VIP dances are regularly a rip off. They do fragment of songs, not entire songs. This results in the guest being ripped off by the dancer. Some dancers don't work the room. I tipped the same dancer on stage two different times, he never paid a visit to me after his dances on stage. This is highly unusual. He literally spent his free time hanging with friends. Two dancers on my last visit spent the night hanging on one guest. As a former Swinging Richard's patron for well over a decade or two, these practices are exactly what led to its demise. I have visited Johnson's twice, and will never waste or allow Johnson's dancers to waste my time, and rip me off again. Save your time, and money, and stay home and watch porn.

I've been to many gay establishments from Portland ME to San Francisco, CA. Upon arrival at 11:00pm the building looked dilapidated. The parking lot was dirt and the arrival experience gave an impression of being an unsafe area. The doormen we're welcoming and cordial. The bar tender was very nice too. Our Drag Show experience was constantly interrupted by a belligerent extremely intoxicated female patron as you can see below in the screen shot. She should have been escorted from the club and kicked to the curb. She was interrupting the show and harassing patrons to the point that we left 15 minutes after the show started. I understand it's a small club. It is what it is and serves the gay community in Lakeland, FL. Would I return? Possibly. Only if you put a muzzle on the belligerent drunk with the trucker mouth.

My Dad ordered a drink and the bartender made fun of him for the drink order and said they don't call them that. Ok, whatever, no big deal. We sat at the bar had more people join our group. We were ignored after our first drinks were served. We weren't drinking anything fancy or time consuming. We weren't able to get another drink. The male bartender was only interested in serving you if you want to buy a lot of shots. So he could stand on a step stool dance around and pour them like he was in coyote ugly. Such a disappointment. The music was good although loud but good. The vibe until the bartender had a meltdown and started throwing a tantrum with another patron was enjoyable. Who screams and yells at a person for asking for a beverage when you are in fact there to serve them beverages!? Hopefully but doubtful they will make a change.
