Shop is in Adelanto. Eleven months of lies and incompetence. We still don't have our car. Gerardo got our car November 2024, it's October and there have been a dozen times or more that he said the car would be ready the following week, when we can even get hold of him. We average thirty calls before we can get him to answer, we have to show up at odd times to catch him so that he can tell us more lies. He also can't keep track of the stories he's told us so he contradicts himself a lot. Allstate paid him for the repairs in January-over 10K. He kept telling us parts were on back order, but I can literally buy those parts online right now. Do not let this man have your car. I make sure to tell everybody not to trust Pristine Auto. read more

Came to pristine auto body and paint for the 2cd time. Service was great and turn around time was exactly what the owner said it would be. I would definitely recommend this business. He's trustworthy, friendly, and doesn't try to take advantage of you. 10/10 recommend. read more

my experience was good. it's the other insurance adjuster that was being very unfair & rude. Gerardo handled him well. The work they did on my honda odyssey was great. The paint blended well with existing paint. took a bit longer than expected due to the insurance adjuster being anal about everything. Did not want to pay for any thing but my lawyer took care of that part. Thank you Gerardo. I would recommend people to go here. Good quality work read more

I brought my car to Gerardo Velasquez at Pristine Auto Body & Paint in Adelanto (formerly of Victorville). At first Gerry presented as thought the repairs would be easy to accomplish with a quick turn around and that he had over 15 years of experience, conveying that I was in good hands. As time passed, there were many excuses and poor communications. Gerry ended up keeping my car nearly 9 months! In that time, thankfully I had chosen not to rent a car, using my other vehicle at home which was less practical, eventually I couldn't wait on Gerry any longer and I ended up purchasing a newer car for my primary business use. Month after month, time dragged on, Gerry claimed to be ill, claimed to have issues with his paint and body employees, went on a vacation with his spouse, claimed to have issues with his independent claims adjuster; always a fast-talking excuse, and bullshit promises. Also rarely anything in writing. When I finally was able to pick up my car, the TPMS sensors were still lit (we put brand new rims and tires on the car), so was the airbag light (this was easily reset at the second shop I brought it to), as well as the flat tire sensor (upon further inspection I found the sensor was removed and missing from my car). The car pulled right substantially, and when I looked under the hood there were fasteners missing as well as one of the covers. Upon my own inspection I found some damaged items not repaired. I was definitely frustrated and angry. Rather than continue to deal with someone who has no intention of doing the job right, I brought me vehicle over to another collision shop with a much better reputation and established track record of success. I don't know if Gerry is incompetent or just a conman. He billed my insurance company substantially and yet missed or left so much undone. The second shop I brought my vehicle to changed out the rest of the bad parts, got the car aligned and made it mechanically sound (as good as the day it was built). They did it in less than a month. They also pointed out several issues with Pristine Auto Body's work regarding my car's body panel alignment, as well as fisheyes and runs in the paint work. Unfortunately, I would have to come out of pocket to complete repairs to the paint, since it was already paid for by the insurance. I am sorry to have ever met Gerardo. I don't know his motivation to do things as poorly as they were done, but based on what I am seeing on other reviews across the internet and on different platforms, my situation is not new he's been doing things like this to customers since at least 2011. read more

Really bad experience owner is a jerk he didn't put my front license plate back or the badge back on my hood he took longer than he said he was he charged insurance for stuff he didn't even replace like a rim that got bent never again read more

