Well it's easy to sign up online and some of that process seems customer friendly and streamlined. They're fighting me on OEM glass that the manufacturer specifies must be used on my model for safety systems. Plus, generic doesn't have noise canceling in it which will be the next issue I address before paying around 2grand out of pocket for the oem glass I should have been advised to use in the first place and recalibration. I probably talked to eight people and they bounced back-and-forth between Safelite in their own customer service and no one can make a decision and resolve a problem. Ultimately the shop who I was not satisfied with and accused of scratching my paint had to submit a request on my behalf to see if Oem would be permitted. Now there's a claim to determine whether or not my paint gets fixed and I would not want that to go against my insurance. The guy actually said that the scratches look like they were small as if he was minimizing the fact that my car was scratched. Doesn't really matter the size of the scratch. Fix it! The entire experience was awful and I'm going to drop them as soon as the claim closes and go with an insurance company that has an agent. Like my last one. I thought saving a few bucks and not having an agent emailed me twice a year would make my life easier but the many many hours I've spent on the phone over several days, frustrated and googling and learning about windshields and replacement has proven far more costly. The progressive reps seem like disjointed heads who may or may not be friendly to speak to but have absolutely no authority to do anything and keep transfer you to Safelite glass repair who handles their calls whether or not you use their service. So it's kind of weird. ultimately they're making me deal with the original shop that sold me the glass even though I complained about multiple points of very unsatisfactory experience with them, and told me if I took it somewhere else it would void the original shops warranty and my noise problem might not get resolved. Yes there's a noise problem after the installation. Why oem on a nicer model like mine wouldn't be covered seems ridiculous. Cheap AF insurer. Avoid if you are at all particular about your vehicle and your time. read more

This company is a terrible home insurance provider. They do not have good customer services. They are not there for your property losses and you have to proof how wind was powerful the destroy the fences. It is a waste of your money. No basis of securing your home with this insurance company. They want your money but when you ask their help to cover your loss, they show their middle finger basically. Progressive Will Abandon You When Things Go Wrong! Our recent experience with Progressive has shown just how unprofessional and irresponsible they are. Our car was sent to a Progressive network shop (Caliber Collision Milpitas) for minor repairs. When we got the car back, the airbag warning light was suddenly on. This had never happened in the 10+ years we've owned the vehicle. We have before-and-after photos of the dashboard that clearly show the airbag system was perfectly fine before the repair. We provided proof that the light wasn't there before the repair (including dashboard photos), but Progressive refused to take responsibility. They told us we had to pay out of pocket to go to a dealer for a diagnostic test. That alone was unacceptable--they should be the ones investigating a post-repair issue, not us! The dealer found that the SRS module had been changed and did not match our vehicle. Clearly, the repair shop made a mistake. Yet even with this evidence, Progressive still calls it a "coincidence" and refuses to help us. This entire experience has been stressful, expensive, and extremely disappointing. We trusted Progressive to stand by us when problems arise, especially when using one of their approved repair shops. Instead, they washed their hands of the problem and left us with a safety issue and no support. Avoid Progressive. They won't have your back when it counts. read more

Progressive insurance is a nightmare. My claim rep's name is Giana Malone who is impossible to deal with. I missed her first phone call about my claim, then the nightmare began. I called her and left a voicemail every day for 3 weeks and texted her every day in the same period of time, no response. I know she's not on vacation because I did get lucky and she answered the phone once during these 3 weeks instead of going to her voicemail, and she said she would call, still, nothing. I was almost driven to crazy by this kind of treatment. I even thought about setting up an alarm and continue calling every day for the another month, then I realized how crazy this sounds. Then I called progressive and asked for changing my rep to another person. I was told my request will be given to the supervisor named Billy Trejo, and I was also told since it was Thursday afternoon, Billy will call me the next day. I waited and Friday no phone call. I call Billy on Monday, left a Voicemail and the voicemail said all phone call would be replied by the next business day. I waited and Tuesday no phone call. So one month of the nightmare later, I am still waiting for that first phone call of my claim. I am helpless and turning into yelp. If anyone in progress sees this, please ask either Giana Malone or Billy Trejo to call me. If this review is still here after days or months or years, that means I never got that phone call from progressive and no one in progress even care about their reputation and treat customs like dust. read more

Every time I call, I'm on hold for 30 min at a time and every time a human actually talks to me, it's the same thing "sorry, wrong department, let me transfer you." If I could put 0 stars I would. I never leave reviews on Yelp as I like to think I'm very reasonable and understanding that things can happen. That being said I'm extremely disappointed with progressive and how they handled my situation. I got in an accident a month ago in my brand new 2021 Mazda on the highway at 9pm I call for a tow from them immediately. They take my claim and say they sent a dispatcher and I will receive text updates in 30-45 mins. 1.5 hours go by and nothing. I call them back and they say that they will send it right away, another 30 mins go by and nothing. I call them again and they send out another dispatcher. I do get a text update in an hour after the second tow was dispatched with an eta of 1.5 hours. Another 2 hours to by and I call them and they say they are finishing another job and they will be there in 1.5-2 hours. How is this acceptable? I end up calling CHP and AAA and they were able to get me a tow within the hour. I was stranded in the middle of the highway for 8 hours in the middle of the night all alone. I ended up getting home close to 6 am. With the repairs they deny what my body shop recommends and suggests to fix. When I call them to get clarity or to ask some questions they just avoid my phone calls. I will definitely be taking my business elsewhere. read more

