Truly nightmare of an experience! Dave Miller who runs Copacetic Metal Shaping, told me he could do…read morea job and within a time frame of a couple of months. This was key as I very clearly told Dave that I needed the car ready for shows and for auction as the car market was hot and all of my cash was tied up in this rare classic car. I told Dave that as soon as he finished the doors I would be selling the car and using those funds those funds to pay bills and make other investments. Long story short, I spent thousands of dollars to locate those other investment cars to coincide with Dave's finishing my doors. However, at the two-month mark Dave said the work was not finished. He said he was busy. Month after month would pass with me literally begging and pleading with him to finish the work so I could sell the car. I would call Dave to tell him shows the car was to be appearing in were coming up as we had discussed. Yet Dave almost never answered the phone forcing me to leave voicemails, which I did while trying not to sound too pushy for fear he would delay even further. After about six months of this stressful nonsense, Dave contacts me and says he found better photos of what the doors should look like and then he says it would cost me an additional $1,500 to make the doors look just like the original doors. By now I was like, I've waited this long might as well get them done right! Dave indicates this will take about four weeks. Well, another half year passes with me begging for my doors and Dave not answering his phone calls nor returning my calls. When I tell Dave I have a baby on the way and he's driving me into the poorhouse, Dave finally says the doors are done! He sends me photos and they do NOT look like they are supposed to look! They are dramatically and noticeably different. I complain to Dave and ask him to make them like the photos he sent of the proper doors as he represented. He refuses. Demands more than $6,000! As a result of Dave's actions, the investments did in fact go up 200-300% but I was not able to make the investment thanks to Dave's failure to deliver as promised within 2 months and instead, after a year, the doors were still wrong! Of course, now Dave simply doesn't answer his phone. This has been a nightmare that has verifiably cost me hundreds of thousands of dollars. I then said since the doors don't look like photos don't charge that extra $1500 but Dave insists on all of it. Apparently Dave has no conscience from where I'm sitting. He took a year and not the two months as represented and then he charged $1500 more based on representations he would make the doors look like the doors in his photos--which he failed to do. The reality is Dave repeatedly lied to me both as to when he would get the work done and what work would be done. Dave apparently has never heard the expression "time is money." Dave cost me a huge sum of money and rather than being a man and owning up to what he did, he is demanding over $6,000 for my doors that are still nowhere near finished.
