Customer service here has died; may it rest in peace. As I said in my previous review, my stepdog Chocolate Chip is a cocker-shiht. Thus his black-and-white coat is a fur magnet for all manner of nature. It also doesn't help that his favorite hobby is getting dirty af and rolling around in the dirt. Therefore my wife has been taking him to the Groom Room every couple of months, as it is conveniently located a block down from where he lives. Last month, however, was different. The way they traditionally clean dogs here is by having them stand on a waist-high table and then attaching a leash to their neck to prevent any doggy eloping. The morning that my wife walked through the door, she noticed that an unattended dog became startled and tried to jump off the table. Given that the dog was still attached to its leash, however, it ended up dangling by its neck from the side of the table for several seconds. Whether the dog could breathe or not, I'm not sure, but when my wife pointed it out to an employee, he reassured her that it happened all the time and it was nothing to worry about. Skeptical, my wife dropped off Chocolate Chip. Several hours later, when my wife walked through the door to pick up Chocolate Chip, he too was on the table unattended. As soon as he saw my wife, he ran towards her but was instantly restrained by the leash. He fell off the table and essentially hung himself, dangling there for 5 seconds before an employee tended to him. Same answer as last time: "It happens all the time." No apologies whatsoever. Given the apathetic response, I feel that these incidences of unintended dog lynching are common and go unchecked. If you care for the neck of your dog, I would not come here. read more

My daughter walked in to pick up our fur baby and she heard one guy yelling at a dog. Cussing at him/her. While the other 2 allowed it. When they noticed my daughter they got very worried and were overly friendly. But it's too late she heard what she heard and that's not okay! There is nothing " Professional" about this place. Took our dogs to get groomed. Paid for works, including flea treatment. $160 for 2 med. Sized dogs. ( under 12 pounds) They cut my dogs hair however THEY want. They do not listed to my request, I told them to make sure NOT to cut my dogs eye lashes THIS time. They said they wouldn't this time. They cut my dogs hair way too short, despite the fact that insisted they only give them a small trim. My dogs ears were NOT cleaned. Just removed a piece of wax from my dogs ear. They don't honor their commitment times. Place is not kept clean Will not be retuning here. read more

Listen to all the warnings and don't bring your pet here. There's a reason they're being investigated. Like my husband mentioned earlier, we used to bring my dog here. At first, things were great... they'd squeeze us in for last minute appointments, my dog would be ready at the time promised, he'd look cute when we took him home. But after the first two visits, it all went downhill. He'd come home with cuts nobody disclosed to me, he wasn't ready when they promised, and then the kicker... they left him unattended so he fell off the table and basically hung himself in front of me. That was terrifying. No apology whatsoever. They just said it happens all the time and got angry when I suggested changes to their system so it wouldn't happen again to anybody else's dog. He said that he rather have a dog hang than run out the front door. He then threatened to hold my dog hostage until I paid him for his services. Eventually we paid the fee in cash with no tip. The AH didn't even give us a discount. The owner then said our initial review (of his business letting my dog fall off the table and strangle himself) was funny. Unbelievable. We obviously stopped bringing our pets here after this incident. Honestly, if the owner can't see anything wrong with injuring other peoples' pets, losing them (reason why they're investigated apparently), or letting them hang/strangle by their necks off a table... that person shouldn't be trusted to temporarily have custody of your pet while grooming them. Now i understand why my dog would put the 4-legged breaks on when I took him here. He saw things I didn't while he was there. Please heed the warnings and go somewhere else. The savings aren't worth your pet's life or safety. read more

My dog had no sign of been taking care yet and he seemed very thirsty and scare, I asked the same guy who took my dog in why my dog wasn't ready yet? And his answer was that he had taken my dog with NO appointment when I walked in personally a week before and He personally made me the appointment, after arguing he told me that he could have my dog ready in 15 minutes when I'm the beginning he gave me 2 hrs time frame to get my dog ready??????. When I picked up my dog after 40 minutes not 15 like he said, I noticed my dog was beaten from his nose, im sure they did that to my poor baby knowing that he wasn't able to defend himself. My mom took our dog this afternoon. She didn't know the place she just googled the nearest groomer. We picked him up, once we got home he started acting weird not knowing why. I was petting my dog and I felt something wired on his front legs and it was wet I looked it was blood. They cut my dog and I checked and he had cuts in both front legs. Took my dog back here a couple of days ago since they did such a nice job the last time. I picked her up and everything looked good. They didn't mention any concerns to me. I liked the cut they gave her (except her tail, I didn't like how they left it long because my dog is prone to getting poop stuck on her tail. Plus it just looked ugly, but I didn't say anything to them.) Later that night, I noticed my dog scooting a lot. She shouldn't have been because they should have expressed her anal glands; which is supposed to be included in the basic package. At this point, we were pretty peeved because, if that was the case, we paid for a service that they advertised was included and assumed they didn't do it. Fast forward to the next day, while walking my dog, I noticed her vagina looked really pink/red and she was still scooting. I picked her up and the area looked semi-infected and there was dried blood/scabs on and around her vagina, including around her anus. We took her to the vet and the vet told us the area is irritated and has a slight infection because the groomers got a little too close and gave her razor burns. That explains the scooting. Luckily it's not too serious and with some ointment it should clear up in a few days. I don't know if they were having an off-day or if it was just plain carelessness and disregard, but I do know we won't be taking her back there again! read more

IRRESPONSABLE. TERRIBLE SERVICE. If I could give this place 0 stars, i would. This is by far the worst pet groomer I have ever been to. The BIGGEST problem is that they failed to contact me when my dog started to feel uncomfortable in one of the cages. My dog ended up BREAKING ONE OF HER K-9s (teeth) AND BITING HER OWN TONGUE. I had even warned them that she could start feeling a little uncomfortable and that they should call me if she did. Then, they LOST my dog's collar with her name tag AND CITY ID TAG. To top it all off, they had a TERRIBLE attitude when I tried to complain. They tried to lie about who was working when it happened and EVEN WENT AS FAR AS TO TRY TO BLAME MY DOG. Take the time to drive up somewhere farther even if this place is closer and convenient. It's not worth coming here at all. We took our dog here for her usual haircut and we got her back with a crappy haircut and you can even see the bad job they did as there was visible spots where the skin was exposed. It was not necessary to cut her hair down to the skin. I'll even add how bad our last experience was. The last time we took our dog to this place, we dropped her off in the morning, and all day we were waiting to see when they were finished (as it is the employees responsibility to contact the owner once the service is complete). As the time got closer to their closing time, we decided to go to the shop ourselves and see what was going on. When we got there, an employee was already locking up ready to leave and our dog was still in the store locked up. Now, idk what the intention was, or if you guys truly forgot you left our dog in there, but nonetheless it's unacceptable. I am extremely happy with their services. My dog is a complicated little 9 year old chihuahua and they are able to provide any services with care. She recently got her teeth cleaned, which she had never gotten done before and I was nervous at first because I wasn't sure how she was going to feel. But they broke down her teeth cleaning into 3 sessions because they didn't want to overwhelm her. Her teeth now are A1 clean!!