He got a check to me relatively fast and almost say impressively fast but it was not signed and I tried taking it back to the branch they issued it to me and they said they couldn't deal with it I had to contact claims department after sitting on hold for an hour with with Steven find that out they transfer me to somebody where I waited on hold just to get a voicemail saying they were unavailable and they call me back by end of business day which it's been three weeks and they haven't contacted me so I again trying to get a hold of them and I'm getting bounced around from person to person do you know sitting on hold waiting sitting on hold waiting and I made a point to be patient with these people the whole time and very polite and explain my situation that it's causing me to lose money and nobody seems to be as concerned as I am it would seem to me I should be able to take the check back to the branch that issued it to me and get it signed but they're not making it real easy needless to say I'm very disappointed and I am sure I will never use this company again it's too bad things are like that anybody else has a similar experience with them giving out checks that aren't signed I think we need to everyone should know that because that would be a pattern and that would be illegal I'm sure read more

Probably one of the worst experiences I've ever had with an insurance company. I called to make a reimbursement claim because I got charged $205.00 for a Tow truck that I shouldn't have been charged for since roadside assistance and towing was included in my plan (tow location was 5 min away from where I got a flat). On January 4th I went through hell playing phone tag with roadside telling me to call progressive because they are a separate entity and can't help me with reimbursement and calling progressive for them to tell me they can't help so I get transferred again to claims which is different from roadside claims so they can't help and I spent 3 hours on the phone doing this over and over repeating myself since they apparently don't leave any notes. I then made a claim online since they can't help me on the phone, the claim didn't go through so I had to call again and after all that I finally got a hold of someone from the corporate team and they said everything is submitted and I should see everything processed in 7-10 business days. It's the 27th of January now and I've received no updates or funds at all. So I call again and guess what....same exact thing they can't look up the claim number I was given by phone number, name, or the claim number itself so nothing was done at all and I have to explain myself again to 8 different people for 1 hour and 45 min because no one can help and I'm getting transferred all over again. I just managed to file another claim that will probably not go through and I'll be calling again to not get my $205.00 back that they charged me. Definitely the worst company ever and all they say is they are sorry for the inconvenience and that they thank me for being a loyal customer, my response was thank you for wasting my time yet again and I'll wait 7-10 business days for no response or updates on my claim. -5 stars read more

I have StateFarm Insurance. My wife has Progressive Insurance our car wouldn't start so we called Progressive for our Roadside Assistance that we pay for. And needless to say it took 2hours for a tow truck to come out and help us. Its said to see all the money they put into there commercials and not into the quality of professionalism. Progressive insurance is a ripoff. Don't buy it! Even when they are liablbe for an accident repair they will try there best to rip you off by using seriously substandard parts for repair. Don't let them do that! You have rights! Don't just accept there quote with shitty aftermarket parts that are not fully, form, fit and function equivalent to what was on your car before the issue. I just had a situation where a 50 ton Dirt truck insured by progressive hit me from behind at a red light. I will NEVER insure with Progressive Insurance ever! Their claims adjusters are overworked and stressed out of their minds. I have seen a couple of their Claims Adjuster Trainees cry because of stress. No Claims Adjuster Trainee has stayed over 2 years at least in the last couple of years in the Santa Clara, CA location. Claims Adjuster Trainees at this location are struggling at returning phone calls because of their workload. Would you like your call/s NOT returned in a timely manner when you need a call back the most ??? If the Department of Insurance checks this location's "Additional Time Letters", I am sure that they will find a lot of violations. This letter is required to be sent out to insureds/ claimants to explain the reason for the delay of the claim resolution. This must be sent out if no claim resolution can be reached within 40 calendar days. This letter MUST be sent out every 30 days until a claim resolution is reached. The Claims Adjuster Trainee working condition in this location MUST seriously be investigated. This is a hostile work environment and the only reason why people would want to work at this location is to make money and pay the bills. How do I know this? Well, because I worked there. I was even told to fib or lie to clients just to form fake connections with clients. Wouldn't this be considered a lack of integrity? I can even give the exact time and situation when I was told to do this. I would even attest to this under oath! I will choose any other home, auto or motorcycle insurance company over Progressive Insurance. USAA, AAA, State Farm, Allstate and GEICO are pretty good insurance companies and they treat their employees well. read more
