Where do I begin?? I purchased a home in Coeur d'Alene, ID…read morein November 2020. This company was hired to do my home inspection prior to purchase. I lived out of state but I read over the inspection report when it was completed. I didn't see a lot of major concern listed in the report so we went forth and purchased the home. Upon arrival to my new home, we were unable to take showers after a 12 hour drive because there was NO hot water in the house. We hired a plumber the very next day to check it and he replaced a small part. As it turned out a few hours later, we still had no hot water, and in the end we had to purchase a new water heater costing well over $1400 after only one day of arriving to our new home. Other things that Mr. Fullbrook failed to list on our inspection report..... 1. The basement bathroom sink leaks water in the cabinet below the sink pipes. We had to turn the valves off to avoid additional leakage. 2. The main bathroom sink faucet leaks. 3. The bathtub faucet leaks non stop 4. The oven temperature does not heat past 170*F (I was forced to cook my first Thanksgiving meal in my new home in a pressure cooker) and forget holiday baking this year! 5. The main bathroom toilet kept running (like a self half flush) every 20 to 30 minutes). 6. Report states that backyard is leveled.... upon arrival there are ruts and small hills and large rocks protruding throughout. It was snowing when we arrived....I stepped in the yard with my dog and slipped and fell on a small hilly slant. 7. Garage door opener periodically goes right back up on it's own before it even touches the ground, which means we have to wait and watch it to make sure it stays down before we go into the house. 8. Oven door has to be closely controlled when closing or it slams shut hard when it's in the half way position creating a safety issue, IF it worked and you opened it half way to check on food cooking and reached it to rotate a pan, it could potentially slam shut burning your arm. 9. Dishwasher door slams down hard almost hitting the floor when you open it if you don't control the opening and hold on to it which can potentially cause harm to a pet or small child if the door falls open on top of them. After the water heater incident, I contacted Mr. Fullbrook and asked if he warrantied his work. He advised that he did not as the water heater was working at the time of inspection and that he takes his work very seriously and I could tell from the photos in the report that he ran the water to test it. I went back and re-read my report and the only picture of running water is in the basement bathtub NOT the sink.... I think if he had indeed ran the sink water he would have noticed the leak AND possibly the lack of hot water. If you need a home inspection, I highly suggest you call someone else unless you have money to start paying for replacement and repairs that were not mentioned on your report.
