I recommend John Scott Roofing 100% hands down the best in service, professionalism, knowledge and price. We did remodeling in a previous life, so all of this was familiar to us. I asked 10 roofing contractors to come out and give me a price on Owens Coring Duration Designer with peel/stick water barrier. 1-John Scott does his own estimates and goes over all the points needed for a successful roof replacement, prep, warranty and answers all questions, no pressure. ***THIS INCLUDES the signed statement he has paid for materials. WHAT THIS MEANS you will not get a lien on the products installed if the roof company fails to pay for their materials. 2-No down payment 3-Uses their own license (yes this is a thing-some contractors pay to use others licenses) 4-The installers were professional, and cleaned up every nail. Our 2K SF roof was done in 1 day. Tear off, replace any rotten wood, prep, waterbarrier, and new shingles. 5-Price was the lowest even with a premium product. JS did not charge extra for the premium product either. Out of the 10 estimates: John Scott was the lowest, the second closest came in $600 more. The rest $3000-$9,000 MORE FOR THE SAME PRODUCT/SERVICE. 6-His office team is responsive and he has a great warranty! DO YOUR HOMEWORK. Be patient, he is booked! The office team was incredible! After multiple trips back to my home and tarring down loose shingles, it was discovered that my home has another roof inside the attic!!! The cause of the leak was flashing not installed or badly installed on the chimney by another roofer. Rick and Chris were out here multiple times trying on the same initial fee I paid to tackle the root cause of the leak. They didn't charge me for any of the return visits. When the problem was discovered they gave me an estimate of the cost to install the flashing. The final cost was less than the worst case scenario And they saved me some money. What honest guys!! From beginning to end, the level of response, care and attention to questions/concerns as a customer was above board and expectation. The quality of the work, attention to detail and design for the project left nothing to be desired. The friendliness of the company personnel, from the basic paver installer to Joel the company owner was comforting during the life of the project. At the end of the project, we were very impressed with the level of self-quality control where several company workers and finally the owner himself walked the project and requested certain pavers be reinstalled due to small chips etc. that were observed. Timeliness, the project was completed on time and with incredible speed. In the end, we are extremely pleased with the end result. Our home was made much more attractive and the value to cost of the property was worth every penny. Many of our neighbors have commented on how beautiful the driveway and front now look. I was able to contact Mr. Wood he came out and gave me a quote, from the ground knew the shingles that were needed, and in a few days had a few of his guys come out to fix it. His son came out to do the work, and it turned out great. I was recently told by my insurance company I could not be insured due to the age of tge roof (20 years old.) I contacted Dave and he and his crew installed an exposed fastener metal roof. He was willing to go with Tri County metal's since they had the color and roof pannels we wanted. Dave, Randy, and the rest of the crew did a great job installing the new roof. They pulled the permits, and made sure they were closed out. When they left the area was clean and looked great. A wonderful improvement to our home. Dave, like me, is a talker. We had quite a few good conversations over the couple of years. He started roofing as a young man working for his Uncle. Dave has been on roofs and roofing for over 35 years. He really know his trade. His son works for him and appears just as skilled. My final impression of him and his crew is that they are trustworthy, friendly, courteous, thrifty, cheerful, and true tradesman. I will hire them again without hesitation.
