They don't provide any real report about your dog's wellbeing just generic words, "she's doing great," which was clearly unbelievably false. The kennels are worse than shelters. The condition of this place merits a free stay, not the absurd fee they charge. It's overpacked with dogs, nonstop barking, and clear signs of stress everywhere. Their so-called "privacy suite" is a flat-out lie. They do NOT follow your dog's needs. They claim each kennel has an outdoor run, They have to manually open it, so their statement that dogs can go out anytime is completely false. I told them my dog is a rescue with a history of neglect and abandonment, and I trusted them to keep her safe and supported. Instead, I picked her up in distress , injured, bleeding, and with her voice completely gone from what must have been nonstop barking and crying. EVEN THOUGH I PROVIDED THEM WITH HER SEDATIVES. She had made so much progress, and this experience set her back in every way. Blood was all over my car and the dog wash station from her injuries. It's heartbreaking and infuriating. The shelter she came from took better care of her than this place. I can't understand how businesses like this are allowed to keep operating. How do they sleep at night. Shame on you. PS: I suggest you concern yourself less with reviews and more with the wellbeing of the dogs under your care. At the very least, stop hiring low quality staff.

I didn't have a friend/family network in the area to help with my animals when I went out of town AND my dog Cooper was fear aggressive so it made it just that much more nerve wracking to leave him with someone. After two failed attempts at a dog sitter via a app based service (2 no shows for meet and greets!) I no longer had confidence in trusting a stranger found by an app to come into my home and car for my pets. I searched for kennels and found High Tails - LIFE CHANGING! From the first phone call to the last visit every experience was outstanding. Cooper loved it so much that when i would pick him up he would not want to get in the car. He was a different dog after his time at High Tails. It was a confidence booster for him and a relief for me. He became much less fearful even outside his stays. Saul, the cat was a little more subtle in his excitement - but he seems happy and content every time I picked him up after a stay. I believe we had about 4 stays at High Tails. One at Christmas time that I booked with less than 2 weeks notice and they were able to accommodate at the last minute. We moved back to St. Louis, Missouri about two weeks after their last stay at High Tails and I can say I was genuinely sad to no longer have the option to bring my pets to this amazing facility! Don't hesitate! If you are looking for a exceptional kennel to board your pets, this is the place!

When we dropped her off, she was so excited to greet the staff, with no hesitation at all. We take her own food and treats with us, as is recommended by the hosts, and they returned whatever she hadn't eaten. She was happy to see us of course, but went to her hosts to say goodbye! We live in Evansburg and are leaving on holiday for 2 weeks. We love Kozy Kennels so much that we are driving the 2 extra hours to take her there! We appreciated how accommodating they were when we had to extend her stay due to a medical emergency in our family. I really cannot say enough about them! Penny is a larger dog, so she requires lots of walks, she was happy and healthy there!

If this is what's important to you as a customer, stay as far away as possible from this place... If saving a buck is what's important during a pandemic, trust us, employing this business will end up costing you more in vet and treatment bills. We remain baffled as to how this company has operated for profit for so long abusing furry family members. Most recently to highlight our experience; we dropped our animals off while on vacation, and upon our return our animals had been damaged, malnourished, and dehydrated. Upon picking up our dogs, on the drive home our puppy laid across our lap almost lifeless, he was limp, and we could visibly see every rib and defined vertebrae. His face was drained of life and he had this dull sad look to him. His norm was a healthy, vibrant, active and healthy weighed animal... Upon bringing our concerns to the attention of the owners (pictures of before and after we dropped them off and a vet assessment report) both in person and over the phone we were met with a lack of customer service, lack of accountability, and lack of overall professionalism one gets from a reputable business. So if you and your family want to stress over the condition of your furry loved one. If you enjoy being ostracized and cursed at by the owners, and over blamed for the condition of your animals in your absence while paying someone to do it.... We asked specifically for a first time groom for our two 1 year old dogs. I could hear my dogs outside through the concrete building. When approached the groomer said "I bet you're wondering why I'm not with your dogs?" She offered a lame excuse and continued on her way. We waited an hour longer than the quoted time for our pups to be released, she hands us a bill and walks away. No love for our dogs, not nurturing...we will never bring our sweet dogs here again. I hope the dogs will forgive us for such a traumatic experience.

As a person who is very particular, some what OCD about the care of Buttons, as well, I was very nervous as Buttons was recently sick with a urinary tract infection and needed special attention and medication dispensing. I was pleasantly surprised to learn that the Cat Next Door was a thorough, attentive and a genuine lover of cats! Melanie came over for a meet and greet with Buttons and competed a full assessment of her needs and was very relaxed and gentle with my temperamental kitty. She wasn't nervous and picked her up right away, and Buttons surprisingly enough let her! While I was away, Melanie sent pictures and notes about how she was doing, went the extra mile and brought her toys, spent time playing with her, ensuring her litter was clean, dishes were cleaned and refilled with food, even heated her wet food for her so she would eat more! Buttons is a snacker so this was great to discover! When I arrived home, Melanie had left daily notes of what was done during visits, net moods, behaviours, how much time was spent with her and was tasks were done. My apartment was just as spotless as I left it, Buttons was relaxed and happy! I…read morewas nervous deciding which service to go with in Airdrie/Calgary area but Melanie went over all of their credentials and pet sitting procedures and I was very impressed. They also take care of dogs / other animals or just water your plants if you are away. The meet and greet interview covered all of my concerns. I can't say enough about her. You can tell she truly cares about your pet, from her abilities to deal with special needs, her pet CPR certifications and how much my cats took to her right away. They still look for her in the front door after for days after we come home! I love the fact that she texted us pictures and updates after every visit, and even left us toys for my cats. I will definitely use their services again without hesitation.
