I was having a problem with the power shutting off and coming back on, on it's own, in one particular room in my house. I called Timo on the recommendation from my sister in law. I'm glad I did. Timo arrived, promptly, and after I explained the situation to him, he methodically checked all the switches and plugs, went through a series of tests in the breaker box, and figured out what the problems was. This was the work of a journeyman electrician. He finished up, cleaned up the areas he was working in, and charged me a very reasonable price. I am impressed, and will be using Timo and Progresso Electric for future repairs and projects. read more

My tenants called Timo to check light. He charged them $150 just to show up even leaving very close. Than I was able to speak to Timo as he returned and problem was not fixed this morning. He had to replace main 100 amp breaker that home depot sells for $56 He charged for this breaker $200 plus additional 120 doll to replace. Timo cannot be trusted and will take advantage of the customer. read more

Timo does excellent work and his crew is very neat about cleaning up after the job. He installed numerous light fixtures and did some other electrical work. He is pricey but good. The bad news--good luck getting him to follow up if you have any issues. Once he gets paid, he is not interested in coming back if you have any issues or concerns. Would not use him in the future. read more

Had Timo in yesterday to replace some fluorescent lighting with new led lighting in the kitchen. Showed up on time, was sensitive to all of the COVID rules and cleaned up before he left. Recommend Progresso if you need some quality work done. read more

We hired Timo Hernandez from progressive electric to put in some exterior lighting work for us. he never completed the work and was completely unresponsive when asked to follow up and make the lights work. After several months of repeated requests he promised to come by and do it "on Monday". a month later he still has not. read more

My wife just got her Tesla and we needed to find an electrician to install the new 240 electrical outlet to best charge her car. Our very close friends just had Timo, Progresso Electric, do the same in their home and they highly recommended Timo to us. Well, I contacted Timo about two weeks ago simply making one call and within minutes got a call back from him. We needed to find a date that we would be in La Quinta for the installation of the electric outlet. Timo was great and told me whatever day worked best for us just let him know. I gave him a date and he accommodated our schedule. Today, he texted me to see about coming to us early if possible. That was great for us so we agreed on the time. He and his assistant showed up exactly on time and began the installation. Timo laid out exactly what he would be doing and even to,d us there would be some small holes since we beed3c to have the installation done from our second floor bathroom closet down into our garage. During the entire installation Timo was great explaining all that was being done from the start to the end of our installation. When they were done the holes were literally non existent and unnoticeable. When Timo finished I showed him one electric outlet in our garage that had not worked in years. Lo and behold he just happened to have a replacement for that outlet and within a few minutes we had electricity once again! I was pleasantly surprised at the entire experience had with Progresso Electric. They were recommended by a friend yet I was skeptical because it wasn't a name I'd heard tossed around like some of the other more well known companies. I got bids for a two hour installation job from three places. Progresso was the lowest by $100 difference; and it was 1/2 the price of the more well known company. ($300 DIFFERENCE). The tech that arrived had a mask on: spoke perfect English; knew exactly how to tackle the install AND even found a dangerous problem with wiring behind my panel. It was a definite fire hazard that I could see had already started melting an adjacent wire and I'm grateful for his attention to something that could have resulted in a serious fire. He was polite, professional and quite tidy with his work. Please get a bid from Timo the owner before you decide on your next electrical repair. read more

He was super professional, excellent in placement, quick and did a fantastic job. We will hire him once again to continue with our lighting.
