My car has required a new muffler/resonator for some time now and I have been putting it off for a…read morewhile, in some small part because I didn't know who to go to get it fixed in PG...I've had a number of negative experiences with mechanics in town who are condescending, impatient, and are not thorough in their explanation to me of their assessment of what needs to be repaired on my car....I chalked it up to them treating me as such because I am a woman. So I was pleasantly surprised when Bill Papp, owner of Minute Muffler and Brake not only quoted me $140 LESS than the competition for the same service he also explained clearly to me the work that needed to be completed on my car. He also helped me locate a PCV valve from the autowrecker (only $15 vis-a-vis a new part that would have been more than $130) and he put it in my car "gratis"....Importantly, he treated me like a human being and a customer he valued and respected, from my experience a rare treat for a woman seeking auto repairs in PG. Thanks Bill! My only slight suggestion/the reason I did not make the review a full 5/5 stars is that I think it would have been valuable to have had a more thorough look through my entire exhaust system....that may have shown that the PCV valve change was what was needing to be changed to meet my immediate need (the smell of exhaust in the cab of my car) vis-a-vis the exhaust/resonator change (the much more expensive fix that I may have been able to put off a little longer)...but nevertheless it did need to be changed. So impressed by the service that husband brought his Prius in for new brakes, and now both cars ride and drive well, feels extra safe!
