It was evident from the minute she coordinated the interview with me, and during the actual interview itself, that she's been doing this for a long time, and I've never felt so at ease while applying for a job. While she was the epitome of professional, I really felt as if I was talking to an old friend that I haven't seen as a while and not someone who was reviewing my resume to see if I was a fit for their available positions. Greg Bernhardt, who is one of the partners of the firm, met with me after my initial interview with Daisy, and he was equally as professional and personable. Once we had finished speaking with one another, he promptly made his way over to his desk, and started making phone calls on my behalf. Half an hour after I left their office, I had a request for a zoom interview for this upcoming Friday. Last but not least, Babien Avila, had such a fantastic energy about her, and although she didn't interview me, she kept checking on me while I was waiting to be seen and after I told her I was hungry, she went out of her way to get me some food as well as a much needed cup of coffee. While I was there, it was very clear that despite being a small firm, they were a very tight knit group, who worked efficiently together, while still being able to find time to laugh and smile with one another. From day one the tone was they were…read morereluctant to help me, as I was a referral and reached out on my own accord and she seemed like she couldn't be bothered. I have over a decades worth of experience in the private sector as a PA/HM and Jillian constantly told me I "wasn't a fit" for all 15 roles I wanted to apply for. In addition, upon our first meeting after I reached out again, she claims to have placed me in three positions. One month went by with zero communication and when I checked in her assistant told me to chalk it up as a loss on all three positions. Another month went by and I was sent by a friend her job list (she never put me in an email list to recieve jobs she was working) so I messaged her a couple that mirrored my experience and resume and she said no because I had to relocate (on my own dime) and I explained to her I couldn't afford to relocate without a secured position, let alone obtain an apartment with no income. Two more weeks went by and I went through all LinkedIn jobs from their agency and their website openings and presented a list of 7 positions and asked if there were any I could be presented to. Her answer was no. Bottom line is the dismissal of my time, experience and qualifications was disgusting. "Woman owned" is just code for "petty and nasty". Being told you're not a good fit for a position your resume completely mirrors is mind boggling to me, so it seems maybe she didn't like me enough or for some superficial reason she didn't want to assist me. 80% of the positions were also asking for 5 years experience and I have almost triple that, proven longevity, and impeccable references.

Failed to provide updates or respond in timely manner, and I didn't know until later that she committed a major error in my case which is costing thousands of dollars and counting to rectify. And it may still not be salvageable. She caused me to be stressed out and in the dark for the entirety of her representation. Luckily I listened to my gut and got out. It wasn't until I retained my new attorney that I realized my own attorney should not be making me feel more stressed out than opposing counsel.
