I had a phenomenal experience with both the PMA Bootcamp in Brookline and with the instructor, Adrian Mendoza. Adrian is funny, engaging, and extremely knowledgeable about project management. He did a great job bringing the content to life by sharing examples from his own PM career and by teaching us helpful tips and strategies for remembering the terms. He clearly outlined content that we would most likely encounter on the exam and covered several test-taking strategies. PMA discourages you from missing class during the 4-day boot camp; however, I had a client meeting one morning that I felt I could not skip. As a result, I missed about an hour of class. I was most impressed when Adrian volunteered to come in early the next day (Yes, at 7am!) to re-teach the missed unit to me. He felt the content was critical for my success in passing the exam. He presented the entire missed unit to me just as he would have for the entire class - complete with diagrams, stories, and examples. Impressive! It's been 2 weeks since I took the boot camp and I'm busy reading through PMBOK. It's amazing how much more I understand and have LEARNED since I read this the first time (prior to the boot camp). I think Adrian's teaching style helped immensely in teaching me the concepts. PMA also does a great job of laying out the content in a way that's easier to understand and follow. My fellow classmates were great as well. PMA keeps the classes small. I think we had less than 15 people, and they provided all the necessary resources (PMBOK, binder, study guides, study aids). Their online resources are great as well. It's clear the company and instructors care for the students and are rooting for their success. The Brookline boot camp is held in the Marriott hotel. It's convenient to shops and restaurants, though the parking is a little pricey. They give a discount to training attendees so I think the total daily cost was about $15. Overall the entire experience has exceeded my expectation and I highly recommend. read more

Course Date: 1/22/24 - 1/25/24 Instructor: Michael Einstein The PM Academy course was excellent - Michael Einstein brought enthusiasm, engaging stories, and clearly communicated the material. Considering the material is fairly dry this is very impressive, especially over four full days. I appreciated that Michael genuinely wanted to hear from students' experience, but also kept the course moving to meet the schedules. Michael also steps you through the enormous amount of excellent resources offered to help you study and learn through PM Academy. These resources were very valuable in my preparation for the test, which I'm proud to say I passed with "Above Target" in all areas. PM Academy (and Michael) are constantly adjusting the course to best align with the actual PMP exam (which changed just a few years ago), so they are doing their research to give you the best outcome. The course, and the support team at Project Management Academy was really excellent as well, both before and after the class. They were very quick to respond and accommodating. Michael also followed up after the course to offer help and points out additional resources available through PM Academy. The room was perfect, and the location was great. I spent four years teaching a very similar course, and I thought this course was very well done. I also attended a top tier school, and Michael is one of the best instructors I have ever had. I took Gary Raubenheimer's virtual "PMP Boot Camp" in February 2018. Gary made it easy staying engaged during 9-hour day virtual class, answered all questions, provided creative explanations to difficult concepts, and offered post-course support which I gladly took advantage of! My application was audited which delayed the scheduling of my exam (it took me ~2 weeks to collect signatures and send my materials. PMI responded with my approval code 2 days of receiving my materials) and because of this, I was unable to take the version 5.0 exam that I had prepped for before the March 26th deadline. I reached out to PMA and within minutes received a response from Mitzi O'Brien telling me not to worry and that she had uploaded version 6.0 course materials onto my dashboard. In addition, she provided details on where to find the most helpful information on the differences between the 5.0 and 6.0 PMBOK. I passed my PMP 7 weeks after taking the boot camp and am grateful for Gary's guidance and the wonderful support from PMA. I highly recommend this course and organization! read more

Just took the PMP exam and passed it on the first attempt. Thanks to the A-grade in-class training, training materials and the fantabulous website. Many attempt and pass, so why rave about my case and PMA. Well I did my in-class training with PMA two years back. But could not give my exam in time and did go through training with another education provider again last year to remain eligible for the exam. And that's when I noticed the first difference - "Quality of education". But what blew my mind is the recent "SUPPORT and SERVICE" I received from PMA. After two years of completing the in-class training with PMA, I reached out to PMA and requested if I could get access to their practice test site. And guess what, they not only gave me access to the practice test site but also provided me with access to online training material to help me with my preparation "for FREE". Thank you, Bill Holmes and Project Management Academy (PMA,) for a great course (PMI-Risk Management Professional (PMI-RMP) - April 24th, 2020) and discussion on the topic of risk within project management. I passed the exam on my first attempt. The PMI-RMP Prep Course provided me with all the tools required to sit for the exam. This course will deep dive into the knowledge area of Risk Management, however, I recommend reading the PMBOK 6th Edition as a prerequisite, if you are certified on an earlier version of the PMBOK or have not reviewed the 6th edition in a while. As the PMI-RMP assumes you have this knowledge. Lastly, as with most prep services for Project Management Institute exams (excluding the PMP) mock exam questions/tests are scarce. PMA provides one mock exam for the RMP, however, I found this sufficient in terms of prep for the actual exam. In my opinion I would, not search for additional mock exams or test questions as this may frustate or confuse you during your study period. read more

