1 Star Very disappointing experience with Prodigy Pest Solutions. I previously requested cancellation of my pest control service by phone, but later was told that because I did not have written documentation of that cancellation, they would not recognize it. I was then presented with a $144 balance. Even though I disagreed with the charge, I eventually offered to pay the $144 simply to resolve the matter. I asked for one very reasonable thing before making the payment: written confirmation that the payment would settle the account in full, that my service would be permanently cancelled, and that I would receive no additional charges. Instead of promptly providing that confirmation, the matter continued, and another $5 fee was added, bringing the balance to $149. This is exactly why consumers need to be extremely careful when entering into service agreements. Make sure you understand the cancellation requirements, put every cancellation request in writing, keep copies of everything, and obtain written confirmation that your account has actually been closed. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Prodigy Pest Solutions. A customer who is actively trying to resolve and close an account should not have to worry about additional fees accumulating while waiting for the company to provide written confirmation. read more

Avoid this company at ALL costs. Please read. I attempted to cancel my pest control service multiple times with the original company via phone and email while I was still living at the residence. No one answered calls. No one responded to emails. Cancellation was effectively made impossible. In early February 2025, I sent two written emails clearly requesting cancellation, explicitly stating that I had already been trying to cancel for two months without any response. I never received a reply or confirmation.. yet the billing continued anyway. My lease ended in early April 2025. Shortly prior, on March 28, 2025, I was involved in a serious car accident and was hospitalized for about a month, followed by rehabilitation where I literally could not walk. While I was hospitalized and in rehab, this company sent an email on April 28, 2025 claiming they had acquired the original company and continued billing me for services at a property I no longer lived at and had already tried repeatedly to cancel. They now insist (in January 2026) I owe money because they "sent an email," even though I had already canceled months earlier and was medically incapacitated at the time. When I finally spoke with them and provided written proof of my cancellation attempts, they refused to honor it and tried to distance themselves from the original company.. despite having acquired the account and its history. This is not a customer service issue. This is a billing and ethics issue. If you sign up with this company: -Be prepared to fight to cancel -Document everything -Expect silence when you try to stop service -Expect continued billing after cancellation I would STRONGLY discourage anyone from using a company that ignores cancellation requests, bills for unauthorized services, and attempts to hold customers financially responsible under circumstances like these. There are plenty of pest control companies that operate transparently and ethically. This is not one of them. read more

Incredibly unprofessional sales tactics. I had a door to door sales person show up at 8pm ringing my doorbell as I was trying to put my kids to sleep. After I answered and let him know we were not interested, he continued on to try to sell me on your service, then asked me if he could have something to eat because he wasn't given time for lunch. One: do not send people door to door at this time of day. You're going to irritate a lot of parents. I'll frankly never consider your service with that approach. It tells me you don't care. Two: teach your team how to interact with potential customers. Not a good look for your company based on our interaction. Three: figure out a way to feed the people on your team or give them the time for a meal. I'd be embarrassed if anyone who worked for me didn't have access to the time and ability to have a proper lunch. read more

A few months ago, I contacted Prodigy to schedule an appointment and was offered a special deal on their services. I requested the details in writing for review but never signed any agreement or quote. Due to emergency surgery, I informed their office that I couldn't proceed with the deal. Despite this, a technician was sent, performed the work, and I paid the bill as invoiced. Months later, I received a call from Rob, who stated that I'd be charged a $150 cancellation fee unless I proceeded with the original deal. I explained that I never agreed to the deal and couldn't afford it due to surgery costs. Prodigy failed to provide a revised quote reflecting their regular pricing after I declined the deal, yet still sent a technician based on the original quote. This was their error. Despite this, Rob sent an invoice for $150. I've contacted my bank and plan to report this to the Better Business Bureau. read more

