I went to Path for alterations on a bridesmaid dress and she did an INCREDIBLE job! Not only did she correct the length (which was VERY long and was not a simple correction due to the cut of the dress), but she also suggested an alteration that I did not think of myself, but made the dress 100x better! Path is an excellent tailor and great to work with. I made the terrible mistake of ordering a made-to-measure suit online (please, never do this), and Path rescued me. Faced with a suit that didn't fit me at all (seriously, it looked like suit-inspired pajamas on me), Path created something perfectly wearable. She took in the pants by several inches and completely reworked the jacket, taking in the sides, back, and sleeves and shortening the length. Path completely reworked this suit in less than a week and for an affordable price. I will be back there for all my future alteration needs. Which will be for clothes that I do NOT buy "made-to-measure" from the internet. read more

Showed up on a Wednesday morning with a bridesmaid's dress that needed to have the shoulders taken up and the sides taken in. I sheepishly asked Path if there was any way she'd have time to get to it before I needed to leave town Friday for a wedding, and she said she could. "I know how it is and try to help people." She quickly diagnosed what needed to be done, added it to her long list of work (in the middle of wedding + prom season!), and said to come back Friday. She was done with it early, and did a beautiful job--the dress fits perfectly now and looks so much better! Path is fast, and clearly knows what she's doing. Needed a dress tailored for an event on Saturday. I called on the Sunday before the event and left a voicemail about my dress. Path called back almost immediately and asked that I come in that day! She works out of her home, has years of experience in clothing alterations, and was very professional and friendly! My dress was ready on Thursday that same week and turned out beautiful. Very reasonable prices and down-to-earth atmosphere. I was happy to pay $40 for her work adjusting the front of the dress. Thank you, Path! read more

If I could I'd give it half a star. I calledon October 24 and set up appointment for the next day for 9AM. I showed up, cars in driveway, I knocked then rang doorbell no answer! Wow, what a way to run a business, NOT!!! I then headed over to a local cleaners, Campbell's and was in and out in less than 10 minutes. All I need done is shortening of some pants. I say, do not use this alteration company. Go to Campbell's Cleaners on 9th St if you are in Corvallis. read more

As with the previous reviewer, I had a great experience w/ Path. I had a suit coat I needed altered the same day for a funeral out of state and she had me come over and had it done in a matter of a few hours. Fairly priced and it turned out great. I got a formal dress altered with Path and she is amazing. She shortened all three layers of a very full skirt, fixed the beading on the top of my dress, and fixed some thread that was caught in the zipper. She was fast, the quality was great, and the price was very good for how much work it must have been. I highly recommend. read more

This establishment is in a home where the seamstress does all of her work. I had my bridesmaids dress hemmed and she was able to finish it in 24 hours and it looked amazing. She did not skimp on quality which I have encountered with past establishments. She is cash-only so make sure that you have cash when you go to pick up your items. I am not sure how much it usually costs to get a dress hemmed but it cost me $40 which I thought was a bit pricy but as I mentioned, I do not have knowledge about hemming prices. I have never seen such lousy tailoring work. I dropped off 2 items: a brand new raincoat that needed the sleeves shortened, and a pair of pants that needed the waist taken in. Today when I picked the items up, I noticed the sleeve edges of the raincoat had colored chalk marks all the way around (yellow chalk on a tan coat). I was told "oh, this will come out in the wash...I use this to keep the hem straight". This is a freaking brand new coat! Also, the seam sticking was uneven and had double thread "run over" in a few places that I asked her to remove). This business is located in a neighborhood home, and today when I picked up my items, the house reeked of onions and garlic, and of course so do my clothes, necessitating a trip to a dry cleaner to remove the odor. I was also told my coat would be steamed to remove any wrinkles, but at pick-up told "I don't have a steamer". I haven't yet tried on the pants to see if they were properly altered. The cost for each item:$20 ($40 total). Stupid me for trying to give a home based taylor my business. Stay away. read more

Had a suit coat requiring alterations and could not be more pleased with the results. I told Path there was no rush (wedding in April), but still had the coat back in a week. Excellent workmanship and very reasonable pricing. I recommend Path without reservation. read more
