Guys, seriously don't take Brian K's review to heart at ALL. The staff at Catwalk are welcoming, experienced, and top notch quality professionals. They have a fun, yet relaxing atmosphere, and my new haircut is fantastic! If you're looking for a new place to go, then you need not look any further. Read on if you want more info about MY experience... I'm one of those people who wants a haircut spontaneously, but I also only prefer to go to stylists who take extra training to keep up with trends, and KNOW how to cut and color hair properly. I live in a small town where no one has any idea on how to cut textured layers, which I need to volumize my hair. Lethbridge is an hour away, so I looked around online since I didn't know which were the good salons there. Catwalk's website drew me in first. They have staff bios on the site, listing their training, experience, and even some interesting personal & professional tidbits that they share with potential clients. I thought, for a hair salon / spa go to these lengths (no pun intended hehe) to make people feel welcome on their website, imagine how it must be to actually go there? I couldn't have been more accurate in that assessment. First, they were able to fit me in the very next day, which is good for a "I need a haircut NOW" kinda person like me. I was a little timid about going into a place I didn't know, but that feeling literally vanished about 10 seconds after walking in the door. Brian K. was ONLY right about the receptionist... she was amazing! Very welcoming, and she literally brought me one of the best cups of coffee I've had in a long time! The two owners were both there working (a good sign for a higher end salon!), and all smiles. (I mentioned to Levi, one of the owners, that their website was a winner, and he literally beamed with pride!) Lindsay, my stylist, and I hit it off right away. She did an exceptional cut and style, and was a lot of fun to have working on my hair. She really listened to what I wanted, knew exactly what I was looking for, and cut it to perfection. The other staff wandering by would stop and visit and laugh with us like I had been going there for years, and yet Lindsay never lost focus on what she was doing with my hair. A lot of higher end salons can be full of snobbery and elitist attitudes. Here, I felt like I was in the house of a big family, even made to feel like I was a part of that family, which was a very pleasurable bonus. The salon / spa itself had a fabulous decor; tastefully decorated with warm colors, well maintained and very clean. The price was decent for a higher end salon ($45) and I walked out of there thoroughly impressed. Trust a woman who has been going to high end salons for years, with thin fine hair that is hard to work with... if you want a good experience, and a great cut, by a group of welcoming and top notch people, then save yourself the hours of browsing I did and just GO to Catwalk! read more

Had my appointment less the a week ago and I am thrilled with the results. My stylist/owner Levi was amazing!!! I have very long wavy/curly hair and needed help. I have had many stylist over the years, but not a one knew how to properly cut curly. Levi took charge and was generally excited to work with me. His attention to detail and vision for my hair was expert. He made me feel I could trust the process after so many past bad cuts, he explained the procedure of the cut and why it works. In the end I felt reassured that I finally found a stylist who understood my hair and all it's wild ways. He achieved an amazing cut/style, that I love. Every day is a good hair day now. Thank you so much. I highly recommend anyone struggling as I was to find someone to help you love your curls again to reach out to Levi at the Catwalk. You will love the experience of working with someone very knowledgeable about all the different types of curly. P.S. I love their products, my hair feels clean and light. No heavy residue, I honestly can't believe I can achieve rich curls with less product in my hair. That also tells me that the cut I received enhanced my curls. Amazing experience all around. read more

Also contrary to the previous review, I've had wonderful experiences with Catwalk Salon - namely, "Stephanie". She's got a fun personality, always makes me feel at ease and I always walk out with fabulous hair. She takes the time to listen to what I want, is gentle and very friendly. She is an exceptional hair stylist. I've been seeing Stephanie for years and am always recommending her and sending her new clients. As for Catwalk Salon in general, the cost is very reasonable, the time and work that the employees put into their clients is above and beyond what most salons offer and everyone is extremely welcoming and kind. read more

Catwalk has done my hair for years now, styling, cutting, colouring. And I love it there so much I get regular pedacures now. The rooms, atmosphere and vibe are the best in town. I constantly get compliments on my hair. They take hair colouring seriously, like a fine art form to them. With my hair being their canvas, I always leave feeling like a better version of myself. And the staff are do freindly, I couldn't even imagine having anyone else touch my hair. read more

Do not go here if you wish to have nice nails. The place was very messy, and the door to the back was open and it was a complete disaster back there. They had 2 pedicure stations which were awful.. the person doing my nails brought a plastic bin of luke-warm water for me to place my feet in (basically tupperware), the chairs have this gimpy little massage mat placed on it which didn't even feel nice. Usually when I go for pedicures they scrub, massage, file the nails, clip them if needed... none of this was done. All that was done was i got lotion put on and the polish. After my tupperware bin of water was done the girl simply just went in the back and set it on the floor ... The manicure was by far the worst part, I was telling her how my nails really needed some work, some are short and broken and some were long.. most manicure places would clip the longs ones, file them down to make them even right? nope not this place.. again just received lotion and a very bad polish coating .. as you can see in the picture.. The staff were very unprofessional as the lady that I had kept talking about how her ex boyfriend was a "dick" and laughing at other customers conversations. Overall, very bad experience .. will not be going here again even though i still have a free manicure, pedicure and wax. no way.
