physical limitations deter you from taking lessons here!

She offered free group dance lessons to try to make amends. Like I said, the owners are very nice. I still wouldn't recommend this place to anyone I know who is getting married. However, because the owner tried I will give them an extra star. I just think that communication isn't a strong point at this venue.

The employees were pretty flexible, but the management/owners were not. I am not sure if it was a lack of communication, or just unwillingness to adjust, but we ran into a lot of roadblocks (I don't need to bore you with specifics). If you choose this space for your event, please make sure you have all of the details thoroughly thought through and confirmed before you go, otherwise you may end up with some unpleasant surprises. Also, DO NOT confuse this with the other Dancer's Studio on Yelp.
