He's super sweet, takes direction and doesn't have an ego. He literally will do what you want, so when you say you want to trim for dead ends but keep the length he will do that. He'll go section by section and cut only the split ends. If you tell him you're not happy with how thick the highlights turned out, he'll reschedule and redo it, with lowlights to blend it without charging you extra and give you a moisturizing treatment for having to come back. If you mess up your kid's bangs during lockdown, he'll go over them 15+ passes micro-cutting until you're satisfied. He's slow (each appointment will take like 5 hrs for color and cut) but that's because he's so meticulous. He's also super inexpensive for the products that he uses (very high end Schwarzkopf) and the time and effort he puts in. For my highlights, cut, and subsequent correction and deep conditioning treatment because I wasn't happy initially with the highlights, he charged me $155! For my daughter's cut he charged me $20. I tipped him well because each session was over 5+ hrs long and he deserves it for the work he puts in. Her hair was well done by her usual stylist who was busy at the time which is why she chose House of Beauty to begin with. Since the appointment (which was in November), her hair has broken off big time, thinned, and lost definition. Although it has only been 3 months, it took extensive effort, and copious amounts of out-of-pocket money to get back to MAYBE 25% of where she was before, definitely more money than the near $700 she paid for a TOUCH UP. Before my appointment, my hair was healthy, long, and well‑maintained. I have photos showing its condition immediately prior to the service. I also have photos of the clumps of hair that began falling out afterward--including breakage at the crown, bangs, and mid‑shaft--which is consistent with chemical overprocessing, not normal shedding. The owner's public response claims my hair was "severely damaged" when I arrived. That is not accurate. No strand test was performed, no documentation of pre‑existing damage was taken, and no concerns were raised during the consultation. If my hair had truly been in the condition she now describes, a responsible professional would have refused to apply multiple rounds of bleach and chemical processes. She also questioned whether I washed or cared for my hair properly afterward. This contradicts her own instructions during the appointment, where she told me not to wash frequently because natural oils help maintain color. I followed those instructions and still experienced significant breakage. I have receipts for the professional products I purchased afterward -- including K18 and other treatments which have already cost more than the original service.
