Sam made a prompt reasonable price quote on the spot and was able to schedule the work for the following day, a Friday, allowing for completion on Saturday if necessary so we would have minimal downtime. When the job was completed on Friday, the house was brought up to modern plumbing codes with a completely new poly supply line with appropriate cutoff valves, copper trace line, replaced leaking appliance valves and final complete system pressure test. While Aaron concentrated on chasing leaks inside the attic and each gas appliance connection, Sam focused on the outside supply line. Working in a carefully coordinated fashion these pros rebuilt a faulty old gas supply system then carefully covered and tamped the the ditches and carefully raked the yard level as if it were their own home! We had a sewer drain issue that my 50ft manual feed snake would not clear. Since purchasing the…read morehouse 32 years ago the only cleanout I knew of was 2" cast iron outside wall at the origin point of the drain system at the kitchen. I talked with several plumbing companies, most them wanted to re-attempt snaking, which I had already done twice with no result. If that didn't work then they would use the hydro jet high-pressure washer to attempt to clear. Our house being 60+ years old I did not want to risk the hydro-jetting, which could severely damage the piping under the slab, until the line was cleared. What I really needed was to know if I had a cleanout on the main sewer line where it exits the house and those companies wanted a additional large sum of money to use a camera with a locating sensor only after the line was cleared and flowing. We had used Mr Rooter in the past (before purchasing the 50' snake machine) so I called and asked them to have their most experienced tech call me. Albert called me back, he actually still had me as a contact in his phone after many years, and we discussed the situation and decided on a plan. Albert came out and used his camera and locator from the main roof vent to locate the blockage and where the main line exited the house. They tried the longest snake machine they could lift on the roof but it would not reach the blockage. Since they could not clear the blockage Albert said there was a 30 day warranty on the callout and that if I could find the existing cleanout or dig the line out and install one, he would come back and re-run the snake from there and clear it. I found the cleanout and Albert came back, ran the snake and cleared the blockage and ran his camera thru the lines to make sure it was clear and had no damage or remaining issues. Albert is very knowledgeable and friendly, explained things well and is a very skilled camera technician, the charges were reasonable and fair. Overall a fantastic experience and will continue to use Mr Rooter if problems arise again!

As a proud Texan who has served and worn my uniform proudly, I value honesty and fairness above all else. When I booked their services, I had no idea that they were over an hour away. When we did a google search for Hereford this company showed up as if they were local. We had a overpowering sewer stench in the building only that added to our sense of urgency. In my desperation to take care of my employees, I unknowingly booked Scottco while my wife had already booked another company. As a small company with only two employees, the $420 trip charge was quite devastating for us. I believe in compensating others for their time and would never want to take advantage of anyone. I understand that mistakes happen, and I am willing to pay a fair amount for the services rendered. However, I was taken aback when I was told that the original charge was almost $600 as if I needed to be happy with the current. I believe in dealing with companies that operate with integrity and put their heart into their operations. I own up to my mistake and am willing to pay what is fair.
