I don't recommend these folks whatever your needs may be. over two months ago I order a holster system. Got a confirmation email $110 on an advertised special deal. After I waited a week, I contacted them and got an email about parts not available and for patience, 10 days later and two emails, got the same excuse. a week later reached out again and got a USPS tacking number. tried to track it, Postal office said not shipped. two more emails over a week and got same part excuse. Asked for patience. A week later got a shipped notice. a week later a delivery notice on a Saturday. imagine my surprise when nothing was in the mailbox. Checked the receipt for correct shipping address and it was. Mon went to the post office with the tracking number. The Postal clerk came back and said it had been delivered to another state by that tracking number. Reached out and asked them what the heck. They claimed someone else had used that tracking number and my address was correct. (Funny thing is tracking numbers are assigned to individual parcels.). They said they would notify the Wherehouse to look for it on the return and then ship it to me, I requested they just send me another one and they came back with "We'll see"; it will take about a week, 10 days later reached out and got more excuse, I requested a full refund on my Credit Card. Then got this in return: " Due to an unexpected issue with our commerce platform (Shopify), our store's payouts have been temporarily blocked." I then told them to just send me a check for the full amount. and in short said they couldn't do that. So, be sure to tell your friends who might be interested in Armament PRO products to forget it. I Did, and they lost quite a bit of revenue for sure, (If they are legit, which I doubt at this point). BTW if their customer service is this bad; imagine how bad the product will be, should you even get it. OH ONE MORE THING! came in to check out their ammo selection, after weighing the not so cheap options they had i selected various boxes of 5.7. when paying the guy at the counter asked for my id, handed it back, took my credit card looked at my name and asked for my id again and looked back and forth making sure my name matched. no other small gun or ammo shop has done that to me in or outside of ohio, not to mention the employee's get annoyed when you have questions or don't want to buy their recommendations. read more

Was bait-and-switched. New to hobby, saw ad for great price carry pistol with light-laser combo. Clerk did his level best to talk me into the model without the extras. Tried to scare me by saying I'll shoot a family member if I try to light up my dark home with a light on the pistol. Also, "lasers make you a lazy shot," "we don't even stock a holster for the laser model." Being a novice I fell for all of it. Just one instance of many over the two years I tried to hammer out a good relationship with these guys, only a couple miles from my home, to have them act like they've never seen me before every time I came in. I've been here a couple of times and have had a less than pleasant experience. The range is nice and they always have plenty of items in stock, but they're prices are higher than everywhere else and they're staff is truly horrendous. There are a couple of gentlemen there that are friendly, but the majority are not. Also, the range is not open to the public so you must purchase a membership. I don't know why there are so many negative reviews. Lots of what people are saying, Pro Armament has no control over. Ammo and gun parts are hard to come by right now, and they are getting what they can from manufacturers. It's not like it used to be, demand is high and supply is low. SPEAKING OF. Even with ammo demand so high right now, Pro Armament is the only place in the area that is not price gouging on it. Their prices are significantly cheaper than other FFLs in the area, and they are honest and straightforward about what is available. I am not very gun savvy at all, and I am not intimidated to go in and ask questions. I find that the sales people are always helpful in explaining things and helping me find what I am looking for. I never feel rushed or nervous, and when they explain different parts of the gun its not condescending. Sorry people had a bad experience here, but its the only FFL we have been going to recently. I gave them 5 stars because I find them easy to work with and helpful but MOSTLY because they are very honest and fair in their pricing and they are not taking advantage of the shortage to rip off customers. I do respect them for enforcing the "no-masks" rule; January '22 was not the "peak" of the pandemic, robbers exploit masks all the time and "no masks" is posted on the door. Larrydude22_N comes across a little paranoid too. But the staff can be jerks too. TL;DR: I've spent about $3000 and over 50 hours of range time there over the past couple years and they snubbed and bait-&-switched me and provided bad service the whole time. It's so bad that even though they're around the corner from my home, I'd rather drive 30 minutes to another range. Snubbed: I am a novice, but I do know that gun people need to stick together and build community. I guess that's why I hung in so long. As much time as I spent at the range, as much ammo as I bought at Pro Armament, every single time I came in the store I was treated like a stranger. If I made conversation I was met by silence. If I asked a question I was corrected. Two examples: When ammo prices went up, they raised their gun prices too. I was considering a short shotgun and asked when they thought gun prices might come down. The clerk snapped back, "gun prices never went up!" The only cool guy there, Tom, passed away this year. I came in to buy some ammo and to share my condolences with the clerk [or anyone else.] Know what he did? He literally turned his back me and walked away in silence. Bait-&-switched: I purchased my carry pistol there because of their ad for one with an integrated flashlight and laser. The clerk did everything he could to persuade me not to buy that one, but instead one with no extras but a second mag - not even a case or cleaning kit. "The flashlight/laser makes it too bulky to carry." "Flashlights are dangerous, you might shoot a family member." "You can't use this for home defense even with a flashlight - you need a shotgun." "Lasers go dead and you never learn to shoot right." "There is no holster that will fit this." "You don't want this one." Me: "If these flashlight/lasers are so bad, why does the manufacturer sell them?" "You'd have to ask them." The reason is that they only had one of these models in stock and if they sell it, the ad isn't true any more. They bait you into the store with a too-good-to-be-true deal and pressure you to switch out for one the more profitable model. Lesson learned Bad Service: My first purchase was a rifle. It was exactly the one I wanted but the price was very high. I asked why I should buy from them instead of someplace cheaper. I was told because I would get free service at Pro Armament. The rifle stove-piped a lot, so I brought it back. First, I was told it was bad ammo. I bought some more expensive ammo. Then I was told that my sight was causing the problem but they would not let me return it for a refund. I removed the sight and sold it myself. They did adjust my iron sights for free. After many wasted hours on the range. Then they finally admitted that there was an issue with the rifle itself. I asked for the free service but was told that they send it back to the manufacturer for service. I didn't know it then but this company is already known for free service up to and including replacing the rifle! It cost Pro Armament nothing. The only free service I got was bad advice and a free sight-in. I hope Pro Armament reads this and makes some changes that respect their customers and community. read more

