My hair color was a train wreck, and I really wanted to go out for my birthday that night feeling confident with a new, bold look. I am ABSOLUTELY THRILLED to say that Master Stylist Vivian, Lily, Anthony and Danielle all made my dream a reality. The photos show the absolutely CRAZY transformation of my hair under these skilled stylists. Instead of wanting to put a bag over my head, I am over the moon when I look in a mirror now. Vivian has been doing hair since the 1980s, and she is truly a GENIUS. She was careful, ensuring that the bleach did not fry my hair, and she had the best ideas. It was a long process, of course, but worth all of the hours in her chair. If you need a hair miracle or a color correction like I did, I HIGHLY recommend Vivian and her team at Salon Arcaro without any hesitation. She KNOWS her trade, and she's TRULY a Master of hair ‼

Although he didn't hate his haircut, he also didn't love it. He felt like the barbers didn't really listen to him. We decided to give American Barber Shop in Milton a try. We made a last minute appointment with the first available barber. Fortunately for us, they had a 5:30 PM slot open. We arrived on time and were greeted right away. We didn't wait long after checking-in. Ehete got my son and took him to her chair. They were finished in under 30 minutes. Ehete was friendly and personable. When we left, I asked my son if he liked his haircut and he said yes. I also asked if he would like Ehete to cut his hair again. The answer was also yes!

I chose this salon as my place to get my first perm done. My stylist was Min. He and another female…read moreworker were nice and answered all of my questions well. I was just really curious on what happens. It wound up taking ~4 hours where I got my hair washed, cut, primed, bathed in solvent, and then curled with the little rollers. I definitely felt cared for, but 4 hours is def a long time. I brought a book and phone charger in case I was bored. The salon inside, however, is extremely cold. I think it was like 62 degrees inside, and I got my perm done in the summer when it was hot (and I still felt that it was freezing). There's a bunch of stylists inside and people who help prepare the clients. For a digital perm, it was ~$200, and if you pay with cash, you can avoid the 3% credit card fee. They also do a traditional booking system where you call them and you get written down for an appointment on a paper book. Overall, I loved how my hair turned out. It was very luscious and soft, but I wish when I made the appointment, maybe there could have been guidelines of what not to do leading up to the appointment, same with post hair care especially for new timers. I wound up using a notes app of how to care for it. I wish I had more curls in my hair, but now I know for next time and how to ask for it to be styled. Great experience generally! This place is located inside of a busy plaza with lots to do, so if you're ever waiting on someone here, you can go to Teso or get boba/food/coffee -- any type of idle shopping!

I've gone there for 5+ years and never a bad experience. I'm not sure why I didn't write a rave review for Salon de la Vie before but I know why I am now. Another client told me about an outrageous customer who insulted the staff with totally disrespectful language in front of other customers then posted to Yelp. Hair can be emotional but so is making your livelihood by building an amazing business through positive word of mouth. This one 2nd hand review speaks to service that is the opposite of all that I have seen from Angie or the team. IF Angie were ever slightly rude, it must have taken a ton of abuse to provoke it. I'm not sure why someone would go somewhere they thought was overpriced to get a haircut they did not like 3x, before losing one's cool on the fourth. But the story made me think of this amazing article that I read called "Maybe You Get Bad Customer Service Because You Are a Bad Customer" by Matt Walsh. https://www.huffingtonpost.com/matt-walsh/bad-customer-service_b_3799574.html In this 'customer is always right" world, perhaps the problem is that there are too many "no star" customers.

-- Extremely disappointing experience!…read more I went to this salon with a clear reference picture of the exact hair color I wanted: a beautiful, rich dark chocolate brown with warm, dimensional highlights and a glossy finish. I showed the stylist the picture before starting, so there should have been no confusion about what I was asking for. Unfortunately, the result was nowhere near what I requested. My hair looks almost black, and the beautiful chocolate tones and dimension I specifically wanted are barely visible. I left the salon with a color that does not match my inspiration picture and is not what I asked for. I trusted this salon with my hair and paid for a professional service, but I am extremely unhappy with the outcome. It is frustrating to spend your time and money explaining exactly what you want, only to walk away disappointed. Showing a reference picture should mean something. If a stylist cannot achieve the requested result, they should communicate that honestly before proceeding rather than leave the client with a completely different outcome. I would not recommend this salon based on my experience. I expected professionalism, good communication, and a result that reflected the picture I provided. Unfortunately, I received none of that in the way I expected. Very disappointing, and definitely not worth the money I spent.

My daughter and I went into salon 999 to get a haircut. We both have all one length straight hair,…read moreno texture, and nothing complicated. We had Danny cut our hair and we requested one inch be cut and I confirmed with him how long he thought one inch was. I asked him to cut my hair with a middle part and he didn't. He slicked all my hair back and chopped it straight across my back, my daughter is pretty sure he then went in with thinning scissors and there was no reason. He was chopping at the ends of my hair. He never brushed my hair forward and only showed us our hair from the back. My daughter has all one length hair and we wanted one inch off. Danny did the same haircut on her but it ended up even worse. When I got home I went to put my hair in a ponytail and was taken back by how choppy and short it felt. I thought it was because it needed to be brushed. When I brushed it I was horrified at the end result, and then I check my daughter's hair to find it chunky chopped, chunks missing, lopsided, and he had hacked at least four inches off. My hair was lopsided as well with chunks being missing. Look at the photos of his work. I contacted the business FB page and Danny was responsive but said that "he forgot to check the front" of our hair. This doesn't justify how bad these cuts were. Did I expect 5 star service? Absolutely not. Did I expect this? No, there is no excuse for this. I have survived cancer and my treatment's and was trying to regrow my hair. Danny offered to "correct" this but after seeing what he did to my daughter's hair we passed. He cut an easy 3 inches off my hair and the salon that corrected the cut had to cut and additional 2 inches so I lost 5 inches of hair. My daughters hair was actually worse and had to have 3 additional inches cut off her hair to correct his cut with her at minimum losing seven inches of hair, this doesn't justify his excuse of "he forgot to check the front." I hope he can reflect on how he can serve his customers better in the future. I was able to get my money back but know your risk. We had a very simple cut go very sideways.