The owner was really nice at the beginning. I told him I was going to be paying not the insurance, so he estimated me at almost 2k to replace and paint the bumper, replace fog light and fender bender on one side. He kept my car for 2 weeks I had a rental the whole time. He then called me to let me know that my car was ready to pick up when I picked it up I only saw the side of the car that he had worked on so I did not pay attention to the entire bumper or anything else. The next day when I went to the gym I noticed that in every speed bump something underneath my car was scraping I called him and told him about it and it was my undercover of the car that was dragging he said he did not know why it was doing that that when he placed it back on but he assumed that that's what it supposed to look like. remember now he is supposed to be a professional that knows about auto body and what is supposed to look right and what is not. after looking all around my car he finally lifted it up and said that my radiator supporter was bent and that supposedly mine was plastic and he was not going to be able to straighten it out that he had to order a brand new part. I didn't notice that it was slightly bent and he said that that's what was causing the undercarriage cover to bend so he then asked me to pay for the part so he could order it I did not mind as initially for him to even start working on my car I had to give him the money to order the parts before he could even work on my car. I did not leave my car at this time but when I did take it home I pay more close attention to my car and noticed that the bumper was not properly installed as the lights on the opposite side that had nothing wrong we're not all the way pushed out and there were many gaps on the bumper too that we're not supposed to be there some parts of the bumper looked like they were forced on and others were left loose the paint job was really crappy too. almost a month later when my part finally came in according to him I brought my car in and showed him everything that was wrong with the bumper and the paint job so for him to fix it he wanted me to let him finish fixing the car I was not satisfied with the Mickey Mouse job that was done on the exterior of my car so I was not about to let him work on the interior of my car who knows what in the world he was going to do under there. He seemed really careless when I was complaining to him about everything that was wrong with the bumper and all he kept telling me was that it was an easy fix I feel like it shouldn't matter whether it's an easy fix or not if it was done properly the first time they should not be happening I told him that I was not going to have the work done by him but I didn't want the part that I paid for since it was $525 he proceeded to tell me that I had to give him something for ordering the part when I initially paid him for the part I had zelled him $600 so I told him how he was asking for more money when he basically had already kept the 75 extra dollars from Zelle at that point he said oh we are even. I forgot to mention when he ordered the part he told me that he was going to charge me about the same as before but he said that maybe he will leave it for a little bit cheaper depends how much labor had to be done. so basically I was looking to pay about another $2000 and that's not including the rental that I was going to have to get again because he said he had to keep my car for a few days. sorry for such a long review what I am writing does no justice to everything there really happened I feel like he took advantage of me because I am a female and I don't know much about cars. now I have a key apart that is worth $525 in my garage that I don't even need because I took my car to Gerber collision and they straighten out the part that he claim was plastic they also readjusted my bumper to fit properly on my car and straighten out my undercarriage cover and all I had to pay was 187 not 2k.... read more

This shop was recommended by a friend. Gerardo followed through on everything he said he was going to do and all at a reasonable price! He worked with the insurance company. He even delivered the car to me! My car looks like new! read more

This place is absolutely horrible, communication with the owner is hard, paint quality is junk. I wouldn't send my worst enemy here, this place should not be in business. Car wasn't sanded enough, paint is starting to flake, and this was supposed to be a $6000 paint job thru my insurance. Go somewhere else. read more

On July 1, 2011 Gerardo owner of Prestine Auto Body was instructed to give our insurance company an estimate for repair on wind damage on our vehicle. Our insurance company reviewed the estimate and approved the claim in the amount of $6800. Gerardo then began working on our vehicle without our authorization and said that we would not get our vehicle in a timely manner until we had the insurance send him the check directly so that he can begin ordering parts. He kept the car for one month and did not replace the parts our insurance company gave him money to replace. Parts include all windows, tint, headlights, fog lights, bumper grille assembly, window moldings, all parts adding up to a total of $2400. In addition to parts not being replaced the vehicle was not properly painted. There are at least ten drip marks, some being three inches long. After only two months there are cracks in the paint. We have requested him to send us receipts for parts purchased for our vehicle, and he refuses to give us any paper work. Gerardo does not answer or return any of our phone calls. We never signed a release authorization for him to begin work on our vehicle, and did not sign any paper work when we picked up our vehicle. To this day we have not seen any paper work showing what work was completed. We have taken our vehicle to Top Care Auto Center to have it evaluated and the result was that the only service that was done was an improper paint job that won't last more than a couple months. I spoke with other customers about this business and they had the same complaints! Mike read more
