I hadn't been to the dentist since the pandemic began so when I decided to try this new dentist out (since I could no longer go to my pediatric dentist), I wish I didn't doubt if the bad reviews were true. During my first cleaning the dental hygenist was amazing, gentle, and super friendly which made me feel comfortable. However, Dr. Cagampan told me I needed 4 cavities filled and a root canal in a super rude and condescending manner-- lecturing me on how "young people don't want to go to the dentist" and just going on an unprofessional and condescending rant (when I had lots of problems going on at home so finding a new dentist was the least of my worries last year). When I was getting 2 of my cavities filled, the hygenist numbed me which was done quickly and gently. She made sure to make me feel comfortable and talked me through it, which really helped me since I have bad dental anxiety. However, the doctor had me wait an hour numbed in the chair because she was behind on other patients, making my anxiety worse. When she finally came to work on me, it felt rushed and she was not gentle at all!! She kept shoving the metal separator into the roof of my mouth and did not once walk me through what was happening nor check if I was okay. At one point, the drilling didn't feel like just pressure but there was a twinge of pain/sensitivity and I jolted, which she just replied "you can't move like that!!" rather than asking if I needed a quick break or more numbing. On top of that, there was a new dental assistant working for her who did not say a word to me, and did not properly suck the saliva and debris out of my mouth (she just held the suction tube still in the areas that did not need it) so it felt like there was just water/saliva pooling in the back of my throat. They also were not speaking English so I had no idea what was going on, and it seemed like the doctor was irritated at the assistant for some reason which made my anxiety worse. Once it was done, she flossed the tooth ONCE and did not ask me how it felt. It felt super gritty at first so I was afraid she did not take her time polishing it, and now the filling between my teeth keeps cutting my floss up and it felt rushed so I'm afraid she did not do it carefully (since she was behind schedule). Once I was done, everyone walked away and no one told me I was good to go and could go to the receptionist... just bad customer service overall and I did not feel welcome. Honestly, the only great part was the dental hygenist who worked on me. Overall, the other reviews saying how Dr. Cagampan can be rude and unprofessional are true unfortunately, and if you are looking for a dentist who is GENTLE, welcoming/kind service, and will walk you through things, please look for a different place. There are several other offices in the area that have extremely better reviews which I am now trying out. read more

I started going here in 2007 when I first moved to Sac. The place is kept exceptionally clean, very modern feel with the flat screen tv's, and you never have to wait too long to be called. I have dental insurance and I barely pay out of pocket which is a very good thing. I can't say enough good things about this dental office. Dr. Cagampam is so gentle and experienced I trust her completely. I had a problem tooth and she was the only one that was able to correct it. The office is clean and the staff is very friendly and efficient. I've never had a problem with any billing issues and they always call to remind me what benefits I have available. I see all the staff washing their hands before they work on me and I feel very comfortable with their sterile technique. Update 2020: Been waking up with tension headaches and talked to Dr. Cagampan and staff about a night mouthguard. They have two custom options, I chose the softer one and it was ready the next day or so. After first use, I noticed a big difference. I didn't wake up with a headache and I had a good sleep. I've been to this dentist a couple of times for the past 2 years. They are located at the corner of the plaza where Target is, behind Spaghetti Factory. I wish she would have her name instead of just "DENTIST" as their neon sign. While I love the ambience inside, I always felt like I'm paying for it. There is a flat screen TV in every room and their equipment is very modern. The decor is calming and pleasant and their staff is super friendly, especially the receptionist. I think their work is okay. I just hate the "surprise" extra work that needs to be done every time I go there. Sometimes they do it without asking for your permission. I got a cleaning one time and she asked me to rinse with the fluoride located next to the sink, little did I know that little rinse cost me $20! I could've gotten a couple Listerine and then some! I also got a filling done there last year. Why does it feel like the filling is already chipping off? My husband went there for a general cleaning and he walked out of there with severely inflamed gums. He went back the next day and asked for some anti-inflammatory medication, which we had to pay for! He refuses to go back there ever since then. They are also pretty persistant in trying to get you to go back there. For a while they were calling me 3-4 times a week!!! I finally had to tell them that I'm financially strap and that I can't afford to go there. Ever since then they stopped calling. read more

My wife and I have been coming to Dr. Priscilla Cagampan's dental practice for the past 6-7 years. She is a very personable and friendly woman, and her dental work is good. Her staff is always extremely cheerful and friendly as well. They even provide us with Sensodyne toothpaste (our requests) after every cleaning! When we needed a root canal, her office referred us to an excellent oral surgeon in the neighborhood. We have never had a negative experience regarding payment or any billing issues whatsoever. This dentist doesn't even deserve to practice in the United States. Priscilla is rude, unprofessional, heartless and cutthroat. One of my family members went in for a simple extraction and came out with a swollen jaw and a loose tooth that now needs to be pulled. Priscilla was aware of her actions especially after her second break during the extraction process. Furthermore, since she isn't licensed to perform oral surgery, she took it upon herself to cut the tooth out and left teeth fragments within the gum. She is now being investigated for medical malpractice. I would strongly advise that no one, I mean no one enter this establishment seeking dentistry. read more

I'm a college student so I like things to not take a long time; I've never had to wait to be seen by Dr. Priscilla. This place is comfortable and clean; her lobby has a large tv, many magazines to read, and cold water in a fridge. She always consults with me whenever a service is done. They are great on schedule appointments before or after work. Another great thing is they are open on Saturdays. They are very flexible when running late that's a plus. Very family oriented office. Her assistants are awesome. However, Dr. Cagampan herself...not so much. They talked in their language while they were working on me. She watched TV while working on my mouth. I didn't feel confident in her at all. But her assistant who does the cleanings is great. She makes sure you're comfortable and ok. I'm searching for a new dentist now. I have read some of these reviews and from my personal experience I never had a problem or issue.......My family and I have been coming to Dr. Priscilla Cagampan office since 2007 and we love her services and staff. Office is very nice and clean. No wait time. Services is great and staff is very nice and friendly. My kids have been seeing her since their first tooth and they are very comfortable with her and she is great with the kids. I highly recommend her as she is very knowledgeable and always consult with the patients before any services are done. If you don't want to miss out on a great dentist you should book an appointment and give her a try because she is pretty awesome!!! read more

I went to this dentist for a couple of years, I always needed work done (Money) I was told I had a cavity in the front of my teeth, I went to another dentist I didn't mention the so call cavity. The new dentist took xrays and guess what no cavity anywhere It has been two years later still no cavities. I will never go to this place again she was going to drill a hole in my tooth just for the money. Shame shame shame on this dentist. read more

If I could give 0 stars, I would. I have been to this dentist before. I called because I need a tooth extraction immediately. I am in terrible pain. I called all over, and this dentist's office quoted me the best price for the total bill. I am a senior and disabled and cannot afford much. When I got to the office the next day, I was presented with a typed quote that I was supposed to sign. It showed that my bill would be more than twice what they had quoted, and could go up to 3 times as much. I had to leave. I do not have that kind of money. It would have been much higher than a dental office that specializes in only tooth extraction. I am now forced to endure the pain and just let it die on its own and finally fall out. I emailed her that day and she never answered. Do not go to this dentist unless you want to be presented with a quote much higher than you expect. read more