I was treated with ZERO respect. After an email exchange regarding pricing with their office manager, I was told "Thank you for your interest in working with us. After careful consideration, we've decided that we're not the best fit for your needs at this time and will be unable to provide services for you." I do believe they meant that backward. I simply asked about their service pricing. I was told they had 'monthly service with mosquito and bi-monthly service'. Upon further inquiry and after the price given for the mosquito service, I tried to find out what their plain pest control service would cost. Apparently, my shock and comment about their mosquito service offended Mr. office manager. I asked for the regular rate of service and said the $xxx per month for the mosquito service was insane unless it guaranteed I would be mosquito free. I got this reply: "With all pest control there isn't a guarantee of no bugs, unless there's a dome over your home. Bugs exist, like I said we can help decrease the mosquito activity. It won't be 100% gone, but you will have a noticeable difference." Still no answer to my regular pest control cost question. I replied that I was being facetious and he must have missed my question that I did not repeat to which I received the answer "Yes, you were correct in your last email" which confused me. There were a couple more emails that got me no closer to the answer of 'plain pest control' and somewhere in these emails came the 'not a good fit' response. I then asked once more and I quote: "So, your service for regular household pests, not including mosquito fogging is $xxx/mo? Just so I have this correct....you only offer pest services that also cover mosquitoes? So, your lowest service price is $xxx/month? Thank you in advance for your reply....I will not bother you, personally again if I get the answers....just simple questions that need simple answers of yes/no. Feel free to answer them following the questions I have stated above." {In the above quote, I emphasize that I change the true price as to not divulge it but the $xxx/mo was the same $xxx/mo as the mosquito protection.} This is the response I received and I quote: " Thank you for reaching out. As mentioned previously, we've decided not to move forward with providing the service. We won't be able to answer further questions or provide quotes. We wish you the best in finding a provider that meets your needs." Now you tell me what kind of business does this? Just simply answering the question would be the right thing to do. I am incensed. Not that I would use their service now if they offered it for free, but the very idea they treated me this way should make anyone thinking of hiring them leery. When you attempt to cancel you think all is fine and the you will get a bill SIX months after you talk to someone that says you are fine to cancel and have met obligations. I have been using this company for years. They come out every other month for bug prevention and once per year for termite prevention. Never seen a single bug in my house or really even in my yard. No spider webs in the morning or any pests whatsoever. One time I had a little wasp nest pop up on the side of the house, and they came right out to get rid of it, no additional charge. Once the trash people didn't pick up and some flies swarmed out of the cans and whatever poison they put around the house killed them nearly instantly. There was a line of dead flies along the outside of the garage! One bill I don't mind paying. read more

Not a review of their service since we use another pest control company but this is a post about their attempts at acquiring new business. Yesterday a man on a Segway type device entered our gated development with a clear No Solicitation policy. When told by us and several neighbors that he needed to leave, he just went to the next house. Refused to present any ID or proof of who he was. It was after 7 pm. We live in a gated community...he couldn't drive in so this Segway device was his only way on or walk in. There are many other ways to solicit business, this isn't one of them. read more

Prodigy Pest is an excellent pest control service. One of my biggest fears in this life is spiders, and they spray my new home with a special spidercide to ease my worries. Their website is clean and user-friendly and lets you see your next service in advance. Whenever I call, the representative on the other end is polite and professional. The best part about Prodigy though is that they will service your property IN BETWEEN official service dates if you notice the horrible spiders coming back. For instance, I noticed an increase in spiders and their egg sacks on my lanai today (Wednesday). I called this afternoon and found out my next official service date is not until August. The representative added my house to the schedule and I am now scheduled for spider-killing this Friday, which is just two days away. I corrected stars, because they took off their claim from a collection service after there was investigated that the sales person falsified my signature on the contract, and I opened a claim at the police office. That sales person gave me a promises to take off 90% of spider eggs that another employees didn't reach at least on 50%. They weren't finished this job. I have been using Prodigy Pest Solutions for about 2 years. Chad explained the entire process and his services and signed us up. The team has been friendly and does a great job and our pests are virtually non-existent. They are responsive when there are issues and contact your back within a few minutes. I hired prodigy when I bought my home. Mainly because they were the first responder. I had rodents in my attic where the house had been vacant. I paid to have holes patched in attic ,traps inside and out to catch the tree rats. I requested pictures of what was done for $650 ,no pictures were taken of the attic work supposedly completed. the traps used were glue and about half the size of the rodents finally . They changed trap sz and style 4 times ..I still have activity in my attic. I paid $150 11/3 for the house extermination for bugs and spiders. I was told they would clear any spider webs in the lanai and spray ext and interior. It took the technician 15 min to complete. I believe I have had nearly everyone in company attempt to resolve the attic rodents and the only one that knew what he was doing was Joe and he was removed . They now have time limit on the services whether they have done a good job or not. Then they had audacity to bill my credit card again Dec 9 for a quarterly fee for a service they are obviously lacking in. I was not aware of this until our security denied entry to the technicians after I signed up for the service. I got permission for the tech to come and perform the service, only to have spiders rebuilding webs less than 24 hours after the service. Do not use this company. We've had to have them come out multiple times between our quarterly services and have continued to see pests in our home. I understand the pests may not be gone the next day after treatment, but we've continued to see them for days after. They have a satisfaction guarantee on their contracts where if they have to come out twice in between quarterly treatments you get a credit on your account. Instead of getting a credit I just wanted to get our contract cancelled & the cancelation fee waived due to continuous pests being seen inside my home & they would not honor it since I only had two treatments left. I paid the $150 to cancel and called it a day. Smh. Many families in our neighborhood have switched from prodigy to other pest control services due to the same issues. Save yourself the headache and find a different pest control company. My recommendation is don't sign up with anyone who requires a contract & has a cancellation fee.
