I could not be more pleased with the attention to detail of the providers, feedback to me the parent after each visit, and the progress that my kids have made. Kate is working RPM in conjunction with a home program for one of my boys and we are amazed each week by what he knows and most importantly, that he can now have a way to show us. Denise maintains phenomenal instructional control and works specifics for fine motor improvement, spacial awareness, hand eye coordination etc. I also love that she will try new things to elicit a new response to similar stimuli. She's always thinking of new ways to achieve results. I find the therapists to be "real people", knowledgeable in their trade, professional, and loving towards kids. The atmosphere is another plus. It's a welcoming Center with a waiting room that would put other center's to shame. There are tables to work at your computer, things to keep your other kids occupied and there is also a huge play room with ball pit, trampoline and swings available. The owner knows the world well and lives it daily. That is why she makes every effort to make the experience a great one for not only the kids, yet the families and caregivers who are present also. It's clean, free parking and right off 28 and 66. For us, it's an A+. I am available to chat with anyone who wants more detail from a parent's perspective. After being a patient of Medical Associates of Reston for over 8 years, I was recently notified…read morethat the practice was going to turn into a "Concierge Practice". Dr. Gwilym Parry or Dr. Tessa Cholmondeley will charge $1,800 per patient, per year for the privileges associated with the service. Turns out that this is too rich for my bank account. Additionally, not long after the new practice was put into service, one of my prescriptions required a prior authorization. This was a prescription that was written by Dr. C, just a few months before. When I called the front office to see if they would help with the prior authorization, the answer was "Since you're no longer a patient of ours, we won't perform this service for you" So I opted to change primary doctors, and when I went to get my records transferred from Medical Associates, I was told that there was a charge for copying and printing my records and sending them to the new doctor. I chose to have only the last two years of records sent over, and was charged almost $40.

They can't necessarily make us perfect immediately, and sometimes not at all....but we have always felt well cared for. Appropriate treatments have been prescribed, and suitable specialists recommended when needed. We have found the entire staff to be competent, helpful, caring and pleasant. I think peoples expectations are out of line; it hasn't ever occurred to us to "drop in". One makes an appointment to see a doctor. Otherwise, the patients who have appointments would never get in. There are urgent care clinics, or the emergency room if you need to be seen instantly.

Being that I am also an SLP, I had very high expectations for whoever would be working with my daughter. Kelly has definitely met and exceeded those expectations by far! The progress that my daughter has made with her picky eating is astonishing. Our family, close friends and my daughter's teachers have all commented on the progress she has made. Meal time is no longer the most stressful time of day and rather has become enjoyable. The way in which Kelly works with my daughter has allowed her to gain confidence, reduce anxiety and be open to trying new things. My daughter has a tendency to get easily distracted and she did wonderfully keeping her engaged yet still loving the therapy. In fact, my oldest daughter often wanted to join in on the fun. My daughter looked forward to her therapy each week and still asks when we can have Kelli come back. In addition to the in-person therapy, Kelli also provided us with fun exercises we could do on our own to supplement our learning and she also provided me support when working through an IEP re-evaluation. This is detrimental for the kids and prevent them from seeking the right service. Please be cautious when you seek advice from this provider. They also do not allow parents to observe the class.
