Progressive if AWFUL. I pay my bill on time. I sitting at a red line and a lady ran in the back of my car at the light. June 15, 2025. I told the progressive rep it same like something is wrong. I could not say what, but you know your car. Waiting on Progressive to check for rental coverage took 2 weeks. Car stop running. the had to tow it to BMW. the BMW body shop told me the car was ready on Aug. 14 I get there pay my deductible $999 and the car is doing the same thing killing you can not drive it. this is another story. now the car was sent to the BMW for service. Progressive is holding up the repair trying to see if the repair is related the the hit on June 15. Keep in mind I just had my BMW service on May 23, 2025 before the lady ran in the back of me at the light. now Thank God BMW records your car service I did not know that. you can see it was not there and the machine would have pick that up. Progressive has had my care for over 3 month now the repair will cost them an additional $1300.All i here everyday is they are waiting for higher management. This is disrespectful to the customer. Progressive is awful. I have work they do not try to help the customer get back to a normal life. My blood presure is has been high because of the stress. Now the Progressive me I can pay for the repairs myself and then progressive will get back with me after I pay the are a fucking fool. Hate the company. My claim rep Joshua M. is the worst he does not return calls or even update me on what is happening with my vehicle, I have to call the body shop to find out what is going on. To have achieved Emerald status with Progressive I sure don't feel like it with the way the claim is being handled I might as well go and do everything myself because again Joshua M. has nothing but a lot of excuses if and when he decides to answer his phone or return a call. I have had the worse customer service and after being with Progressive for 5+ years, I have decided to cancel because of them. My accident was 10/31 and by bank has yet to be paid off...needless to say I am making payments on a vehicle that is in Progressives position so it wont effect my credit. My experience with Progressive is HORIBLE! We have had a claim going for over a month. My rep never calls or provides any sort of update. I have to nag the hell out of them before they call me back. Then they tell me they are going to do something like FedEx the paperwork the next day.... 4 days later no paperwork. This review is about employee Heather Hughes, the adjuster who was my only contact after a recent accident. I was hit by a driver insured by this company 2 months ago. While I was waiting at a red light, a large pick up truck moved over from a left lane and hit my car, causing significant damage. I called 911 and the police assigned 100% fault to the driver, she accepted the fault and provided a true statement. There were eye witness accounts who provided their information and are willing to appear in a court of law. Ms Hughes told me for 50 days that the police report was not ready and they were waiting on the report. I finally decided to go to the police station and found out the report was ready. So I called her and this time she told me my claim has been denied. I asked the reason and she said they don't need to provide me any reason. I asked if they called the witness, and she said it is not relevant. I asked if she realizes her client is on record of local law enforcement, accepting fault. She does not care. I now have a great lawyer, we are suing the company, and possibly the other driver who is providing a false statement (according to her agent.) It is truly a shame a problem that could have been solved easily will now drag and will cost me my time as well, but I believe it will be worth it. If noone takes action, problems like this one will never be resolved. A word of advice to others who file a claim with Progressive, find an attorney immediately, do not wait to hear from them, and make sure to get a medical report following the incident as well, which my lawyer has made me do, i would have never thought of it myself. In addition, we will be filing reports with the Better Business Bureau, and other local watchdogs, i encourage everyone to do the same. I am from a licensed auto repair shop. We had to replace a part that cost over $200.00 for our customers vehicle. The adjustor came in to see the damage and I gave them an invoice with the price amount. The next day, the adjustor said it was approved and the check was ready. One of our employees went to pick up the check but once we compared to the invoice it was $100.00 LESS. Later after calling the adjustor 8 times and he was no help at all, he just repeated the same thing every time, that he found an AFTERMARKET CHEAP PART and that he was paying that amount to us instead. We called the manager a couple of times and no answer. We called 4 other phone numbers and we were taken for a ride to a dozen different departments who offered no help at all. So I just went to the office. The secretary said the same thing that Progressive only wants aftermarket parts on their repairs. So I asked for manager. Had my car broken into and there was a lot of damage (door and dash) to get to the radio. Repair service was fast, polite, and efficient... the lobby does get a little noisy when the agents don't realize they're projecting too loudly on the phone . I had the best agent she reminds me of a cross between the cute blonde song&dance lady from 'pushing up daisies' and