I would give negative stars if I could. I went there to look at .22 rifles. It's the peak of covid 19 and I was wearing a mask to protect myself and others around me. The jerk who waited on me refused my business and told me to remove my mask or else I would have to leave the store. He told me this is a gun store. I am not stupid. I knew where I was! So, today I went to purchase a firearm from this store...I am getting ready to become a law enforcement officer. My significant other came with me and was manipulating the handgun and checking it out for me as he knows a little more about firearms then I do. He then set it down and said let's do it. Then I got my information out and let the man behind the counter know that it was for me. He then got upset and said "really because it looks like it was for him since he was the one manipulating it" and I said "well, I can manipulate it if you would like, he knows more about them and he was just looking at it for me" the clerk then proceeds to state he can get in huge trouble if he were to sell a firearm to someone for another person. And I kept explaining it was for me I was about to be a law enforcement officer and he then said "then you need it to be blue label" and I said if you have it but it doesn't need to be blue label...(it actually just makes it cheaper) anyways, his face looked so angry and he had been nothing short of condescending and humiliating this far so I said never mind I'm just gonna go. And he said okay and handed me my ID and I said to him "you know you really don't have to be that rude" and the other worker there said "if you're in law enforcement then you know this is criminal trespassing so get out" (which that made no sense I was leaving voluntarily and taking my business elsewhere since I was treated so poorly). I just can't believe the way people are anymore in this world. It was truthfully hurtful and humiliating. I would recommend taking your business elsewhere. You never know what's going on in peoples lives and let's just say that's the last thing I needed right now. read more

I went into Pro Armament today with the intention of purchasing optics for my rifle with a price point between $500.00 to $1,000.00. I stood at the counter for at least five minutes with out being waited on. There were at least six employees behind the counter. One walked right by me seemingly ignoring eye contact twice . One was talking to a customer three feet from me. Their conversation ended and the employee went into a back area with no acknowledgement of my presence. A third employee was transfixed on finding something while walking past me twice. Another two were talking to someone joking away the day. One of these individuals broke eye contact with me immediately. I could see at least two others in a back area. One can only assume that they must make enough overcharging the customers they do wait on that they can let others walk out the door. read more

Range is members only, $150/6-months. Web site is outdated and says nothing about private range only. Found it online, checked their site, and made an hour trip to shoot. No go. Why not give a one-time rental opportunity? You have to sign a waiver and show ID so it'd be easy to see if someone is new. Instead of a negative first-impression, you get to be the good guys, give a positive first impression, and by setting foot in the range, you get a much better chance of getting a new member. Instead you come across as excluding and inept because your web site isn't current. If you can't update your site, what else falls through the cracks? Maybe it's not somewhere I need to do business. Get things updated so you don't alienate potential customers right when they walk in the door. read more

The year is 2010. A visitor from the business next door stops in. The shop is busy, but the visitor is ignored. He wanders around, looks at everything and is ignored. I suppose some businesses are selling a commodity so greedily sought that they can afford to disregard a certain percentage of their customer base and still succeed. Taking a look around the other shoppers was a bit unsettling; I wondered who among these people were buying for less-than-honorable reasons. Oh, and this business has no website. No internet presence at all, as far as I could tell. Really? In a certain sense, if you aren't willing to at least attempt a website, you don't exist. So, Pro Gun, you don't exist. (And do a little research into their dealings with ATF agents. I try to do my due diligence, and in this case I will never return.) read more

Without a doubt the finest selection of handguns in the area. They had a hard to find Sig I was looking for, and at a price that would beat an online purchase! Slapped a deposit down, wasn't planning on buying that day so didn't have the usual 20%, but they waived it for me. Showed up next business day with the remainder and was out the door in no time. I've been in a few times and never had a problem getting waited on. It's a small shop so they get very busy real fast, and I usually go at lunchtime. FWIW I take all online reviews with a grain of salt. If I paid attention to the reviews I wouldn't have gotten a great gun at a great price. Check them out. read more

