When we called them back for some work on the inside of the house, they took a lot of pride in how well the exterior paint was holding up and offered to do some minor touchups where our wreath hanger had scraped the paint away. I met with Ray at 4 Brothers and I asked quite a few questions to gauge how knowledgeable he was and his approach on the project. The roofline would require a few complex angles and structural changes. Ray understood what it would take and pointed out several improvements for the build that would save money and add value to the project. We agreed and signed a contract. The carpenters began the work on Saturday and in 6 hours have the walls and joists up. The work continued on Monday. Adian, Juan, Homer and the crew were very fast and efficient with materials. They listened to my concerns and were very supportive. They got them whole job done by Tuesday, on time and on budget and cleaned up the site. I've had several friends over since and they were really impressed with the build quality and thoroughness. It's really nice when you show off your project and the Monday morning quarterbacks can't make any comments on how this or that should have been done better. In fact, they were so impressed they wanted 4 Brothers contact info for their own stuff. If you're a low grade DIYer like me, you want help for big jobs but you may have concerns about the honesty, craftsmanship, and communication of a builder. There was a miscommunication at the start of the project, but in the end, I left satisfied. Julio and his guys did a good job and I feel like my place has more life to it than it did before. For that, I am thankful. Fortunately, I did my own research when it came to the type of paint I felt I should get, where to get it, and approximately how much. Tips/pointers were provided by Julio which I feel were helpful to a newbie customer like me. Overall, I'm happy I chose to use these guys. Took me a while to post this review. I found them on Yelp hoping the reviews are legit. Some of…read morethem probably are. And as much as I would like to give them a good review, them being our last contractor before we finally moved back in our house (after 20 long months of being displaced after Hurricane Beryl), it has been stressful cleaning up after the mess these guys have done to our home. And to this day, we're still finding paint splatters on floors, appliances, furnitures, doors; unpainted areas; uneven paint; it never ends. If you own a home, and you have things inside your home, don't hire these guys. They don't respect your property. Shoe prints on top of our table cover, it's so bad we had to throw it away. We had just installed wood floors on our stairs and there's a lot of scruff marks a thick dirt that we had to scrub it clean. They painted over nails. Paint was dumped on our toilets and sinks, and on our lawn. A simple search confirms that these are ILLEGAL. They tried to deny it but then later admitted to it when confronted. We brought up a lot of these issues shortly after they "finished" and they did come to try to correct many of it. And for that, I give them credit for. But I'm still finding paint splatters on several items, to this day, as we're working our way towards fully settling back in our home. ADDITIONALLY: before they came, we had our home thoroughly and professionally cleaned twice by another contractor specializing on air quality. And those cleaners have video proof of their work so we have evidence of the condition of our home (cleanliness-wise) before these painters roughed it it. I'm truly disappointed and I don't recommend this company to anyone at all.
