When John Shields came do do the install yesterday, I had a Mickey Mouse smile the whole time. I even joked how he added years to our marriage. John built a custom bookshelf that also functions as a stair railing to replace the original eye sore that came with the house. Instant facelift for our upstairs dining area! So if you, like us, want quality craftsmanship that will instantly add value to your home, and stop quarreling with your spouse over the 5th IKEA BILLY bookcase that has failed you, look no further. John was quick to do a site survey and respond to texts/emails. Once the deposit was paid, turn-around time for the built-in was faster than I anticipated. John and Jim did a fabulous job removing the outdated and ugly rails and spindles on my staircase. When John came initially, he was concerned about how he would be able to do the job. He came back with a wonderful plan and the finished product exceeded my expectations! My new staircase is absolutely beautiful. It makes me smile every time I look at it! It was a real pleasure having John and Jim working in my home. They were superb at communicating what they were doing and the order in which they would do parts of the job. We are an elderly couple 84 and 85 years. We wanted a railing in our long central hallway in the ranch home, in which we have lived for 48 years - for safety and as a balnce aid.
