i got a pedicure today and my lady that did my pedi was amazing , I trust her . she's great

DO NOT GET A PEDICURE HERE !!! me and my friend went and got a pedicure and the lady destroyed our big toes. Mine was bleeding and sore, kept saying OW and the lady just laughed.. after applying polysporin for four days and it getting worse not better I went to the doctor and it was infected.. same thing happened to my friend but her toenail ended up falling off.. not happy at all. read more

My first time coming to the salon I just asked for a toenail gel polish change, it was the worst experience the nail polish chipped in 3 days I decided to take off the nail polish because it looked terrible and I realized they destroyed my toe nails and now they are very thin and the worker that painted toes refused to put base coat on my toes and didn't clean before painting, I wouldn't recommend coming here you will get your nails very thin and brittle! read more

I had an appointment booked for 10:30. I got there at 10:25, and waited about 10 minutes and there was nobody in the front. so I walked a bit in the back where there was some people who were doing pedicures. One lady looked at me and asked how she can help me. I told her I had an appt at 10:30. She didn't say one word to me, just looked at her watch, so I just figured she was running behind. So I went back to the front and sat in a chair. At 10:47, the same woman came up to the front, walked around for a bit, went to the back counter, then walked right by me, sat in a chair and was texting on her phone. It was now 10:55 and still nobody had said one word to me. Then her and another lady went to the counter. I asked what was going on. Then she said they were trying to figure something out. Then she said they were booked at 11. I told them my name was on the paper at 10:30, that I had been sitting there for almost 45 minutes and nobody had said one word to me. She then asked me to come back at noon. Then she said someone didn't show up. I asked then why didn't they let me know that when I came in. I asked why do people make appointments or communicate there was a booking issue instead of just letting me sit there for 45 minutes. They just looked at me, so I said that I would take my business elsewhere. Not one apology, not hardly a word. I will never go back and will let everyone know how horrible there customer service is, they really don't care. read more

I went and got my nails done here yesterday and have gone here for a long time, but over time they are just getting disgusting. The cuticle cutters that were used on my nails were used on someone else then quickly sprayed with alcohol and used on me. I didn't say something until after my appointment and reported them to Alberta Health Services. Disgusting. read more

First I want to say the people at this nail salon were wonderful!! they were so nice and made my experience more bearable. BUT....this was the dirtiest salon I have even been in. They seriously need to up their cleanliness before someone gets ill!! Their basins were smelly did not drain properly, there was a broken light in the bottom of my basin and the hot towels had a funky smell that was not good! AND their tools were not bagged or in any sort of packaging. It can't be long before this place is shut down. So sad because the people are so nice! read more

I went to get a mani and pedi. When I first arrived the girls didn't seem interested in actually working but they say me down in the chair anyhow. They started me off with the pedicure. It was terrible. Just terrible. I had to confirm that they actually sterilized their tools. But I witnessed them near the end putting the used tools back into their carrying case. They may be sterilized but packing them around on a dirty case is unacceptable. The girl doing my pedicure really didn't seem like she knew what she was doing and I had to ask for things that should have been standard like a base coat. Also she was going to paint the base the cost over top of the lotion she had just put on. This is so simple but when you pay this much for a pedi and if it's not done right the polish will chip right away. I have gotten pedicures once a month for the past 10 years and this was by far the worst. Being new to Lethbridge it is proving difficult to find nail technician who actually does a good job for a reasonable amount. I wouldn't recommend this salon for anything. If there was a zero star option I would pick it. Worst nail experience of my life and I am a pleasant and low maintence person. The lady (who seems to be the manager) who was doing my nails was on the phone the entire time and didn't seem to be paying much attention to what she was doing at all. She finished my pedicure and I tipped 15% because regardless of how bad the pedicure was, i feel strongly about tipping to services like this. That evening every single one of my nails nail polish came off. While I was in the salon I specifically asked the girls if it was shelac/gel polish, they assured me it was. It was not, it was normal nail polish and they charged me for gel and since it was normal polish it peeled right off. I also had a crack in my heel that was completely healed and closed, when I got home after they hacked away at my heels, the crack came open and was bleeding all night. I returned the next day and was very kind and honest. One girl was really nice and explained to me they would be happy to fix it, I had an appointment and didn't have time for them or fix it so I asked for a refund, when I said this the manager came over and practically yelled at me. She told me I probably took too long of a shower which is why the polish came off, she also said the crack was already there and open which it wasn't. I was pleasant and kind the whole time and she was raising her voice at me and telling me it was my fault essentially. In the end she gave me 5 dollars back "for the polish". This was less then I left for a tip. I will NEVER go there again and I am telling literally everyone I know never to go there. Save yourself the money. read more

I was visiting Lethbridge for a family wedding and went to Professionail in a Lethbridge mall to have my nails done and eyebrows waxed. I have NEVER, EVER been in a dirtier nail salon! I was absolutely disgusted. Despite some of the ladies who worked there sitting around and gabbing, nobody was lifting a finger to clean anything, and obviously hadn't done so in months at least - it was so bad I didn't want to touch anything. I was 'upsold' on the gel colour that lasted a full 2 days and ended up having to go back for a touchup before the wedding. The day after, the polish peeled off. I would never recommend this place to anybody and if I could figure out the governing body to launch a formal complaint, would definitely do so. read more

Just went here for my first time, Iv had my nails done a lot, just never from here. I talked to two girls right away and explained that I just wanted a gel overlay on my natural nails, no tips, I pointed out a couple nails are shorter than the rest and asked if it was a good idea to put tips on just the shorter ones?, the lady said no that would look funny because they would look a lot different. So I said ok I don't mind if their shorter than the others. A completely diff lady started my nails and she kept insisting on putting all white tips on, I told her I didn't want tips at all so if my nails are too short for gel overlay lets just do a polish, well she couldn't understand me and kept explaining why I need tips cuz they won't look nice unless they're long nails, at this point I just kept repeating I didn't want tips on so let's figure out what else we can do but she just stopped talking at that point and started doing the gel overlay. After I asked how she was and got no response, there was a 20 mins awkward silence, and she started talking about me in Vietnamese to the other ladies, and they all looked at me. It was silent the rest of the appointment. What dissapointed me the most was that there was an employee working on another customer right next to us whom I heard speak both Vietnamese and English, why did she not help with the communication? In the end my nails do look nice, but just based on my experience, I would never, ever return. Iv never had a nail experience in the past where I felt like they were talking about me in Vietnamese, now I know what it feels like. read more
