Tim and his assistant do excellent work for a very reasonable price. We hired Pro Home for two different projects in the house we just purchased, and they did an excellent job in both projects. Hired Tim Stevens to paint the exterior of our 2 story home. We were assured his painters were well qualified. During the painting process, Tim was rarely there to supervise or have their equipment they needed to perform their jobs. We personally had to them with painters tape and when they left 3 of our Jerry buckets disappeared. The job itself was not done properly. On one side of our house it's very streaked and patchy. The facia up above has.multiple spots where no paint was applied Tim has promised multiple times that he'd take care of it, but he never calls or shows up. His excuses have run out and we'll be Taking a different route. Because of the Inferior work performed, we do not want him to try to "fix" it, even if he was honest enough to try. I ended up firing Tim Stevens because he wouldn't show up. He couldn't pay back the deposit so I agreed to let him do the bathroom. He repeatedly lied about when he would show up. If he did arrive on a day he said he would I automatically expected a 2-3 hour delay. He told me 3 days for a shower install and it took 3 weeks then he lied repeatedly about when he would come do the grout and he never showed and I gave up. Since then the drain literally came out and 3 plumbers assessed what he did and it was not to code. Amen for the CBD. read more

I called Tim after one of my rentals flooded from the bathroom sink. Tim went above and beyond. He agreed to add us on to the end of the day, at 7pm. He also picked up the parts and rented a dehumidifier for me. He replaced the faucet inspected for possible water damage. He was very efficient and a good value for the work performed. Adore! Adore! Adore! I've used Tim 3 times now, for a leaking sink (this was a flood emergency); hanging a large chandelier in my 12' high livingroom; installing 2 vanity lights, replacing the single one there before. He's prompt, neat, reliable, flexible and I can usually get an appointment within 3 days! When the bathroom flood occurred, he was there in an hour. Also, he speaks Homeowner. I've described issues with a lot of "thingy", "hangy downy part" and "whatchamacallit" vocabulary. No translator required. This guy rocks!! I don't normally write reviews but absolutely had to in this case. We hired Tim to do a small project in a home we recently purchased, to install a storage rack in our garage. He was courteous, responsive and fair in pricing. He did have to come back and repair it, as it pulled out of the ceiling as soon as we put weight on it. We took it in stride and got a few more bids from him for other projects. We hired him to build a new fence and replace two gates. The list of issues is lengthy. I understand that Tim works another job full time outside of this company. He was rarely on the job site and the crew he sent over was a revolving door and most of them were lacking in work ethic. We had several neighbors ask him for bids on similar projects, then decided not to hire him after seeing his crew in action, or lack thereof. He really needs to have a foreman to manage his jobs in his absence. The project took far longer than anticipated and I'm sure cost him more than he anticipated in labor. The fence ended up being a shabby mess. There were multiple gaps in the fence boards...no uniformity. There were fence boards that weren't even nailed in and started to warp within a couple of weeks. There were 2 x 8 trim boards that were not secured and peeled away from the fence. The gates were uneven, not hung properly, boards not secured properly, with huge gaps that left an open view of our yard and home from the street. At one point, Tim had auto issues and could not get here to finish the job. Again, I understand things happen. My issue is that he just stopped communicating for 3 days. We assumed he was not coming back and were about to hire someone else to finish. He finally resurfaced. We shared that we were very unhappy with the lack of communication. No response about that but he made a plan to come back and finish. He then sent his brother, who was late, and stated Tim had to work his other job. I reviewed all the issues with his brother, who acknowledged and agreed that there were many things that needed to be redone or finished. He made a plan to return the next day since it was getting late in the evening and more work needed to be done than what Tim had told him. It rained the following day..I texted the brother to ask if waiting til the rain passed would be better. Never heard anything else from Tim or his brother. The lack of professionalism and accountability is unreal. Early in the fence project, we also hired him to rebuild a closet that had been damaged from water. Another long story, but ended up costing us another $1800 to fix that one. Save yourself a lot of headaches and additional expense...HIRE SOMEONE ELSE. read more

We hired this gentleman to come in and fix a ceiling fan. When he came to look at the fan to determine if he could fix or if it would need replaced all together he smelt like weed, horribly. I get it is legal here, but a little professionalism goes a long way. We ended up needed a new fan, it told us it would be in the following week and he would be in Wednesday to fix it. Come Friday, we reach out to him, since we have not heard from him. He let us know they ordered the wrong part, the new one would be in Saturday and he would be in Monday to install. Come Monday, no call no show. We reach out to him on Tuesday, he let us know he had some mechanical problems, it happens to us all, but again, communication is key! When he finally came in on Wednesday, he did not even talk with the point of contact, went upstairs and put in fan, but did not even put the ceiling fan cover back on, he left that part to us. He also left without saying a word to anyone. We will not be using this business again in the future. read more

Do NOT use this guy. What a nightmare. a.k.a. Tim's Handyman Service. Where do I even begin? The job was to hang an over-the-toilet cabinet. He was about to just center it on the studs, without regard to centering it over the toilet. When I said something, he acted surprised and moved it but still didn't get it centered. And he had no way to secure it in place while he got it attached so he had me hold it. However, he did not get it level. He charged a minimum of $50 for the first hour but was here for less than half of the hour. I told him it wasn't level,and he tried to show me the 1/16 mark on the tape and said it was only off by that. Well, that was how much it was off on the bubble which translated to a good quarter inch along the side from top to bottom...visible to the eye, for sure. For some reason, my mistake, I gave him a check for $50 but then texted him the next morning and told him it was neither centered nor level and I wasn't happy with the installation. He said he'd come on Friday to fix it and bring his brother with him to hold it (as if that had been the problem - my not holding it good enough which isn't true). He said he wanted me to be happy. So, I waited the four days which I know now was only to give him time to cash my check. He didn't show at the time he gave me and, when I texted him, he asked if he could come Saturday instead. I said yes, but he never showed, called nor texted. On Monday morning, I asked him to just bring my $50 back and I'd get someone else to do it and said a bad review on Yelp would not be good for his business. He said it would cost me another $30 for him to bring an extra person and that I had said it was ok when he left (not!...I told him it wasn't level at the time and, also, off to the left). I said that he knew what the job was before he came and, if he didn't have a way to hold it in place while he got it attached, he should've brought someone the first time. At this, he became abusive. When I said it was rude of him to just blow it off on Saturday and not even text, he said I was a "rude old hag" and should "shut my mouth and deal with it" AND said I should "do the world a favor and just go die somewhere". If anyone doubts this, I have the texts to prove it and wish I could post them here. He kept insisting it was level and I was ridiculous to want him to come back just to move it an inch. It's not level and not centered over the toilet by more than an inch. I kept repeating that he should just have the money under my doormat by 4 o'clock. And he said he'd just post that I didn't pay him, ripped him off and just wanted to get free work done. I reminded him that I had the canceled check, then heard nothing further. He never intended to come back. He's a complete amateur and an extremely nasty person. I could've done the job this well myself and avoided the nastiness, not to mention wasting $50. I should've known by his multiple daily ads on craigslist under different business names. read more