I attended the PMP Project Management Academy Prep Course October 16-19th 2023 with Michael Einstein as my instructor, and passed my PMP exam on February 29th, 2024. Michael was a great instructor and I'm happy that he taught our course. He was extremely knowledgeable and did a great job at covering the large amount of material in the small amount of time given. His way of relating concepts and information to his own personal and professional experiences made it easier for me to understand and digest the course material. I also appreciated how he continued to provide support after the course was over, ensuring that we knew how to make the most of the online prep materials, and periodically checking in to see if any had questions or needed additional help. The Project Management Academy, and specifically my instructor, Scott Fass, was the key reason I successfully completed and passed the PMP exam at the first attempt. His expertise is in presenting the content - and there's a lot of it - in an accessible way that makes passing the exam seem possible, and makes the skills that we cover along the way immediately useful in the real world. I left the room each day with ideas and examples of how to apply the skills, and these were not obvious to me from reading the PMBOK alone. While studying I was already practicing these with my team, and the online study materials really helped me consolidate my knowledge and discover and close the gaps in my understanding. I attended a PMA boot camp taught by Jim Stewart in late January 2015. Jim is an excellent teacher and extremely well verse in all things project management. The boot camp is intense - there is just no way around that due to the amount of material to convey. Going into the boot camp you need to understand the purpose it to teach you how to study for the exam. Then it is up to you to take all that material and determine and execute your study plan as recommended by Jim. Although I did not know it at the time Jim gives you everything you need to pass the exam including insight and humor as a bonus. He knows the material and strategies to pass the test inside & out. The material supplied by PMA is very compressive. If you read this far you deserve the punch line - I passed and that is all you want. Trust me by the time you take the test you do not want to think about failing and taking it again. Highly recommend PMA for test prep!! read more

Instructor Ben Rebeskee and Project Management Academy were part of the reasons I passed my PMP on my first attempt! I took the PMP boot camp with instructor Ben Rebeske and I passed the exam in three weeks. The training materials were comprehensive and the instructor Ben was an amazing teacher that made the training so fun and easy! Ben was very knowledgable, full of energy and skillful in teaching! He was able to explain complicated questions in a simple way that could be easily understood. I could remember most of the stuff that he taught in the class and didn't need to review much of the training material after the class and before my exam. He encouraged class interation and gave me few pointers for my exam preparation based on my mocked exam result. I attended the PMP course taught by instructor Karl Cheney in Boston MA from 18-21 December 2017. Looking back, I can't imagine having done this any other way or through a different provider....you really do get what you pay for. Karl was a great instructor who had exceptional command of the material, topnotch presentation skills, relevant real-world examples to apply to the concepts, and a healthy sense of humor that aided in creating a relaxed classroom environment. As the PMBOK is very thick and heady, I was looking for a prep course that would drill down into each concept and identify where the knowledge I bring from my workplace was lacking. I took the PMP Project Management Academy Prep Course (Nov 13 - 16 2023) with Michael Einstein and passed the PMP exam on my first attempt at the end of January. Michael was a great instructor, and really did a good job of covering the large amount of material effectively. He providing real life examples that helped make the material click, as well as provided easy ways to remember core information. He was knowledgeable in answering any questions that came up from the students as well. The PMA study materials were very helpful in preparing for the exam as well. After class, I watched the videos that were available, as well as took numerous quizzes and tests that were prepared by PMA to get in the PMI mindset. The PMP bootcamp was great. I came into it with next to zero PMBOK knowledge and left the week ready and able to start applying it at work and well on my way to testing. The best part of this bootcamp was the Thursday afternoon time to work on my PMP application. I was stumped on how to put together my career history as a former business owner and doer of many things; there was a lot of PM experience there, but Yami helped me synthesize it and get it in the right format. I took the PMA PMP BOOTCAMP done by Ben Rebeske. It was intense well what do you expect in a Bootcamp? Ben was extremely professional, knew the material inside out, i noticed he related to real life examples that make it stick, eg., Crashing increases costs .. as Car crash etc. A day before my exam i was anxious and wrote an email to him. He was kind enough to reply and give me some pointers. The instructor, the material covered (especially the study guide), the peers who took the Boot camp , everything was just right. I took the PMP Project Management Academy Virtual Course in November 2023 with instructor Hans Meijer and have completed my exam on my first try in September 2024. Hans is an amazing instructor. The course and content are very intense, but Hans walked us through in a very structured way, always ready to answer questions or explaining in detail. What I appreciated the most were the real world examples, the quizzes and the way Hans explained us to think with a PMI/PMP mindest. Preparing for the PMP Exam is hard work, and PMA does a great job of ensuring that you are ready to meet the challenge. Instructor Jim Stewart was professional, invested and engaging. He encouraged students to describe situations that supported the topic being discussed, and he always had his own store of good examples that stick with you through the exam prep and exam itself. Jim was available post class /pre exam to answer a few lingering questions. It was extremely helpful and much appreciated. I recently attended the PMA Bootcamp Exam Prep Training with Hans Meijer in Boston: Nov 10th - Nov 13th. Hans is very knowledgeable in the PMI training materials and is able to relay the information in a structured way. It's a lot of information to digest and retain in the 4 days, but he was engaging even when the 4 class members may have been a bit blurry eyed at the end of an 8-hour day. After taking the Prep Exam that is recommended within 72 hours after completing the class, I realize I need to review more information and take the sample exams at my own pace to be able to absorb and understand it before taking the actual PMI exam. read more

Just a quick note to say I took the Boston Prep Course in December. Since then, I have studied about 20 to 30 minutes every other day or so. With the Holiday's providing a lot of distraction, I finally took the PMP exam and passed it the first time around. The class mock exam and the two practice exams, were key in preparing for the grueling 4 hour exam. Time frame from Course to Exam was about 6 weeks. Never thought I would actually memorize all the equations, but glad I did, about 6-8 questions regarding EV calculations. Course was an absolute must to prepare you for the PMP.
