I have been to this gym three times and each time I try and snap photos for my fellow yelpers it doesn't seem to be a good idea. So here goes a detailed review for y'all PROS- a lot more room to mover around! Nice weigh benches and so many squat racks! Nice weight room! Upstairs has a decent amount of cardio machines. Also a smoothie station, and "healthy" snack area. Cons- no sauna. A lot of room taken up up status by the batting cages. Children and parents wonder sound the middle of the upstairs while you attempt to work out. Also a lot of room for the astro turf. This is the big claim to fame. Not as many things to do leg wise as the sun crest location I mean they have some leg stuff. I suppose they make up for it with a lot of squat racks. If you are a serious bodybuilder than you will feel at home with the space they have for you . A good place for cardio bunnies as well:-) three solid stars means when I want a good pump and want room I will wonder my way to this place. Pro Performance Rx - Front of the gym - Gyms Near Me - Morgantown, West Virginia

This small chain of gyms apparently use to be the gold standard in the community at one time, but unfortunately falls flat now. While it is technically a gym location(s), it lacks a lot of stuff that would justify the monthly price tag now. The facility hours at the two locations that aren't open 24/7 make it hard to get to if one has a job, leaving only one of the three locations as a viable option most of the time. The equipment there is outdated when compared to the WVU recreation center or other gyms in the area and it lacks a lot of critical machines for most programming today and the machines they do have appear to be severely worn or they may only have one or very few which can cause a wait when trying to workout. Additionally, the bathrooms were always dirty at the location that is open 24hrs, and the Mylan park location upstairs area reeked of vomit. The icing on the cake is due to these reasons I called and canceled my monthly membership. Unfortunately, due to poor employee practice they apparently never sent or told me of the cancellation form that I would have to fill out to technically cancel my membership. So they continued to charge me for three months apparently and I didn't even know about it until they turned me into collections! I tried contacting the managers and after waiting weeks, someone finally responded to me and said there is nothing they could do despite their employees never canceling my account or sending me their cancellation form. Very sad for a gym with such a presence in the community to fall so flat and have so little intelligence. Would not recommend anyone spend their money here. read more

This place is probably the best gym in the country. If there is another gym this good I'd like to see it. The downstairs features a "hardcore" weight room complete with 4 heavy duty power racks, 4 olympic lifting platforms, 2 glute-ham raise machines and 2 reverse hypers. Dumbells go up to 180. Plenty of bands and chains. Complete circuit of Hammer Strength machines. The best part is the atmosphere. Everyone is here to workout, not socialize. You won't see any idiots doing curls in the squat rack here. The upstairs features a "fitness" area complete with a power rack, dumbells, and plenty of machines. The cardio area is up here as well with plenty of treadmills, bikes, and ellipticals. Next to the fitness area is a batting cage area and also en "explosion room" with plenty of equipment for pylometrics and also plenty of room for stretching. Attached is a huge indoor turf facility. Year-round sports leagues use this field. There is a storage shed in the turf field with every bit of strongman equipment you could ever use; sleds, a prowler, torpedoes for farmer's walk etc..... Again, this is the best commercial gym I've seen anywhere in the country. read more

Great gym, 3 locations! Each has something diff to offer, very polite staff. Reasonable rates, 24 hour facility. Kept clean and welcoming. By far best gym in Morgantown. I am from out of state and this gym is my choice to use while away from home! read more

I am talking about the Suncrest location -It is very nice but a couple things arn't up to par with other gyms -their wifi is too slow for that many people -They only have one decline bench and its dangerous , maybe they can add a machine it would help if those arnt a problem for you then its a 5 out of 5- if they change this I will give 5 of 5 read more

This gym is nice and has everything you will need. I also love the fact that you can pay month to month and you're not stuck with yearly dues. Overall the staff is friendly and nice and the facility is first rate. However, don't expect to use the gym on weekends. Pro Performance always has some type of tournament on the turf on the weekends and kids pack this gym so tight you can't get within 10 feet of a machine. Most of the time the kids are actually on the machines themselves. In addition, if you try to go to this gym during the week in the afternoon be careful of all the baseball players upstairs. I actually saw a couple of them swinging their bats outside of the cages in the gym area. Someone is going to get hurt up there. I would recommend using this gym in the morning from 9-12 if you can manage that. read more
