On day 5, we were contacted to let us know the team's quote was WAY off - $2700 was due that day, which was their discounted rate for the week, and they were less than 1/2 way done with the project. They quoted another $3000 to $4000 to finish the project, or told us they understood if we found someone else to finish the job. Now, we get to move into our new home this weekend that is missing trim in half of the house and is filthy. I'm disappointed because the work that was completed looked pretty good, hence the 2 stars, but that is some terrible quoting, business management and customer relations. I get that mistakes happen, but charging 5x what the original quote was is NEVER acceptable.

Cypress Roofing was one of 2 companies I called to go out there, look at it, and give a price to fix. The other company called first, and the slick talking young man said I had more problems which would cost $1000 to fix!! This was stuff the inspector certainly would have pointed out. I told him I would think about it. Then this morning, Ty with Cypress got back with me, saying that he saw only 2 loose shingles, and he went ahead and glued them down. Problem solved. I told him what the other guy said, and he called b******t!! I told him I was suspicious of the other guy because he seemed like too much of a slick talker. Ty told me that Cypress was not a slick talking company. And I would heartily agree in my case. I'd call then again!!

My Kerrville realtor hooked me up with Cypress Roofing and they handled the project from start to finish. Ty was my main point of contact. Ty knew I had been dealing with a messy estate process, and had been hit with the roof information suddenly, and with a limited amount of time to handle it. Ty got his team out to the house quickly for an assessment and sent me a comprehensive estimate, and several clear photos of the condition of the roof. It was as if I was there with him, but I didn't have to travel. Ty was incredibly patient with me while I worked through challenges with the homeowners insurance company, and with my billing needs, as the initial check I sent never arrived; I wasn't able to send a wire or electronic payment and was relying on the mail system to get the check to him. Ty started the job anyway while I sent an overnight payment- Ty kept me informed every step of the way and let me know when payment was received, and how the project was progressing. He and his office team facilitated getting all necessary documents/invoices/receipts to my realtor, to make things easier and faster for me so we could finalize the sale. When the first check I mailed turned up in their office six weeks later, office manager Allison called me to see how I wanted her to handle it. Amazing communication, and very trustworthy and compassionate people! I'm not a roofer, so I don't know what the scope of roofing prices currently is- but I can tell you I am more than happy to have paid what I paid for the complete new roof, in order to sell the home- rather than be saddled with a home I couldn't sell or would sell at a significant loss because of the condition of the roof. Considering the quality of the work, and the quality of the customer service- I'm comfortable saying their prices are more than fair for the work they do.

Liked the two-person crew, but they could have done a more thorough clean-up after washing 40…read moresomething windows. The inside guy left water spots on my hardwood floors and window casings. A little work for me afterwards. On the outside a number of windows were left with water drops, which mad it hard to see if the window was really clean. Their answer was that it was clean water and would dry without spotting. Also windows not completely clean on the window perimeters. Lastly, they did not even take the time to put my garden hose back where it was found. But what can you expect for just $600 plus tax!
