My mother, who had been recently to the ER due to health issues, was preparing to move across the country. She booked Pro Move via Mr. Crosby. On phone she explained to him how many rooms there were, and that there would be a large amount of boxes. He reassured her that they would have from 12pm through the rest of the afternoon for their moving services.
On moving day, they arrived nearly 2 hours late. Mr. Crosby seemed overwhelmed, having only brought 1 other person for the moving crew. He made comments on having 8 other movers at a different location... Only days before he had promised 3 people would be present to help my mother with her move.
Mr Crosby made several insubordinate complaints to my mother's face, as well as continuous comments under his breath throughout his time there. He claimed she didn't notify him of how much she was moving. He even made requests to re-schedule and load the truck on Saturday, even after my Mother had explained that they had to already be gone early that morning. This, and other comments he made, has lead us to believe that the main issue was caused by poor scheduling on their part and overbooking of more "important" clients.
After only an hour of loading the truck, he then flat out told her that they wouldn't be continuing the job, and even stating "You'll never get all of this on to that truck!". Of course he was cordial enough to state they wouldn't charge her, but I am obviously furious at the idea that my near elderly mother was left to sort this out by herself last minute. (After local church members joined to help her after this ordeal, everything actually fit onto the truck with 3 feet to spare)
This man did not come to my mother's house to survey the contents like other professional movers do. If he had done this, I imagine much of these issues could have been avoided. However due to lack of professionalism and outright rude behavior I would strongly suggest that you DO NOT USE THEIR SERVICES! read more