the other song&dance actress that plays '7of9' ... She's Simply a Darling person...Where things go bad was when I had to return because the replacement radio was not working and I also complained about it not having an AUX port like the previous radio... Actually it was the one thing I had asked for concerning a replacement... The stolen radio was really nice and the speakers that came with it are awesome but a flashy replacement would just have me right back for force-entry repairs ... I stated that even just an aux port to the speakers would keep me content ... I'm not much for radio stations/Satellite or otherwise... My cell phone has my needs covered, except for Aux. So I was just about to handover the keys and get my rental-car when the (oddly well-informed on claim) manager guy came by & just started douching-out with intent ... He was saying I was to get the equivalent of what ever basic radio the Chevy Silverado was given by the manufacturer in 2005 (no port)... Unless I can prove what was stolen ...I had the truck about year... No pictures showing the radio ...nothing then to my knowledge ... So he started implying I was a liar in as many roundabout ways as anyone can eagerly state. Lucky for him my KristinChenowethFembot was partial to point out how unlikely someone would be to steal a 2005 OEM radio & the speakers would likely be of a set from the brand... My vehicle was involved in an accident - hit by a Progressive Insurance customer back in October 2019. Progressive Insurance accepted fault for the accident and to make the necessary repairs caused by the accident. I am diligent about keeping my car in a top running condition but two + months after the accident my car has been returned to me with multiple error codes for issues that were not present prior to the accident. After several discussions with their adjuster, Progressive has said they will not pay for anymore repairs. This feels a lot like the Mayhem commercials where they talk about cut rate insurance not covering your vehicle repairs. Unfortunately in my case this is real!!! I will never purchase any coverage from Progressive Insurance and if I'm ever hit by a Progressive customer - I'm calling my attorney first. read more

Don't trust their initial estimates! Our claim was determined 80/20 so we would be paying 20% of the repair which, while not ideal, was acceptable. So we went the simple route and stuck with Progressive to get a quote to see what the repair would cost. They gave us an estimate of $700 and told us they didn't think the final amount would fluctuate more than $50. Well...it was billed at $1300. It seemed pretty obvious to me they lowball their initial estimate so you don't feel inclined to take the check and get it fixed somewhere else then hit you with close to double the initial estimate. Luckily we only had 20% to pay you can imagine the effect for people that had higher percentages or more damage to their vehicle. Hopefully this review will make others more cautious when using Progressives repair services. read more

I was recently hit by a driver who is insured by Progressive. This office handled my claim. Getting the repairs made was not horribly complicated, although the agent with whom I was dealing did forget to reserve my rental car in a timely manner as requested. After the repairs were made, I requested diminished value for my vehicle. I have followed up with Ashley Taylor, the agent handling my claim, several times over the span of a couple of months. She has gone dark and has not responded to a single request. I will keep persisting, but I am not confident this will be resolved quickly or without headache. Since then Progressive has refused to return my phone calls, made excuse after excuse for why they could not get me a rental car or move forward with my claim. They finally decided to except liability and offered me a value for my totaled vehicle this week. Once I had negotiated my property damage with my claims adjuster and the truck was on the way to pick up my totaled vehicle, I received a call from my claims adjuster saying that the entire deal was off and my claim had been transferred to yet another progressive adjuster. My accident was on December 12, 2017 and it is now February 23, 2018 and I have yet to receive any compensation or help from progressive insurance. This is just The tip of the iceberg of the horrible treatment I have received after a Progressive client ran a red light smashed into my car with my five-year-old son in it and Completely totaled my vehicle causing thousands of dollars in property damage and bodily injury. Horrible insurance company! I've had them for my car and motorcycle for almost 5 years always paying my bill in full every 6 months before it expired. Something happened on their end on the website - I submitted payment and I got a confirmation both on their site and through email that my payment would be processed on the date I indicated. Unfortunately I had an accident a couple of days after I thought my policy renewed. When I called to report, that's when I found out it had expired. They did not honor the fact that I in good faith thought I had paid and would not respect a grace period. I dropped this insurance and got a better deal with Geico. The agents I dealt with at Progressive were Nazelli Daughtery and Sharde Snipes - awful service. When I called to cancel the my policy, the customer service agent just read from her script and didn't care at all. I waited to take a survey but she disconnected the line.
