Sergio is smart, honest, hard working, a good problem solver, and really listened to us about what we wanted, even when we changed our minds about details along the way. His team did fantastic work, and he took care of all of the aspects of the construction for us (plumber, electrician, tile work, glass work, painting, etc). All of his employees were trustworthy and considerate. The scope of the project was converting our second floor into 3 rooms plus a bathroom. Sergio did a great job of offering good ideas for layout, materials, etc, but also being very responsive to our ideas and feedback. He stayed in regular contact throughout the whole job, stopping by regularly, and finished the work very close to the original timeline (he said around 2 months, and it might've been 2.5 months, but we also added on a couple little things to the project). Victor's team are all highly skilled and take pride in their work. They demolished the old porch, removed all debris, and built us a brand new one. They fixed the siding the old one had messed up. They replaced the gutters with new ones. They patched up the newly-exposed part of the chimney. Every last detail. I also didn't have to hassle Victor to get a permit; he just did it. Which is such a baseline expectation it shouldn't make him stand out amongst his competition. Sadly, it very much does. Whenever you take on a home remodeling project like this, you have a picture in your mind of what you want. For this project, we had really specific ideas, a mix of old and new, materials and techniques. Which is normal. And it never turns out that way. Not once in all the renovation and rebuilding projects I've done over the years. Reality just doesn't live up to imagination. So I don't know how to put this in terms that will communicate how rare and remarkable it is. Our porch is exactly right. It is exactly what we wanted, and looks exactly how we imagined it. Victor and his team did a terrible job working on our house. We contracted them to remove all of…read morethe paneling and replace it with drywall, as well as remove and replace all of the doors in 4 rooms of our house. Not only do the doors not work, meaning that they don't close all the way - if at all, but they didn't remove all of the paneling from the rooms we contracted them to remove it from either. In addition, they also painted some rough drywall around one of the doors as though it was door trim, in the hopes that we wouldn't notice the fact that they didn't even bother to complete putting the trim on the door. Now that we've started working on having the poor work done by Home Verse completed by someone else, we've also found numerous instances where the paneling wasn't removed either. I've attached photos of the paneling we've found in various rooms, as well as some of the drywall issues we've encountered, and a photo of the painted drywall next to the door frame that they didn't install the trim on. Stay away from this company, and hire a different contractor. When contacted about the issues listed, and sent the following photos of what we found, no refunds or compensation of any kind were offered.

I must say that I was impressed with the designer with whom they work, Anna Orfanides. I told her what style I was looking for, and Anna knocked it out of the park. While it was merely a galley kitchen in a Brookline condo, Anna envisioned a design that made it much more functional, timeless, and chic. Hilary Farr would be impressed. Ryaan and team are highly detail oriented. There was one incident where there was a problem with some of the lighting materials. While some contractors would have taken a shortcut and simply have installed the lighting as is, Ryaan and his electrician Chris, who was a perfectionist, made sure that the vendor was held accountable, and they refused to install the product until the issue was resolved with the manufacturer. It should also be noted that Ryaan and team are in constant communication from the project inception until the very end. Kristina, the project manager, is unbelievably responsive. You really can get in touch with her around the clock. The workmanship is impeccable, and it's the first project I've done with a nonexistent punch list. Ryaan took care of small details before I even mentioned them. Finally, I want to add that they are just nice people. I really do think animals are the best judges of character. My dog is a Lhasa Apso, and there are some people he just doesn't like. I was worried that there would be lots of barking and growling throughout the project. However, that was not the case. My dog took a liking to the project team from the beginning. There was no barking and growling. If he can trust them, so can I. It was a wonderful experience, and they really have earned five stars.
