We are extremely happy with their work. Our driveway was well past prime as evidence by the pooling of water, cracking and overall ashy look. Deluxe milled our driveway and then paved. I should have checked the reviews on this company before we hired them. They are a scam fly by night company. They have many negative reviews on the BBB.org, Facebook, Google.com, etc. To make a long story short we paid $16,000 to have this company blacktop our driveway. The contact we have with them states we have a 2 year warranty, within 5 months we noticed several serious compromises in the blacktop. They did not put down the 2 inches thick of blacktop as stated in the contract. The blacktop started cracking and grass started growing through several areas. When we called the company several times in 2023 and 2024 about these issues and spoke with Dave, he said he will fixed it. It has been 2 years later and still nothing!!! We keep calling and Dave keeps telling us to call him back in a month because he isn't in Florida. This a scam company that does sub quality work, and does not honor their own warranty. Do not hire this company, check out their reviews. They take the customers' money do terrible quality work and run.

Mike was super friendly and sold us a large project and we went into it thinking he would do a great job. He talked me into choosing character white oak w knots in it. I had told him it was too knotty for me and said I would prefer just a few knots, just a little character. He said I'd get zero character with the select white oak. So then I asked what if we ordered a mix of character and select and just placed a few character boards. He said it was better to order the character and "cut out the knotty parts" (see texts). We had additional convos about it, and he said "we will cut around the knots," assuring me that we would be very happy with this and saying that the select white oak had gone up in price and would save money this way. I said, "won't this make the boards too short"? He said no, It would not. I was clear I didn't want short boards. (Mike should never have recommended this; we would have paid for the select oak if we had any idea how terrible of an idea it was to cut around knots when these boards were FULL of them. Mike suggested cutting around the knots. I had no idea that was even an option). We ended up with a massive amount of short boards and major gaps between them. I raised concern about gaps while they were laying down the floor and was told gaps would be gone once they were done finishing and filling the floor. That is not what happened and we have had gaps from day one. They never close, not even in the summer. The day of install was a true nightmare. First, his team didn't speak English and Mike was late and not there to oversee them. When he did show up, he was rude when I tired to confirm the sub floor areas that were weak/squeaky and needed attention (he had said he would fix all squeaky areas but they still squeak). Mike was also extremely unprofessional. He said I was a "pain in the ass" to my contractor, within hearing distance, within minutes of arriving (after I walked around and showed him the squeaky areas). Absolutely disgusting behavior, and a true shock as he had been pleasant before install day. I have never experienced such terrible behavior from a company hired to do work in our home. I regret not telling him to leave my house right then, and should have. But I really felt in shock and froze. Then, as the floor started to go in with a lot of knots, I started asking them to please cut them out like discussed. Mike then acted like it was my idea to cut around the knots and was extremely hostile with me and kept saying I should have gone with the higher cost select white oak as we were going to have too many short boards and not enough wood to cover the floor. Not once did he apologize or say he had misjudged the amount of cutting needed. He blamed me for accepting his idea to cut around the knots. At that point, I was in tears and did not know how to handle such a hostile environment/the gaslighting. As a first time homeowner, I had no idea a job could go so badly. I wish I had told them to stop work. We were so uncomfortable that we didn't have them back to sand and finish the floor. I ended up in tears over the extreme stress and to see money we had saved for a long time go to waste. We had another company come in to sand/finish. they said the gaps would never be able to be filled with putty, as Mike had said they would be, because it was installed poorly and expansion and contraction. It never feels fully clean because anything that spills gets in the gaps. The absolute worst part is that we paid $18K for a new floor that is full of large gaps between the planks, and quite a few boards are "Weak" and bend when you step on them. The entire floor needs ripped out and redone correctly. I did not post this review for 2 years because I am not a confrontational person, but living with the terrible work that was done in my home has been very upsetting. My contractor was shocked by this company's behavior and no longer recommends them.

He and his team had to deal with floors that were structurally sound but had a factory finish that did not wear well and was tough to strip; it now looks like a brand new floor was installed. My GC originally hired Tile Studio for a rebuild of our kitchen after a flood. I chose a large…read moretravertine and was initially happy with the floor. A year later, I started seeing cracking in the tiles and grout. I called, no response. I continued to call for over a year, and finally, they responded. They came out and looked and said they would repair tile and grout under warranty. They fixed the tile, but not the grout. The grout they did put in around the new tiles was a much lighter color, but they assured me that it was only because it was new, and it would age to the proper color. I later found out they had based the replacement grout on the receptionist remembering that I had wanted a floor from the studio display. While I had chosen the tile from the display, I had not chosen the same grout, as it was far too light for a kitchen floor. A couple of years later, grout still cracked, more tiles cracked. I had them come out again, and they said they would replace them and fix the grout. There was no mention of a charge, nor was an estimate given, oral or written. They came out and Frank repaired the tiles. He was careful and talented, and the only reason I would give any stars. He had me help choose the grout, and the new grout around the new tiles is almost perfect. Then came the bill. I was told that since the cracking was due to joist movement, it wasn't their problem, so they had to charge me. $2600. For about 12 tiles. I understand if there is a problem and a company needs to charge for repairs. But, the proper procedure is to give an estimate. If I had been given an estimate, I would have fully understood that I was not under any warranty. I would have then been free to hire someone else for the repairs. TL/DR: Shoddy work + over a year of waiting for a reply + wrong color grout + bill when none discussed + no communication = unhappy customer And, the grout is still the wrong color.

Cooper Roofing just redid the roof's for our entire row of apartments. They leaked through our ceiling one day & our neighbors ceiling a week later & in the hallway. The fire department even came one day, it was a whole ordeal. I suspect they leaked through every building they did. The roofers only come on rainy days, & leave the roof exposed to the rain, thus all the leaks. They come & go as they please, they come one day, then don't show up for a week- took weeks just to do our roof. Not only did we have to deal with all this leaking, the roofers were careless with our plants & furniture on the patio, even after asking them countless times to try to please try to protect it. They threw tons of trash, a whole dumpster full, all over our balcony, crushing our plants. They didn't keep up a tarp, refused to throw trash down the side of the building instead chose to continue throwing it onto/over our balcony. I understand roofing is a messy job & some stuff is going to fall, but they just didn't even try at all. To make matters more upsetting the owner or higher up or manager, they wouldn't give us a name, put up a ladder to our balcony, knocked on our window while we're working, just to then proceed to be extremely rude & condescending to us, extremely unprofessional, refusing to even acknowledge or take responsibility or give a sincere apology. Instead he told us he knows he's rude, he said his daughter says the same thing, weird? Extremely unprofessional, really speaks volumes as to what kind of company Cooper roofing is. They did say they would reimburse us for our damaged plants, but instead gave us the run around & wasted our time. I never write reviews, but this whole ordeal, especially the way the manager or owner or whoever he was spoke to us led me to write this. Stay away from Cooper roofing, where integrity never mattered.
