These guys are awesome. We limped in on a BMW R1150RT with a fried rear tire that had really gone…read morebad after picking up a screw. Mark and Steve took us in, we talked about the options and arrived at ordering new front and rear from NYC rather than putting something on that would work but not be quite right. These guys took us into town and dropped us off at a historic inn, and Mark gave us a tour of the town in the process and showed us all the good places to eat (I now weigh 750 pounds). We ended up having a great time in Middlebury, they picked us up the next day as the tires were going on and we rolled out on some well-replaced rubber. These guys are great and it kinda makes me wish I lived up there!

I've been a customer here for years without any major issues, which honestly makes this year's…read moreexperience even more disappointing. Back in the spring, it was already a struggle just to get someone to return a call. I gave them the benefit of the doubt--this is a busy time of year for motorcycle shops--but that should've been my first warning sign. When I finally brought my bike in for a routine inspection, oil change, and tune-up, the service went from mildly frustrating to completely unacceptable. Communication was practically nonexistent. Getting a simple status update felt like pulling teeth--calls went unanswered, and when I did get through, I was given vague or noncommittal answers. The worst part? The cost. I was given a quote, reviewed it, and approved the work based on that number. Two weeks later--after zero proactive updates--I went to pick up my bike and was handed a bill that was double the quoted price. Not slightly higher. Not due to a quick phone call to explain additional issues. Double. And at no point did anyone contact me to explain, get approval, or even give a heads-up that costs were increasing. That's not just poor customer service--that's a complete breakdown of basic business practices and trust. It's incredibly frustrating to see a shop that used to be reliable drop the ball so hard on communication, transparency, and accountability. Between the lack of responsiveness and the surprise charges, this experience has been enough to make me seriously reconsider ever coming back.

As an avid dual sport and Klim enthusiast, I appreciate having this small, locally owned business…read morein my community. Doug has ordered in many things for both my husband and me, and they have come in quickly. He has always been very communicative and I appreciate his candor. In addition, we also use his building for vehicle storage, not only for ourselves, but also for some of our customers. The prices are VERY reasonable, not just for storage, but for parts and accessories too. Doug has always been easy to deal with. Thank you for being a part of our small community.

I always ask for a tracking number for the items I purchase, and I am always promised to have them by the business day following when I place my order. Even though the items are typically scheduled up for shipping the day I place my order, I never get tracking information from Smart Power Sports until the day my order is scheduled to arrive at my house. IMHO, this is terrible customer service since the promise is always made to get information to me vey quickly and it never arrives until it's "too late" for me to be able to make use of it (if I get a tracking number from them at all). What's more irritating is that I get told that items are "in stock", but they ship from a supplier warehouse somewhere else in the country. They never disclose this information, and make it about impossible to estimate a reasonable timeframe for delivery as a result.
