Asked for a simple quote for a timing belt and water pump. I normally would do it myself. But. I am too busy with work as a Master ASE mechanic of 20 years. I asked why they needed to see my vehicle for a quote. They were extremely rude and as you can see insulted me. Stay away from this shop. Any decent shop can give you a quote over the phone. When you get the work done. You sign a estimate stating anything else found could be more money etc. I used to run a side shop on Nextdoor for fun on my days off. I always have a quote over the phone for maintenance items. Anything else. The customer had to see me. I took it to Acura of Beaverton. They gave me a quote over the phone and I had it done the next day. Price did not increase and they found no problems. See my 4 star review I left for them...

The people at Pro Tech worked on my son's engine and did a great job. I would highly recommend them.

The free tire rotations, checking your air filling it up claiming warranties is a piece of cake. I don't think I've ever driven a warranty. I've always gotten something back on my tires. This last time I went in, I was disappointed in the staff. The guy who helped me out, didn't seem very interested in helping me get the right tire. He just wanted the sale. He had the most expensive tires I think up on the screen for me and I had to say is that it and then we found some that probably were $200 to 250 less. The thing that really set me off, or was a downer, is he slipped in the certificates which is kind of like a extended warranty for the tires. He never told me about it just gave me a quote for the tires and have them ordered so I can come back to get them installed. I asked them for a printout of so I can see what the tires were when I came back, and that's when I saw he slipped in those certificates which was about $47 per tire. Seemed sleazy to me and a bad business practice. They didn't do a very good job of disclosing this, actually they did nothing to disclose that they were putting that on my bill. When I came in to get the tires put on another person helped me, I'll give her the doubt, but when she swung the screen around for me to pay, she didn't even talk about the certificates is what they call him. So I just think there's probably some good commission there for him and that's why they slip them in and not tell you. I might be wrong, that's just my Impression So if you go here, watch out for someone slipping in that extra warranty referred to as certificate.

After a few hours they called and went over the couple issues they had found and should be replaced which they were very nice and helpful. They found that one control arm had some play in it and should be replaced, the brake vacuum was bad, and one of the window switches auto up didn't work. After taking this to the dealer they fixed the issue and all was well. After driving 100 miles back home we noticed the car didn't handle any bumps or turns very well. We took it to a local mechanic where they found the following wrong with it- Self leveling shock system (air bags and shocks) torn and blown out- $1500 Compressor for shocks burnt out and hasn't been operational for a long time- $1000 Upper passenger control arm causing stability issues and creaking (needs replaced and alignment)- $950 We paid $199 to have them check the important components of a car before buying. Now we are stuck with a bill totaling over $3000 on a vehicle with less than 150 miles from us driving it. Do not take your car here for pre-purchase inspections. These are all common failure points for this vehicle with this many miles as confirmed with multiple other trusted local mechanics in our area. The least they could do is refund this inspection fee to help cover the cost of repairs of a car we wouldn't have bought in the first place if due diligence was done as we trusted it would be.

I was just in the other day (Nov 2023) to buy new tires. Canby is a small town so it's important to take care of the locals - people who support your small business! Quality is less than stellar. Value - very high prices compared to other local tire stores... but there's more! From the moment I rolled into Point S Tire Store, the service was deflating. I was greeted not with a smile, but with a frown that seemed to foreshadow the bumpy ride ahead. I came in hopeful, ready to equip my car with the best tires for the season. Instead, I was presented with a set that was as mismatched to my car as a square peg to a round hole. The staff, while not outright rude, had an air of disinterest that could chill the rubber on a hot summer day. Their expertise seemed to be running on empty, as they assured me the tires were a perfect fit. NO! I know what tires are supposed to be on my car and they did not sell the correct tires. This can be a deadly mistake. And the prices? Sky-high. I expected premium service and products for the premium cost, but what I received was a premium headache. It's clear that Point S Tire Store needs to pump up their customer service, realign their expertise, and deflate their prices to stand a chance at a better review in the future. In a market that's rolling with options, Point S Tire Store unfortunately falls flat. I cannot recommend them, and I'll be steering clear in the future. I would give them negative 5 stars if I could. I can't recommend this business any more. Time to find a new