I don't know what happened to the negative reviewer as from my experience this is the only place I will recommend to anyone looking to purchase a quality firearm. Also a perfect place to go to learn. Everyone there is absolutely awesome. Plus, you will NOT find junk here. This has become my one stop for guns, ammo, and practice. Can't wait until they get a long range place too! I do see many of the negative comments about the staff on here and in most cases they are exactly correct. You will get ignored, the guys are very judging, and will treat you like an idiot if you are inexperienced and uneducated about firearms............Bottom line is the fact that maybe not all, but most of them are prior military (reason for personality issues), they are very knowledgeable about quality firearms and accessories, and they refuse to carry garbage. Went to use the range and it recently went private. The customer service is terrible. Wanted to look at some guns and they just seemed like they did not want to sell me one. My friend was with me and wanted to return a holster that had not even been removed from the box and they would not allow the return. They gave some bogus reason that the holster could have been used ,which it wasn't , and it was company policy. . I eventually left after observing this experience and will not even think about buying a gun from these guys after observing how they treat customers. read more

First off, the inventory at this shop and the range in itself are both not bad at all. This review is based on SEVERAL visits and phone calls over a period of 6 months. I'm an experienced shooter and have been shooting, building, and breaking guns for over 10 years now, so im not just some newby who showed up and left disappointed. Read this carefully for an honest review. With that being said, here's why I gave 2 stars: The customer service here is honestly just terrible. I've stopped in maybe twice a month every month to grab some more ammo because I like their selection. The 2 guys i've personally dealt with at the ammo counter have been a great help and i've had 0 issues with them. The guys at the gun counter on the other hand are complete assholes, misinformed on basic laws, and also don't know how to make customers feel comfortable to where they want to call this place home and return(I returned for the ammo, fuck the rest). FIRST NEGATIVE EXPERIENCE: I moved here from California in June 2015, read up on all of the laws before arriving to familiarize myself with them, got my Ohio license, and a few days later I wanted to try out the whole "get your gun the same day!" that we dont get to experience in California. I get to the shop and walk around for a little bit just browsing and eventually make my way up to the counter. After standing around for 20 minutes, someone finally acknowledges me tapping on the counter and asks what Im looking for. I brought up having moved from California and such and thats when he tells me: "Sorry dude, You need to be a resident of Ohio for 90 days before we can submit an NICS background check for you." and begins to scrap the 4473. Having read the laws, I knew this was most likely incorrect but trusted his judgement because he works in the industry, and I just play in it. I get home and start researching online for any ORC, Attorney General guidlines, FFL handbooks, ATF guidelines, and as many resources I could fine to put some facts on his statement. The ONLY entry listed that talks about a 90 day residency requirement for an NICS is in relation to being an non-us citizen/illegal alien, which I am not. Other than that, there are no residency establishing requirements listed by the ATF or any other governing body in reference to FFLs and sales. Exactly 2 days later, I drive down to Brimfield area to a little family owned Ma & Pa shop called Sport Defense and I walked out with a Glock 19 in about 15-20 minutes without any issues. That was the quickest 90 days of residency i've ever experienced in my opinion.(yes, that was a stab at you guys.) MOST RECENT NEGATIVE EXPERIENCE: I called in to see if they had any LPKs in stock for an AR lower I was putting together. He tells me "Uhhh I think we have some back there and I know we have one of those RRA 2-stage kits probably." He didn't even put the effort into looking wherever he needs to look to tell me YES or NO, and just told me "I think we have some?" so I said "You think, or you do?" and he responds. "I mean I can I check?".......I laughed and said "Nope. Thanks anyways." and hung up. Overall, a few of the guys here are clearly ex-military or ex-leo dudes and they seem to be the biggest tight asses of the bunch over the other gun hobbyist guys that work there. Check out the reviews left on their Facebook too. The entire misinformation regarding the 90 days residency left a bad taste in my mouth and made me wonder who else has been misinformed on any other laws/regulations/guidelines. After that most recent phone call regarding a LPK, and having stood around for over 20-30 minutes without any acknowledgement from when I walked in the door to where I stood at the counter on 3-4 separate occasions, I wont be coming back here. read more

I've been here several times and my review is based on my experiences as well as witnessing other customer's experiences. This is a very honest review. My personal experience has been good with both the range and the sales counter. Customer service is based on the customer's sex, knowledge and how much money they may spend. Good customer service is provided if the customer is a woman, men who are already knowledgeable in firearms (myself included) and most who are spending big bucks on firearms. If u are there for less expensive extras then forget any help unless it's a time when they are slow. For men who are trying to learn about firearms and need assistance, service is down right disrespectful and reviews on various cites support that. It's embarrassing. It's such a shame because as a supporter of the 2nd amendment, we need all the support we can get right now and new interested parties are imperative! This place should be more aware than anyone of how important this is to all our firearms rights as well as their own future survival! Instead, war stories or knowledgeable firearm stories are more important and disrespectful treatment of curious, uninformed customers are turned off so bad that they are probably forever lost to the cause. My best guess is that the lack of competition is the main culprit and they act like they know it. These people act like this because they can and its such a shame and such a turn off. An identical business right next door with great customer service to ALL customers would put them out of business!!! Down right shame!!! Not likely to change as its been this way for years. read more
