Dr. Liao is polite and knowledgeable it seems, however, I took my Invisalign business elsewhere…read morebecause I personally didn't like his staff. From my last visited quote, I asked why the price went up and the staff said because of the pandemic.. really? is that a joke? but one of them mentioned they are busier than ever. They don't even have hand sanitizers available after filling out their mandatory covid forms with the same pen that is clipped to the clipboard and I had to ask for a hand sanitizer. This made me think about my safety and compared to other medical offices, and for a dentist where things are going in my mouth, I was concerned about the staff's hygiene practices and their care of customer's safety. In addition, I really disliked that we were discussing my financial situation, standing in front of a lobby over plexiglass, while other customers were listening about my procedures and price quote. The manager (Josephine?) was polite and tried to be accommodating but I just didn't feel right about their staff. I really felt unappreciated as a customer. 2 hours later, I went to another Invisalign provider and they gladly price match and I paid the whole procedure in full minus insurance coverage. They also had a ton of hand sanitizers available and they separated the new and used pens in front of their counters. My fiancé needs Invisalign as well and I might have her go to the other place with me as well.

Finally! A dental office that I don't dread coming to!…read more This dental office is so clean and decorated with beautiful modern décor, the entire staff is extremely friendly, and Dr. Liao actually cares about his patients and takes the time to get to know them. He even thoroughly explains why you may be experiencing pain, discomfort, or sensitivity instead of just telling you to floss more then rushing you out as soon as possible. I highly recommend this office!

Update: I want to acknowledge that since posting this review, office manager Maria reached out and…read moremade things right regarding the night guard. When I came in, Marcello assisted me and made the whole process smooth and comfortable -- and they provided a replacement at no charge. I appreciate that gesture and want to give credit where it's due. The concerns outlined below remain, but this was a meaningful step in the right direction. Raising my rating to reflect that, and grateful for how they personally handled this. Maria and Marcello are a credit to this practice. Would recommend giving the practice another chance!

Long story short I feel like i was treated weird and a little prejudice I don't know maybe Nike…read moreshorts with a Nike tech sweater with crocs isn't good to wear at dentist appointment Horrible horrible horrible!!! I came in here for dental appointment with my fiancé, they assisted my fiancé first and did x-rays and cleaning and I was booked first with an appointment but after inspecting insurances they called my fiancé in first I was then left in the waiting room for 1 hour we came in at 9:30am. While waiting I can hear them speaking about me saying they won't do cleaning for me. When my name is called at around 11am they tell me they will only do x rays I said if I'm not doing everything today I don't want to do anything. The nurse who called me in went to speak to the front desk the other nurse comes in (the one who was saying out loud that she won't be cleaning my teeth try's to convince me that I should do X-rays and come another day for cleaning) I told her no I'm not wasting another day when I can do both the same day and I got here early. My fiancé came in same time as me and she got a full service so I should too. They proceeded to tell me I booked an appointment for consultation but me and my wife booked the appointment together through zocdoc for the same reasoning.

Great experience with Dr. Moon!…read more Dr. Moon is a very honest and professional dentist. As a healthcare professional myself, I'm sure that I asked a ton of questions that he usually wouldn't have to answer. Dr. Moon patiently answered all of them and explained all procedures and work done as he was doing it. I had quite a bit of dental work done with him. He is a perfectionist in his work and I appreciated his attention to detail. Not only was Dr. Moon great, his assistant was also very helpful as I strategically minimized my co-pay. This was probably my best experience as a patient and I would strongly recommend Dr. Moon!

I should have known issues were inevitable when I made my first appointment, I found this place…read morebecause my insurance assigned my son here. With him being too young for a dentist yet and they take adults, I figured why not. Their front door and appointment system both say their day starts 10am. Apparently this is wrong and it's at 11am. Okay fine whatever, they were nice about it. I wasn't crazy with the dentist's bed side manner. It was very straight forward, no nonsense but no warmth to his personality. Usually this does not bother me until I went today. Now I warned them I'm not an easy patient, I hate needles and I don't do well with pain. Said it at both appointments. I never ever had a single issue at my old dentist in manhattan after 9 cavities and them using that big ass needle to numb my mouth. The ONLY reason I switched was because my insurance. Never had an issue at my Brooklyn dentist either with cavities but switched that one because I moved to jersey. Compared to my other dentist, he barely uses the topical and then goes all in with the needle. I don't give a shit how gentle you thought you were. Damn thing hurt and I lost it. Meanwhile he's like "I've never had this happen before and can't have you yelling. It makes me uncomfortable." And I'm thinking how the hell does he work on kids then? He says he's very gentle. Sure about that? I have never hit the roof like that ever. My old dentist used the same needle. I tried asking whether enough topical was on as my old dentist numbed the crap out of me but for the most part I was dismissed. I let him do the cavities he could do today and said no way to the deep clean on the top right because I'm not going to do 1/4 of my mouth and go home. He didn't feel comfortable with my response to my pain so the bottom right was out. So when I declined the deep clean, he goes how he already gave me the numbing crap for the top. I declined anyway and he goes "have a good day" quickly and walks out immediately whether I had a response or not. Um ok? I will not be returning to a place where I'm just a faceless patient on the schedule and my son will not be going here ever. Two stars for the very nice staff/assistants and very clean office. But I'd rather pay out of pocket in the city for quality dentistry than sit and cry in a chair in pain. I love how he says it's not my fault but leaves and doesn't come back until I'm done being upset. No compassion whatsoever. I find it very hard to believe none of your patients ever get that upset.
