I came in, and after playing a few of their high-range Alhambra models, a young woman told me I was unbelievable for my age. An older man (I believe he runs the shop) began to give me a sort-of lesson on technique, which I have really found beneficial, and I was given several FREE Grade 7 ABRSM books to improve my sight-reading! AMAZING! 11/10

I had bought a classical guitar elsewhere which literally fell apart on its first journey outside my flat. The staff were so helpful in suggesting which models to try, gave excellent advice and let me have a good long play on the possible purchases. I bought an Alhambra and it is a delight to play. In my opinion this is the best place to go whether a novice or pro.

It's a small and well packed little shop, on Chalk Farm Rd, worth a stroll from Camden Stables market to go and have a peek. They are very friendly and patient in the shop, and though there are some very valuable and precious instruments in the back room, namely Yang Chins (Chinese Hammered Dulcimers) and Santoors and Sitars, there are also plenty of pocket money rattles, flutes, and croaking frogs, that they don;t mind you giving a little shake.

I searched local businesses with few succes with phone calls. Except this one. I checked what they have. A bit of this and that, on the cheap side. Totally appropriate with their location. Several type of instruments, enough music sheet and tabs to have fun. Open on a week end, the owner had my favorite brand and my gauge. That was easy and fast. Sure they won't have the custom shop model you were really looking for but they're around the corner and they saved my day :) I can't help. I want to give an extra star for being so convenient.

From the outside, it looks quite small but like a Tardis, it opens out over 2 floors and has many functions. At the front of the shop, you can find all sorts of music-related gifts for that musical person you're buying for, ranging from pencils twisted into treble clefs to models of miniature grand pianos. There are some musical instruments for sale and some contemporary and pop sheet music in the middle section of the shop but it's in the back of the ground floor that you really find the gem. If you're a classical pianist, this section holds a veritable treasure trove of sheet music. Downstairs, there's performance space and space for dedicated publishers. On the notice board, there are lots of adverts for lessons, performances and groups looking for players. You can also shop from Schotts online. Great shop for musicians, especially classical musicians.
